I think a 3m bid for Gary Hooper at Celtic would be worth a shot, I think he would work really well with Ricky and even play as target man as well. Adkins knows about him I am sure from Scunny days.

A quick striker is essential for us in January Maynard for me as has the pace that will help tactical for us to push their defence back. At the moment teams can push us up the pitch as we don't have the pitch to run past defenders with any pace.

I normally agree with most of your match posts but your comments about Guly are way off IMO. He had a very good game - you missed him chasing back 60 yards to cover and get a block in. He used the ball really well - should of scored with a header though. Agree with you about our midfield - for 4 games now the 3 of them have played and for 4 games its not worked. Butterfield and Richardson would be far better than our current set up. Fox defensively was abysmal today and the number of times he got sucked into the middle leaving the wing exposed.

My first away game was the 5-2 game where Norman Dean scored the hat-trick. My dad and me were sat in the stand amongst the unwashed and celebrated every Saints goal - no segregation then. Be very surprised ..seems like agent drumming up a bidding war to me. Its just not the way we do things now and am sure LJ was told to keep this quiet if it was a goer. As for the academy many players develop later and are released before showing any potential. I don't think we have done too bad. Ill bet nearly every club has released players only for them to progress elsewhere.

How Walton missed the shirt pull on Lambert I have no idea right in view of the lino as well in first half. The penalty was no way inside, Brighton got what they deserved nothing! KD must of hardly broken sweat and cant remember a save being made by him. Our ball retention and passing at times was outstanding and work rate to get the ball back amazing. CMS must really be ****ed off he ran everywhere and never had one decent pass all game what a waste - mind you he must have jelly legs he fell over so much!
