Been thinking this for a while. So many stupid happenings. The sale of VVD was VERY dodgy for me....sell early, rather than force a bidding war? And do so without any replacements lined up? I can't believe the club is genuinely that daft.

I think it's just too late now...from the point of view of incoming managers. They'd have such little time to make an impact and turn things around. It would be a massive, massive risk for someone to come in now...unless they were truely desparate for work. I suspect Silva isn't - he'll surely pick up a decent job in the summer? Everton perhaps.

Sums up the qualility of the recruitment and leadership in the club at present.

He should have gone many weeks ago. I would have far more respect for the board if they held their hands up over making a recruitment mistake, and appointed someone to keep us up.
