Poachers goal that. That's livened things up a bit.
-
Austin!!! JWP assist machine.
-
Baffling team selection and no hint of a game plan.
-
"Pellegrino wants us to play an expansive style"!!!?? Really.
-
I'm clearly a bit slow today.....VVD not even on the bench?! Gone then. Bet we sell him early in the window, then cock around for weeks chasing possible signings.
-
No cohesion, no apparent plan. We are very poorly coached and managed nowadays.
-
Is he trying to get sacked?
-
Very good points. We need to refresh the creative midfielders, and get a manager in who knows how to set a team up to win.
-
Exactly this. Also wonder if could generate some kind of swap/loan-with-an-option arrangement. Would make sense given our need to strengthen/refresh in other positions. Sure there must be a couple of suitable, young-hungry types at Chelsea and City.
-
And given Conte's comments the other day: Bidding. War. Nice.
-
Wonder if we are about to see a last shuffle of the pack from Les.
-
Any chance of copying the text? Would like to see it first hand!

And it's the day after the Gao board meeting. Coincidence?
-
Hmmm. The 'popular with players and staff' line is always going to be said. Doubt we'd ever see a statement saying 'xxxx was viewed as a total knob by all at the club'. His record is terrible though and surely we can do better? *Conspiracy Theories Switched On!* - I wonder if the club noticed the fans view of him and this is some kind vague way to address the general discontent about MP?
-
That's a reasonable conclusion, with the caveat of course that we simply don't know his plans. Which is incredibly frustrating, yet sensible too..if he starts mouthing off like the Everton owner did then that'll cause all kinds of extra silliness to deal with: not least inflated transfer prices. So a more coy approach works......yet as fans we want to hear something from the owners! I wonder how the surrounding land and potential development opportunities fit in? It is hard to conclude that he wants to make us a super club, and far easier to conclude we're an asset that unlocks additional (non-football related) returns.
-
It certainly had possibilities.
-
Really hoping he was writing a large cheque or two! How many board meetings has he been to?
-
Wonder if RK will fancy it?!
-
**** me, is he still here?
-
And yet the Black Box and our extensive recruitment process decided he is the best possible manager for us. Christ.
-
A touch of 'Arry's Knee?
-
I believe he was in the directors box watching the players wives before taking over.
-
Come to watch a PL game first hand and get a feel for the league? Anyone know where he is staying? Perhaps a sneaky flight down to the south coast? Where's Les? Did he head home or up noorf after the game?
-
If he doesn't go tomorrow, is it going to be too late? Are we really likely to improve this season with him in charge? No...I really can't see it. Are we really going to attract decent players in January with him in charge, and with us looking likely to be in a relegation fight? Unlikely. Would we be able to get a better manager in if we got rid of him after January? Doubt it. If he goes in January or just before, and we start the window without a manager - what is the impact on our transfer window dealings? Not positive. We need him gone this weekend.

A defensive-minded manager, who is only able to set up a 'team' to play backs-to-the-wall against stronger opponents, delivers a defensive-based defeat against a superior team. Okay. Meh. It means he stays a little longer. That is not good.
