  1. Hard to hold it against him if it is a £££ based move. He could sit at his boyhood club, train hard for the next few years and perhaps make the first team squad from time to time; or do the same at Newcastle and earn loads more. Maybe he'd get more first team chances here, but no guarantees. Plenty of young, promising players never kick on from the age of 16: we've had a few 'stalled wonderkids' ourselves recently. Put a large slice of it in the bank son!
  2. Include AA in the deal perhaps?

    Sport Republic

Pyramid scheme innit. And we're at the top. We get to sit in our twin-garaged new-build semi, reaping the benefits and driving a near-new MX-5 while others knock on doors and sell the lower-league midfielder equivalent of Herbalife knock offs. Sit back and bask.
  4. I wonder just how many times I have pushed F5 on here over the years? BTW - has Skacel signed yet?
  5. We'll that escalated quickly. (Wish I could work out how to post GIFs from my phone). What does this mean for the Richards link?
  6. He brings some variety to the team.
  7. Good!
  8. Would be good. Has he actually been linked to us this window? I think there were links in the past, and lots of forum 'he'd be ideal' type posts - but any real links? We have pulled of a few out-of-the-blue signings in the past: I recall Tino and Broja were very quickly signed with few (if any) rumours/links. And the takeover was kept very quiet.
  9. I hope we'll get an experienced CB too. As you say, we've got Salisu as our upcoming guy. Maybe (hopefully!) we'll see Stephens and Bednarek move on, giving us room for a CB youngster and an older head.
  10. It wouldn't surprise me if he was sold this summer. English benchwarmer to one of the 'bigger' clubs. Hopefully.
  11. Everyone wants to touch the Golden Boy. Fantastic live track incidentally.
  12. "Ohhh Gazzy Bazzy He used to be a Skate, but he's alright now."
  13. Welcome sir! Not seen him play, and honestly hadn't heard of him until the links a few weeks back. But based on the various comments and articles on him, this looks to be a great signing. A very "Saints" signing. #pathway If he gets to the Tino standard then I'll be very happy indeed. Good start to the window!
  14. Ambition. Presumably he's the replacement for Glover, who, presumably won't be leaving until after the transfer window. Lots of 'presumably' here I know. But does seem the sort of recruitment we might make. #shoddyAirbnb
  15. Right age and price, excellent surname for a Saints defender. Is he any good?
  16. Colonel Mustard, in the study, with the haemorrhoid cushion.
  17. How he'll fit into the side? Ummmm, he's a goalkeeper. Shall we draw you a diagram, Sherlock?
  18. Nice. Back to proper football. None of this possession bollocks. "Get it in the fucking mixer!"
  19. What's that ball made of? It wobbled all over the place. Great strike though. Looks like he's finding his feet now.
  20. Give me a Saints team playing high press, attacking football, made up of the best up-and-coming players from around Europe, mixed with a couple of experienced pros. Solid cup runs, firmly in the mix for the 8-12 table finish. I'll be very happy Saints fan. Quite happy with the #pathway model. Hope we get this guy onboard.
  21. He probably missed it. (Wiv me? Geddit? Eh? C'mon, it's pretty good.)
  22. Run like a cheap Airbnb. (Thought I'd modernise.)
  23. Hopefully the Man City kid is able to step up and claim the no 1 spot. Tough thing to do, but Tino managed it. (Of course it's a little different with a 'keeper). I have this hopeful fantasy that we'll sell McCarthy and bring in the polish dragon guy.
