Did you see our first goal against Watford? I hope the keeper has the same blinder that Watfords had..literally
-
I loved Waigo...and would have him back in an instant - he was so unpredictable even he didn't know what he was doing and most of it was instinct! He was far more intelligant than people gave him credit for - remember MK Dons at home with him left midfield and he had a great game. Waigo wasn't black...he was green...very green when it came to offsides
-
There is also a 3rd group that I am in and base it on how well he plays - I can see his value in his selection and if you take his second half performance on Saturday why he has his uses to the team. Personally I think he is not the best option at the moment and my midfield would be Chaplow Cork Morgan and Lallana, on Saturday Guly didnt have many options as Richardson was well marked and having 2 defensive midfielders alongside him gave him very little outlet. I had several heated discussions on Saturday with a few around me who slagged him off yet when one of the others did they applauded and said bad luck. Yet never applauded him when he did something right. Its not a racist thing - its because he doesnt run around like a headless chicken ala Brett Ormerod.

Those marks are spot on IMO and well summed up as usual
-
Spot on I lost count first half where Guly and Lallana pulled off the defenders into oceans of space - Lee was making darting runs and Hammond,Fonte, Jos, Richardson and Morgan took so long we lost the space and were shut down. The diamond improved us but it wasnt until Cork came on we started to move and up the tempo. Morgan improved and ran the show after the first 25 and a toss up between him and Fox for my MOM.

I missed that but having been through senior school with him had a few other examples of that! Heard a few rumours lately about him and the US not sure if true. Shame was he was really clever and intelligent. -
You could be me.... 53 live in Rownhams 1st away. Jan66. 5-2 win at Farton Park. Norman Dean hat-trick. Addicted since looking through the turnstiles at Milton Road where my auntie lived and saw the game going on that my dad and uncle were at in about 64.

Yep certainly know a few on there - the lad with the black hat was in my class at Redbridge was a well known lad. Certainly felt the weight of his fists a few times at senior school. Also the lad Kev C who sat on the penalty spot was a few years older than me and well know around Millbrook. Terrible game, herded like cattle from the station and back and we were rubbish - Bristol put up a fair fight that day. -
Ok so you want to carry this on...wtf difference does it make who sings and where really? you were the one that bought up about only the Northam really sings so sounds like you are the one doing the crying. Why did I get involved in this...just it makes me slightly annoyed at the way some fans label certain areas of the ground and think they are better because they stand and sing in the Northam ...something some of us did years ago at The Dell and in fact at times still do. Regardless of my age and your wrong again there but why should I be surprised as you got nearly everything else wrong on this thread.
-
You also demonstrate your inability to understand basic sentences you write as usual. "it's the only bit of the ground that really sings" "You get a few people clapping along a bit and that is it. All sat down as well" and as I said thats is rubbish.... Next time you are at a match have a look across at the Itchen, look at blocks 33-35 ok not as vocal as the Northam but singing all the same. Ill leave it at that I think.
-
You really are on a roll now...wrong again.... here is a clue "but it never fails to surprise me how many thick people pack into that section of the ground" your section?? So what you are saying is that only real true supporters that sing stand up.....
-
Wrong.... All around where I sit in block 34 do so perhaps you are sat in the correct section.
-
You must be gutted this morning coming so close to pulling that 4 goal deficit back - must be hell not having a trophy to cheer for 7 years. You should watch and cheer on Saints FC at least we won a tin pot trophy 2 years ago and played at Wembley. That Arsene bloke has to be replaced soon do you think Pardew will get it he has won more recently.
-
Yes he is, he had no choice to play Harding as his only other option was injured. Chaplow/Puncheon both have not played many games lately and Punch was poor on Saturday. Adkins cannot be held responsible for Hammond not knowing what a Saints player looks like in the first 25 minutes or Lallana missing 2 very good chances or Guly and Lambert missing the target early on. We played really good stuff in the first 30 minutes. My only real gripe last night was why it takes so long for us to make a substitution - not just whats happening on the pitch but the player warming up getting his shirt on tracksuit off, board held up tactics given its pigging ages!
-
In every crowd there are racists of both black and white...MLT did get stick from sections of the crowd quite often - he did not get the God like status all the way through and maybe until towards the end and when finished. I certainly heard quite a bit of under the west stand at him in some games. I remember Martin Chivers, Jimmy Melia, Lew Chatterley(deserved), Groves, Dixon etc all getting abuse and they like me are all honkies as well! Its an easy cop out to play the racist card - you are wrong.
-
So what were all the calls to the radio about honkies Harding and Richardson who got absolutely slaughtered - you sometimes talk sense, you sometimes talk ****** on this occasion its the latter. Guly gets slated because he has that lazy gait that McGoldrick had...saints fans like the Ormerods/Lee type of players that look as though they give a sh1te. Personally thought Guly had a good first half and put in a good shift but second he was awful. If you can't see why golden boy Lallana gets different support than Guly then you are crackers and thats nothing to do with race.
-
Well when you consider how thick some of the commentators are is it any wonder? Villas-Boas the other day was asked "are you happy you have won 3 out of 12?" I am sure he was delighted, Nigel is Shakesperian compared to Colin, Fat Sam, Jewell and Poyet
-
If he had torn the ligament from the bone that is minimum 6-8 weeks, source my lad that did it and the Saints doctor that treated him at the Nuffield for it. I would keep him on the bench until we are desperate hopefully not tonight and save him for the run in - any doubts he shouldnt play.
