  1. I have loads of bum twitching games this week, my lads Saturday side need to win at least 2 of their 3 games to win their league this week, Saints on Saturday and then my lads Tyro cup final at Totton on Sunday. Loo rolls are in the fridge.
  2. We used to spend our holidays at West Sands when I was in my teens ..long time ago now. It was twinned with two other sites White Horse and Green Lawns? The entertainment was really good. As others have said its close so you can just nip down quickly if you want to - even get away from the wife! I was going to mention the flooding issue but see thats been covered.
  3. The window may well open on June 9th but how many clubs will want to pay his wages over the summer? Not that many deals are done early unless they are well sought after players...would TBH come into that category...unlikely.
  4. Oh dear....no matter what you post you get wrong...no matter how hard you want it to be true its not going to happen! The 11.5m....the next day we sold Chamberlain for 12m and that wasn't included in this figure! The 93% wages....you forgot to mention the bit after that in the statement that our revenue had increased significantly since then and now a lot lower. You are one sad, bitter obsessed Skate...don't stop posting you cheer me up just seeing you rant and rage through gritted teeth...you wish you were n our position don't you...go on admit it gnash..gnaw...
  5. I was a Guly fan up to the Portsmouth game, he has the body language of being too laid back and uncaring. If he does that on Saturday in a 100% wound up fanbase he will get slaughtered by some of our less understanding lot. De Ridder show flashes of ability but thats just all it is and very little end product - the one thing he does though is give us an outlet and can keep the ball.
  6. Exactly why choose Puncheon who hasn't even made the bench in recent weeks over De Ridder and Guly not exactly match fit in such a crucial game.
  7. No the last time we went up to the Premier league we didn't have one then and don't want us to have one now its a stupid idea.
  8. No we didnt last time so why should we now?
  9. Kevin Keegan Mick Mills
  10. Took me until Sunday night to get over Friday's game and all the crap results on Saturday. It wasn't we played badly either on Friday just we got punished for our errors whereas we had several that didn't really have an end product to good play.
  11. Yes I regularly take an assortment of programmes dating back to the 60's to browse through....then imagine what those players in the pictures would do in the same situation as the game is in at that time. Well you started it
  12. Not quite.....the first bit sounds like we should sell..I am saying as is the case if we have no option but to sell as you can't force them to stay. The vision isn't new at all but the way hopefully it will be implemented here will be. In the article it mentions 7 or 8 players from Barca academy...supplemented by others thats what I thnk our vision is as well. That will take time and may be several years to get that number in but it can be done.
  13. Name me a club that hasnt lost a youth team player at some time or other to a bigger club? The point is we are going to try that, this isn't new, it was Marcus's vision here I was told this a couple of years ago by the dad of one of our academy lads who met him.
  14. I am sure he has loved playing understudy to Cole, spent nearly a year honing his golf handicap, did you miss the bit where I said am sure he has loved having the money to lavish on his bird? I only played Hampshire league standard and miss playing every day now I am old git....are you saying he wont have any regrets about his career? I am sure he never regrets leaving Saints the point was he went to a club for the money not to enhance his career being a bench man.
  15. For every Walcott there is a Wayne Bridge...what a waste of a career - although am sure he loves spending the dosh on his fit girlfriend in 15 years time when he looks back am sure he will of loved his time at City.
  16. So....we use that money wisely to invest in the cream thats left like the Lamberts, Fonte, Sharps to supplement the youngsters we can keep......have you learnt nothing from the debacle down the road? No academy etc and no assets. Lowe tried this but wasted the money on 10 managers and coaches and pay offs in those 10 years.
  17. If you want bad omens....the last Friday home game was match 13 we lost - today is Friday the 13th.
  18. We were decent against Birmingham considering the conditions.
  19. You wait until Friday night when our lot sing Top of the League and Reading sing their naff 106 answer...now that is cringeworthy!
  20. Wrong it was sung way back in the 60s at The Dell on the Milton terraces. We do have the most miserable fans in the world - I think there are too many on here that care too much what others think of them. If you want to sing, sing, if you don't like the song don't sing it - I refuse to sing We are Top of the league as its sounds arrogant just my view don't give a sh1t if anyone else sings it. Your macho ego won't get tarnished if you sing a naff song....honest.
  21. It was stated on Solent who rarely get things wrong that he is out for the season.
  22. Harding over Fox are you joking?? Did you miss Butterfield performance against Blackpool?
  23. Exactly my thoughts I was a Guly fan but after todays performance I cannot defend him one bit. He will start on Monday. How could Puncheon or Chaplow who did ok at Blackpool be any worse? The problem is Palace have two very quick wingers and we need someone who will cover - Guly is not that person.
  24. I didn't understand the Harding substitution...why not bring on Martin for his height at set pieces at the end? Cork my MOTM I am a Guly fan - today he was abysmal and I cannot defend him at all not that De Ridder was much better. Our problems have been since Lee got injured and our forward line is so static the midfield struggle to create anything. Sharp scored 2 - never did much else, Lambert is nowhere near fit and Lallana dive was a disgrace. We need another win and quick.
  25. If the rain comes as forecast then it will suit the big hitters, Bubba Watson e.w
