This is SO like the story at the start of the summer over his plans and discussions with the Liebherr. At the time we were facing doom and gloom - I remember a Daily Mail journo on Talksport stating that Saints fans faced a summer of agonizing uncertainty. Then what happened? As pointed out above, the timing of this is interesting. If NC is as ambitious as people say then I can't see him leaving at this stage of the project. Gut feel is that NC is playing another game; perhaps for more funds? Trying to dig up another investor?

Shame. I was a fan. It looked like there was genuine potential there - a good fledgling partnership with SRL, which injury curtailed, and he didn't come back the same player (plus we had moved on collectively). I wish him all the best.

Recently watched...... Elysium. Decent; liked the performance from Sharlto Copley, and Jodie Foster looked milfish at times. 7/10 Worlds End. Gash. 3/10 REDS 2. Okay. 6/10 Inception. Rewatched, having only seen it once before. Awesome. 9/10 2Guns. Silly action film, liked it. 7.5/10 Kick Ass 2. Not as good as I hoped for. 6/10

The thing that may well lend credibility to a potential move is the signing on fee for SRL. No idea what he got when he signed on to us in L1, but a signing on fee if we went to WH would be significantly more. Wouldn't begrudge him that at all.

That's essentially how I saw it, but think JRod deserved a 7. Gaston was decent - provided the real incision in the first half and was always wanting the ball. Less effective second half. On his walking off: Lallana was already and prepped to come on for him, Gaston wandered over to the technical area, and just kept going.....guess he thought the substitution was happening, but it was a couple of minutes until there was a break in play. Our defence was ****, and there was little cohesion to our pressing. Won though, so won't complain too much.

Great points. I was at the game and didn't see MoPo go out to his technical area once. A couple of months ago he was always out there giving instructions. Wonder why he has changed approach?

So my guess is CB, with Fonte moving on if he comes in (there must be something in all those Besiktas rumours of a few weeks ago). EDIT - on second thoughts it must be an attacking player.
