Article says that if we agree to a deal Ron and agent will go to Merseyside this weekend. But aren't they there already?

And what, specifically, has changed since then?

So what are the factual updates in the past few hours? Has it been confirmed that someone has gone up to Liverpool? Do we know who? (Original report said the agent, yet some here are saying Ron). Anything further on the Liverpool News article that said the owner and chairman are in London today anyway? Or are we flapping over rumours and hearsay?

This bit appears to be added to what was actually stated by Guan. He mentioned 'a possible new direction', and that KBS knew more. He didn't provide any context or make any comment 'with regards to managers etc'.

From the Les Reed video........the most recent facts we've been passed. Taking the view that these are the facts, and that Les wasn't bending the truth or knowingly misleading us. There was also the newspaper article where talks were 'pleasant'. Until I see something factual from a credible source then for me the sky is still where it should be.

I am curious that we have had no word from people spotting him at airports. When SRL headed up there there were photos, conversations at Soton airport and allsorts. Is anyone going to volunteer to stake out his house?

This does have a nasty feeling of 'Toby' about it.......interesting potential for Reed to end up looking a prize plum! However: How do we KNOW that the agent is going to Liverpool? Do we know for sure he is meeting Everton? There are other clubs up that way, apparently. Does he represent any other managers or players that might be linked to clubs in the North West? This is afterall the professional and acceptable way for larger clubs to do things. Particularly when there are international matches on. (Hopefully Faser and Bertrand have been well briefed by the black box...)

He said they'd be sitting down this week, before he headed off on holiday. The impression he gave when interviewed was one of being very relaxed. Seemed to me that he expected it to be sorted this week. Perhaps wishful thinking of us that they'd be an announcement this week. I do wonder how this would play out if Cortese was still in charge!!
