I think we will sign at least 3 defenders, 2 are close anyway according to Poch (Ruiz and the Malaga RB?), another CM/DM and hopefully a quality striker to share the load with Rickie (Cajellon?) There's a reason the squad we have has 39 points, they aren't good enough to be a mid table prem side

After that performance McManaman will be going to a club like Everton or Spurs

Only a year too late but the right approach I'd also look to try and find a younger version of Rickie somewhere

Maloney's a good player, been better than Lallana this season for them and would do well in our system-has a good end product and scores goals. McCarthy is decent as well and i'd look at both their full backs if they go down

So if Wigan don't win both games those on 39 are basically safe We still shouldn't be in this situ .. Lets hope we kick on next year

I don't think you understand football if you think he did nothing wrong, look at his positioning, his tracking of runs, general awareness of where attackers are. We are SO much better defensively when Shaw plays because he does these basic things properly
