BOOM! Didn't think THEVMAN was English. Had a feeling he was Forren........ And now I am off to the pub.
-
This. Plus young Sam has a chance to get a few games and goal under his belt. Great for his development, great for encouraging the other academy guys, and another great advert for us. I suspect we're going to be privileged to watch a lot more free-flowing, no-fear performances between now and the end of the season.

Somehow this gave me a flashback to Saturday afternoon wrestling on ITV.......big guys in tights trying to unmask Kendo Nagasaki. Think I need a pint.
-
Sad his move to us didn't work out. Record signing, Italy no.9 - playing for Saints; I was so excited when he signed. He SHOULD have become the blue ribbon signing that provided leadership and class to help the club and the academy graduates push on to the next level. Should've, would've, could've.... Instead he turned out to be a cock. I do remember the pics on here of him in his Y-fronts, with people stating they wouldn't want him anywhere near our great club. Drain the pint glass and move on......

Any news on a replacement?
-
Confirmed by us where?
-
You could make a case that SRL wouldn't have got into the position in the first place...
-
Loving young Sams runs in behind. AL nearly picked him out with a beauty of a reverse pass early in the first half. Enjoying this game. Hope the 'terrible performance of Arsenal'......'their worst performance in ages'....... continues.
-
Positive thinking! He got in the position for the chance. He'll get another chance today.
-
Commentators on the stream I'm watching (Houghton - cock) are already making excuses for the Arse. They were late, and haven't woken up yet.

1-0 Fonte!!!

This is lovely, neat and tidy stuff. Need to score this half though.
-
Good luck Sam!
-
Good luck to him. Another 'victim'(?!) of our swift progress through the leagues. He should be good enough to find a new club and forge a decent career.
-
Good stuff - the window is warming up. I predict an entertaining Friday for us. I like that they're Lacey too - it's the new hungry.
-
Reckon he'd be a good fit for our high-pressing, close down from the front style?
-
Where did he get the one signing info?
-
Like it! At last an airport-based rumour. Have to ask though.....Standstead? Strange place to fly into if you're heading to Southampton.
-
It really is a dull transfer window; hard to think of a quieter one generally or for us in particular. I reckon we will see some movement; if Ossie is going then surely we'll bring someone in - even on loan.
-
It's rarely dull for us is it? Could add the first goal of a (potentially) quality academy product?
-
Yep. He's class. Big Vic brings more of a physical presence, JC has a better all round game. We're lucky to have such strength in the DM position. Wonder what it'd take for JC to get an England call up?
-
Absolutely a player we should go for; would immediately improve the starting 11. Essentially he's Steven D, but with way more skill and creativity, and scores goals. If he goes to another prem side I will be mightily ****ed off.
-
Having mused this overnight I now wonder if we would be better to keep him...... No need to rush into decisions. Have him train with the U21s until he makes a full, honest and public apology. Assuming he wants to go the World Cup he'd have little choice but to knuckle down and earn a place in the side, and then impress enough top get to Brazil. We won't see his value drop any more from now to the end of the season (if he doesn't play much); but it could go up if he has a decent WC.

I am in Winchester. I know what women look like (even fugly ones). I am willing to stake out the Costa Coffee place and provide reports on a minute-by-minute basis. I think I will be good at this, because a) I like coffee and b) For Christmas when I was 8 I was given a book on how to be a spy, which included good stuff like disguises - how to make fake teeth out of orange peel and beards out of curled up paper.
-
Yep. Think he is a quality, quality player. And really could have done something for us. Was so excited when he signed. Was a little concerned that he hadn't fitted in as quickly as he should......you expect a fully grown, experienced guy to adapt to the PL quicker. Up to now I haven't minded his temperament/aggression: can't hurt to ave a 'handy lad' on the pitch. But now....no. Time to cut loose. Swap deal or loan with a sell after the World Cup. Wonder how long he'll remain our record signing?
