  1. We didn't let them go....they were loans that returned to their respective clubs. I am sure Pardew realises we need to replace them and will if he has the funds. Priority IMO is a back up to Lambert. We still need pace up front agreed.
  2. Johnnyboy They were 'camped' opposite The Potters Heron a few weeks ago for a few days. Still had those puppies for sale. Left the place clean and no rubbish at all - in fact the horses saved cutting the grass by the council.
  3. Forest Inn has shut down. If you are out Romsey way try The Malthouse - great carvery and big play area for the kids - football goals as well.
  4. So you are a better judge than Pardew then to decide who is critical and who isn't? Why would I spin FFS get real and over yourself.
  5. Didn't we also sign a left back /midfielder or was I in the shower dreaming that?
  6. Harrington will be up there with the leaders.
  7. Crikey only an hour ago he was telling me about it and his banner professing his love for Wotton.
  8. under my tartan blanket with that noise....... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2090047,00.html
  9. Webb had an impossible task to do and did the best he could under those circumstances. He did a really good job.
  10. I saw a brilliant nutty band in the Tudor last year...the woman was completely stoned and bonkers but brilliant as well. Usually a couple of decent bands in the Abbey.
  11. Also the guy who is running the line Mike Mullarkey used to referee most of the Reserve matches at Staplewood only a couple of seasons ago. An amazing rise that one from reserve matches to lino in the WC.
  12. Me...be in the Tudor, Old House, Abbey etc etc
  13. Keith Granger works in the Docks with my mate. He obviously wasnt offered as much money as he earns there.
  14. Apologies havent seen a thread on this yet but our 2 arrived today. same discounts as last year. Nice colour folder this year - black and gold.
  15. Yep Beckham is so ****e with his club career that AC Milan wanted him back!! Never done it in the World Cup for England? Who scored the penalty against the Argies that won us the game? He started all the WAG ********....how ...I thought that was the media ? Beckham is such a clothes horse and fck all else that he has played for 3 of the top sides in the World...jeesh they all must be such poor judges of a footballers ability compared to you sat on your arse in front of a TV!
  16. Well for League games it works out at £15 for me and £5 my nipper with ST's, this League Cup game is £26 for both of us....if I choose to pay Dunes ticket tax thats £9more for Bournemouth in the cup than I will pay in the league home game.
  17. Some fair points, I was just readin a post on the UI that I agree with, the Terry incident was handled badly and gave players an opportunity to do whatever they liked without much recourse. Capello may not have big match scenario at international level but some of his decisions left me astounded. I watched the game with some highly qualified football coaches - none could see why he was doing what he was it didn't make sense and am looking forward to the next few weeks fallout to see some of the excuses. The agents will want to protect their players who want to move on and further their careers and damage limitation after such a poor showing will be number one priority. The red tops will have a field day for weeks to come. I have lost all faith in Capello - from hero to zero in 4 games and am as baffled as you.
  18. So what went wrong then...you must admit some of his decisions were bizarre. Did he just freeze then in the Algeria game? Gerrard was the best player against the USA yet got moved to accomodate Barry and Lampard so 2 positions buggered by that move. Rooney was abysmal yet he kept him on. I am not making Heskey the scapegoat..he is what he is....so someone please explain it to me as I have absolutely no idea what he brings. A player that doesn't get picked by his home club is expected to lead the line in a World Cup??? You need someone to score goals and play someone who has scored 7 times in 60 games? Capello has a great record in club management so what caused him to fail so miserably with some of the most inept management I have seen since George Burley.
  19. Not for one minute am I excusing those waste of spaces - no pride, passion or self shame, However, Capello is the leader, whenever the team is looking for inspiration or a decision he never made ONE that counted. He lay down to the pampered over hyped numpties . Everyone could see we were crap up front and Rooney was shocking so why was he allowed to stay on and show petulence and be the spoilt brat he is? Capello should of hoiked him off at half time against Algeria - just maybe they needed to be set an example but no Capello just sat there waving his arms. He may be a fantastic club manager but he is not the man to lead England he doesnt have the charachter needed.
  20. Its typical of us fickle fans but after the Algeria game I lost all hope with him - he went from hero to zero with me. How you sit there for 65 mins watching us struggle and then swap a midget for a midget! Today bringing on Heskey at 4-1....why??? Please someone tell me why I just can't see any sane reason...7 goals in 61 appearances is he going to suddenly get a hat-trick? Rooney was abysmal in all games yet stayed on.....why? How many times did he give the ball away today in the forst 30 minutes? Prima Donnas the lot of them and Capello isn't man enough to manage their egoes.
  21. Agreed it works the other way as well - my lad went from being under 12 to youth category on renewals. Had I been dishonest I could of saved a fair chunk....by just renewing at the old price. I phoned and booked over the phone at the newer rate.....£140 extra this year though...ouch. The system should look at DOB and put in that category of ticket.
  22. Many thanks for that Bath Saint you have funnily confirmed all the things I picked up on yesterday. Bus to Uni every day - that hill, accomodation costs, the traffic, the course was fine but the other bits that go with it were a concern. She went to Bristol today and felt it was far more her, so its Bristol, Cardiff, Bath in that order at the mo. Thanks for all the responses a great help.
  23. Education
  24. Thanks for that website - she has gone to Bristol Uni today so that will come in useful.
