Walcott would be such an 'un Saints' signing that I'd have been shocked if we had done it. That said, it may well be time for 'un Saints' signings to help us out of the mess we're in.
-
There's only one Siph Mdlalose. Is this game being shown anywhere?
-
Were there any interesting possibilities mentioned in the interview?

Remember we don't buy success...we nurture it. And given the excellence of the coaching demonstrated so far this season, and our track record of picking up unknown gems like Gardos and Bedneck (or whatever he's called), I am sure these two signings will be on Liverpool's radar come the end of the season. #inleswetrust

The club have held contingency meetings about Championship Football

Particularly for such a defensive manager! -
Not with this manager. No chance.
-
Handball though.

How many times? How many in the last minute or two? Just how many times will we do this?
-
So...what's the difference today then? Tadic on the left. No Redmond to slow things down. Watford are a bit **** though.
-
Need top get this goal-scoring wizard in my fantasy league team. JWP!!!!
-
Ohhhh. Hoot tries one from 40 yards!
-
Strong chasing back from JWP too. Like to see that.
-
JWP - our new goal-scoring midfielder!

Think they'll be too physically strong for us. They are quite a big team. We rarely move the ball quick enough to be incisive, and we don't have the mentality for a fight. If you were Watford you'd be looking at this as a home banker - and an end to their poor run. If it goes poorly today then it's going to be near on impossible to recover I fear. I can see a 0-3 loss.

A bit meh. I think our model DOES work...up to a point. Bring in decent, younger players, have them develop and sell on for a big fee; while competing in the top 10. The crux is that we make the right player choices....we do seem a little too hit and miss with this now. And that we coach them well, so they do develop....which seems to have gone of the rails somewhat. Oh, and that we play decent football for the fans...which again is missing. Oh....and to really make this work we need a manager who will buy into it and be good enough to the job. Um....yeah...think we've got a problem. I WANT our 'Way' to work...but it's reliant on lots of factors, and right now too many of them are underperfoming.

I thought that was footage of every single first team player during a MoPe 'tactical' briefing?
-
£30M would be a crazy number to pay for him. Unless we do something drastically different tactically then it would be madness to sign him. However, if we had a Pelle/Lambert style forward to leading the line it could work pretty well.
-
Signed from Birmingham reserves....when Brum were a league below us IIRC? Seem to remember a few moans about us signing a player who couldn't even get a game for them! Turned out to be a hero. Loved him in the team. We could do with someone like him now.
-
Nailed on. Pretty much - I don't seeing booting Puel as a cock up: with the knowledge at the time he didn't look like a proper long-term fit. However choosing MoPe as the replacement WAS a massive cock up though. The related question is now what will they/can they do to address things? Have they got the balls/capabilities/money to dig us out of the hole we're in?
-
Wonder if this is a recirculation of the rumour from a couple of weeks back? I also wonder how he'd react to Redmond and Tadic's average attacking play, and repeatedly not playing him in..... presumably he'd do something crazy like shave their cat.
-
They're interested in people who already have a job!?? Isn't that cheating?
-
Who's heading over there on earlobe-watch? We need a lurker in a tree!
-
This is true. However they are also overseeing a dismal, atrocious season. And (seemingly) not acting decisively to change it.
-
Frustrating, but no real surprise. Our position, and our no-hope manager simply isn't going to help us attract players. A proper manager would help.
-
I am confident that MoPe can coach this out of him.
