Well I based my view on watching where he played for us...always at left back...never central defender - not saying he cant play there but he must of changed a lot since leaving!!

He was released by us from the academy and I used to watch him a bit - think he lived in Shirley or his Dad does. Got a good left foot - but was always very quiete on the pitch so not sure why we would be looking at him as we have Fish already as understudy. As for Lukas...he went to Mountbatten School.

Perhaps because Coppell thought Bristol City being in CCC already would be less stressful than it would be here. Hasn't he bailed out before? Whoever is in the job next season has a massive amount of pressure from not just the board but from fans and the players.

As we all know 99.9% of footballers are mercenaries if we offered more than he would get elsewhere he would sign. I must admit I really like him so am a bit biased....after watching some of the rubbish we have had in the squad in the last couple of years. Papa brings pace and guile - I thought he was great at left midfield against Carlisle and he is a decent finisher at L1 level and without his goals the JPT would of not happened. Depends on his agents cut I guess.

I guess it will depend on what fee was agreed for Papa if around the 500k mark think we will sign him as can't see us getting much better for that money. Great squad player. If AP is kept on and the ST prices are at a decent level we will have more than enough money to recruit decent and better forwards than O'Donovan. Constant 21k crowds must have us on an even keel and once we get rid of the dross in the summer the wage bill will be healthier still.

Good... his tactics at home to the Skates was pathetic.....culminating in a last minute own goal equaliser. The Skates were abysmal and for the last 25 minutes he just sat back and tried to defend and ended up putting on a young kid up front who was a lump of a defender and played Eastwood and Morrison in midfield!

Was in Gunwharf today at the Nike/Addidas outlet looking for some boots for my lad.....they had the FA Cup on show and you could have your picture taken. The compere was asking which teams you supported....in the queue there were Man Utd, Chelsea, 3 Saints and 2 Pompey....... ;-) The chap who was guarding the cup was really interesting and gave us some history this is the 4th trophy since the 1800's. As soon as we said Southampton was our teaam he said Bobby Stokes 1976 Saints won the cup. I know I said I was there!!

Had a small each way on Canford Cliffs. I had a bad start doing Absa Lutte Aspects of Love Sophies Beau who went off like a train then ran out of puff over a furlong out!!! Managed to claw back all my stakes plus a small bit more with Casual Glimpse and Eltheeb who strolled it with over 2 lenths to spare. One to watch for the future is Chilworth Lad who may of beaten Casual Glimpse had he not made to run a bit wider in the last half a furlong.

We did that one last year....you need to be there at 6:30 ish if you want to get in as it gets really busy. We made far more at Shootash than at Tesco Bursledon - punters didn't want to hassle you down to 10p for everything!!

Totally agree...have seen him 4 maybe 5 times - talks a good game just a shame he can't play one! He gets around the pitch ok just doesn't seem to do anything with it when he has the ball. Its either a yard pass nowhere or given away or he just never quite gets there and gives away free kicks.
