SAINTS 1-1 Stoke City // Post-Match Reaction
JoeShmoe replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
You have to wonder how many of those players will start next year if rumours of money to spend are true Realistically Shaw, Clyne, Morgan and JRod are the only 4 definites for me The rest I think we can upgrade quite easily, harsh though it might seem -
Dreadful game, have to wonder how many of these will be in our starting XI next season, cannot again understand why Lallana gets in ahead of Puncheon
-
The how much will we spend in the summer thread
JoeShmoe replied to Avenue Saint's topic in The Saints
Indeed and i think we'll sell Ramirez for 10-12m so that'll recoup some of what we spend, we'll also get a lot of second tier players off the books which ought to bring in 5m odd (Sharp, Chaplow, Fox etc) -
I smell transfer funds, lots of em! Now let's sign some damn good players!!
-
Swansea manage some great signings and get their business done quietly and quickly...we could learn a thing or two
-
Where's Geoff Shreeves so Ivanovic can stuff the microphone down his throat
-
This, far better end product and more consistent, Lallana has been a major disappointment this season and his finishing is woeful
-
Indeed, some of the football we've played this season and the chances we've created its not unrealistic to think a real box to box midfielder could have scored 10+ goals, even Morgan has 4 or 5. I like Cork as a DM but his going forward element isn't nearly as good, however you dont know to be fair if he's instructed to play that way
-
Will he be any better than JWP might be next year?
-
Great post, spot on
-
That's my guess when i read it. Trust doesn't want to spend a whole world of money and make the club live within it's means. Meaning we would sell the likes of Ramirez, Shaw and Morgan for good money and not overpay on signings. Which NC doesn't like as he wants investment and a push to the next level as he's an ambitious fella I hope that's not right as if it is we aren't getting anywhere near the CL (not that we were anyhow)

I'm not overly sold on Cork, good player but i think a player with better passing and a goal threat might improve us (Biglia?)

Sunderland 1-1 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction

Yeah, i thought JWP looked a lot stronger when he came on, if he can fill out a bit and add some bulk over the summer i think he can be a real player next year, possibly in that no 10 type position -

if he's starting next year we wont have had a good summer. Hopefully it will be a Ruiz/Astori CB partnership with Fonte/Maya backing them up -

Really cannot understand why Lallana is starting ahead of Punch, we took a major step up when he came on. JWP looks he's filling out and bulking up a bit - might be a surprise next year Shaw and Clyne were very good again. Still feel Cork and Morgan get bullied far too easily and Rickie just looks like he's had it for the year, put in such a shift That team wont be the 11 that starts next season, but 3 or 4 quality additions and we ought to kick on -
What a player Shaw is, easily our best player IMO
-
Punch!! Again why has he not started ahead of Lallana
-
I cannot see how Lallana gets in this team ahead of Puncheon out wide, since he has been starting we've been dreadful
-
I think 95% of people said they wouldnt win yesterday as well
-
This team badly needs leaders, we dont have anyone in there geeing the team up, we'll just lie down now
-
Down, no desire, no passion, no nothing we are utter ****e
-
He's been poor for a while, long hard season catching up with him i think, seems to have lost that spark/energy. We need to strengthen up front this summer to help him
-
How long have we played now without a goal?
-
Wish this team had some passion about it, were not safe , like to see a lot more urgency, they look like they cant be bothered either Either that or someone's shook hands on a 0-0 beforehand
