This. I like him, really lovely guy so it seems, genuine bloke however that's the reason for his success. He might be a good manager, he might not be. I don't think we can base anything on his time with WBA, at least not just yet. We see it time and time again where a manager steps in as caretaker, works wonders, leaves the club, gets another job and then fails. Promising start though, no doubt.

"Thanks to Zaha being injured" - You can apply that sort of logic to literally any game ever in the history of football. Literally all of that post is down to variables and opinion. We'll never know.

I don't disagree with any of that other than the Wolves comment.

Burnley - Finished 7th last season. Had a few weeks headstart, fitness wise, one of the most organised and competent managers around. Everton - We never do anything there. Always gonna be a write off. Leicester - Silly red card, fluke stoppage time goal. Well orginised side too. Brighton - That one's ****ing annoying, admittedly. Liverpool - Perfect start till yesterday, scoring goals for fun. And Anfield is always a tough place. Wolves - Money they've spent, they have a squad that wouldn't look out of place in the CL. Not many teams are going to go there and get something. No one's saying it's been an amazing start. In fact, it's been a pretty poor start but I don't think for one minute it's been anywhere near as bad as some of the bed wetters on here are making it out to be. Brighton is literally the only game that still bothers me. It's a mess but we're better off than last year IMO.

I love Adam and Dave. They're like a comfy pair of slippers. Brilliant team. Are they absolute football geniuses? No. They'd be doing better than a small local radio station if they were. Yes Dave repeats himself and states the obvious at times but you try talking for that length of time without doing that sort of thing. Met Dave too. One of the nicest, warmest people you could meet.
