Lots of people believe that decisions made in a past life have consequences in this one. Why is it always Hoddle that gets picked up on for saying it? Didn't someone (I think I know who it was, an actor but I don't wanna name him in case it wasn't) say that children who are sexually abused are being punished for sins of a past life? IMO that's much worse than what Hoddle said. Hoddles entitled to his beliefs and if he happens to believe in Karma then that's up to him, it's an ancient concept which has existed pretty much since the dawn of time. I like Hoddle. He's one of the better TV pundits IMO however that's irreverent to the situation I guess since I don't know anyone who uses well-wishings based on how good someone is as a football pundit. Even if everyone is absolutely fine (which is looking more and more unlikely) then the game still should not take place. No one will be in the right frame of mind.

In New Jersey right now after a week in NYC. I've spoken to several soccerball fans and just thought I'd report back the conversation I had with my friends' father last night in. Basically, I told him we once had a player who didn't exactly set the world alight but scored a few off the bench. Then I said "I think he came out here and did reasonably well" so I went on to say BWP and gasped and exclaimed "THE BRADLEY WRIGHT PHILIPS?!?!" then spent ten solid minutes raving about how he's one of the best players he's ever seen and was in shock when I told him I don't think he's ever had an England call up. He isn't the only one either. They all absolutely love him here. I couldn't believe we were talking about the same player. I knew he'd done okay in the MLS but didn't realise he was quite as idealised as he is. Thought it was worth reporting.

I'm in the States atm and will be on Saturday, is the OS Solent commentary likely to work out here?

No one's saying it's nice. In fact it's downright horrible and he should be named, shamed and ridiculed. He should also have to do unpaid work in aid of charities. I'm just saying if you're desperate, you don't worry about morals. Morals aren't worth starving to death for.

If I was desperate for money and not knowing where the next meal for my family was coming from, I wouldn't even have to think about doing this. I don't know that that is the, it probably isn't, but when you're desperate there's no room for sentiment and morals.

Hoedt is pretty poor, there's no doubting that but he isn't responsible for half the things that people on here blame him for.
