Bednarek off, and didn't look happy. Mara on.
-
Jesus Christ. This is Leeds, at our place. We've really lost our way.
-
Lost my stream. Which is annoying. But does mean I can imagine that we're playing better.
-
Bollocks. Asleep.
-
Okay. Not terrible. Lacking some cutting edge, but we're used to that. Moi has picked up some decent positions, but terrible end product. Let's get Aribo on!
-
Liking ABK.
-
Good football. Unlucky Stu didn't quite get through. Oooohhh. Close on for VAR.
-
Shame that we have to pick players who we want to move on. Shopwindow time guys - earn that move! No Perraud in the squad. Is he injured? Sold?! Moi starting over Aribo....... the only reason will be to have him come off the bench against tiring opponents. At least there's some pace available to bring on. 3 at the back - that's okay, as long as we press well: which we did at times in pre-season. C'mon Saints. Lets have a performance to make us proud.

Word of the day: bravery. We need RH to be brave with his selection and tactics, and we need the players to be brave from the off. If we do our timid act then I think the atmosphere will get toxic (and we'll gt beat). Team needs to go for it - if we lose 4-3 and have given it everything that's okay with me. Have to see some drive and energy today.
-
Cause the first team players are mostly shite?
-
I'm confident they'll be a few Cuntos in the stadium by the time you get there.
-
Actually we've signed Nick Pope.
-
Wonder where that leaves the Che to Forst stuff? I remain confident that SR are going to pull a couple of rabbits out of their metaphorical hats. Delap, Broja, Dembele, the tall Austrian and the guy 'Z' fella haven't moved yet. Although gut feel is Broja would be a no-go after the (slightly concerning) RH comments. CHO hasn't signed anywhere yet. What is forum favorite Caleta-Carr up to? Phil Jones has still not moved. There's plenty of decent players who look like they'll be making moves in the next few weeks.

Feels like a massive game this. Come out with pressing, energy and effervescence and the world will be a much happier place. Set out a defensive, rabbit-in-headlights, safety first and things wil turn nasty quick. Will we play the 'open to offers' guys? Shop window, or will they give a shit? I'm guessing they don't start. Baz KWP - ABK - Salisu - Perraud Romeu - Lav JWP - Aribo - Stu AA (prefer Che though) The kids'll come good. 3-1 Saints. I remain an optimist.

I still feel the same. Good that we've got the new coaching team; good that we've had some squad investment (definitely need a few more of starting quality). I REALLY want him to come good - when we're on form under RH, we've been fantastic to watch. (Yes, I know the opposite is completely true! 💩💩💩) Didn't like some of his comments at the fan's forum though; looked under pressure. I doubt SR liked his (or Semmens) comments. It does feel like the tide has turned against him, but I'm rooting for him to get us back to our post lockdown form over the next 7 games. Not easy - momentum curves and stuff*. Gut feel is he won't manage to and will be gone by October sadly. Hope I'm incorrect on this. Needs a big performance on Satuurday. * Where is Glasgow Saint/Heisenberg/Kenyan chappie these days?

Perhaps 'smaller first team squad' is a component of #pathway? More opps for youngsters on the bench.
-
Exactly what I was going to post! RH has his limitations, but the factor that has most impacted Saints over the past few years is the quality of player. Will be interesting to see which of these previous first-team stalwarts get moves to other premier league clubs. As an aside......have any of our previous coaching team got jobs elsewhere?
-
Yep. The quality of our squad over recent seasons has been, frankly, shit.
-
Tella out on loan, Che linked away (and no 'not for sale' message from the club). They must be pretty confident of securing some attacking players. The ones we've been linked with earlier in the summer still haven't made moves.

Nice snippet - thanks for sharing. Sounds like a clearout is well needed and well overdue too..... we've had a lot of the same core players in place for too long. The 'come too late' is an interesting phrase..... for whom? The player himself or others too? It's the start of the new season, and we're not down yet; and the changes can't be 'too late' in the context of new players, or the new owners. I feel some alignment to my job...... the company I'm with were unexpectedly taken over by a competitor a few months back. A few people have already left, because of the uncertainty and fear of change; there's an incredible level of negativity from some, and huge optimism and excitement from others. Even though nothing has actually changed yet. Must be stange for the new starters these days. Funny thing, the human mind.

He didn't say that.

This on YouTube? Is there a link? (I'm listening to Solent). Edit: found it

Nice Q: future of AM and Theo, and how about signing a more experienced striker...... .....non committal on AM and Theo. 'They're good guys'. On striker: it's about quality, not experience. RH says we're looking... so are lots of others. Says we need to get more clean sheets. Hard to defend against some PL strikers. We do need another striker though.
-
3 at the back since it's easier to learn than 4-2-2-2 for the new, young guys. Says RH.
-
Che to Everton bollocks according to Semmens. Didn't play last weekend because AA scored more in pre-season. Says RH. Hmmm.
