  1. Spot on....how many times did Morgan get the ball look up and have the 2 wide men alongside him? Kelvin looked like an old man...well older than me going down for 2 of those shots he could of walked across and picked one up it was going that fast and he pushed it for a corner! What was the James substitution all about? Good idea bring on a ful back that pings it in from 40 yards out and cant beat the first man! Their goal came about after a shocking period of play yet we set and faffed about warming up players...why when they did that at half-time. We were clearly losing midfield and should of put Waigo wide right and James in the middle 4-5-1 with Lallana tucked in . Poor from Pardew last night IMO.
  2. Thanks for that....in an age of technology you would think they could produce a childs ticket wouldn't you ;-)
  3. Bought 4 together 2 x £34 and 2 x£17....tickets arrived 2 in one row 2 in another and 4 x £34 !
  4. So you ignore all what was happening to Fonte??
  5. Well you need to go to Specsavers....so why is it ok for Leeds defenders to be all over Lambert and Barnard yet as soon as Jaidi, Thomas, Fonte and Harding got anywhere within 5 yards it was a Leeds free-kick. Why would Barnard go down when through on goal? On several occasions the linesman was about 3 yards away never flagged but he can see a free-kick against us from 40 yards? He was atrocious! You are the only one posting on here and on the match thread to think otherwise. I have referee'd many games over the years so know how difficult it is and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt - this fool was totally incompetant .
  6. Do you honestly believe that or are you posting for a reaction?
  7. That was without doubt the worst refereeing performance I have ever seen in over 45 years of watching Saints.
  8. How can you forget Ernie the Fastest Milkman in the West??? Well Eastleigh anyway...good old Benny.
  9. Can you tell me where your sitting and I will make sure we wave ours.....don't smudge our face paint will you.
  10. So having to have the pitch relaid 10 times so far has no bearing on the weather??? Did you go to Cardiff in 2003 and hear the atmosphere in the stadium with the roof on? I agree with your other bits....only poofs and goalies wear gloves! I only let my lad wear black boots......what is it with poncey green and sky blue?
  11. Plus it doesn't have a roof!!
  12. But how many times in our history did we do that? We got battered far more times than we won. I do not think we will be ready for ages as Pardew had to totally restructure the backroom staff. Its now starting to pay off at the lowere level. I think we will be in a far stronger position when ML leaves..for one we won't be a PLC with all the split shareholding that we had previously. We should not also have the amount of debt or a mortgage on the stadium. However....how much ML would want to sell at is a different matter as we have seen there are not too many buyers of football teams....or shall I say Arabs with money ;-)
  13. As you quoted him I will answer you ...as I have that plum on ignore....I accept you are not a WUM like him so dont hold you in same regard. Because for years we struggled in the Prem to compete and regularly got stuffed or is your memory faded....do you honestly believe we can compete with the top half of the Pl now? Or even when we get there? Dont get me wrong I want us to get up and think we will but it will take far longer than you and the impatient ones on here demand! We may even have a different owner by then. If you remember the criteria set for the club....we have to be self sufficient and you believe that we can do that against Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal???
  14. So you would rather us get thumped 5-1 by Man City like Hull than win 5-0 against Huddersfield and play the best football we have seen in years. Yep that confirms everything I thought about you and your clique of GS/SS
  15. What difference is it not going and listening on the radio from Premiership to League One still costs the same?? You can still moan and criticise from your armchair. Those of us that went in the Premiership paid well over £500 for a ST for me alone ...this year I paid £325 for me and my lad.....you do the maths!!!
  16. I remember the very same being said about Zamora when at Brighton....the very same Zamora that has been outstanding for Fulham this season and even scoring regularly in European games. If he goes he goes ...we will buy the next best in the division with the money hopefully.
  17. Thanks....that is who I was talking about in my original post !! ;-)
  18. There is an Irish Bar near Times square down a side road by the Big Sports bar did a nice Irish Stew $18. The big Sports bar is amazing you have little FST above the urinals to watch the game whilst having a leak. If you fancy seeing a show do as someone suggested above or head for South St Seaport (this is what Ocean Village should be!) http://www.southstreetseaport.com/ there is a Tkts booth here opens about 10 but you need to be there 9:30ish usually half price...we saw Hairspray - 2nd row and was fantastic. Whilst there have a look in the A&F shop(discount store) you will see some of the most beautiful shop assistants you will ever see. There is a pub here called Heartlands that brew all their own. Have a wander to Brooklyn they do a brewery tour on Friday so I am told - we missed it but plan on doing it next time. Avoid Little Italy its crap...we had a meal here and it was expensive and ended up having a row with the waiter about the price as we were offered a deal by the Maitre 'D....no horses head on my pillow next day so it was OK. There are loads of little Delis for breakfast if near Tribeca I can recommend one. Try this bar if near here http://www.mudville9.com/ do good chicken wings and loads of different beer.
  19. If you go to Macy's go to floor 1.5 take your passport and you get an additional 10% off anything you buy.
  20. Everything you want to know is here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2230655 Get a 7 day subway card cost about $27 and so easy to use. We stayed at Tribeca which was walking distance to loads of bars/restaurants. 15 minutes from Chinatown/Little Italy/South st Seaport/Battery Park/Ground Zero. I felt far safer in NY than I ever do in London. Staten Island ferry is free and get good pictures of SOL don't bother with paying ferry - sit on the right side of boat. Don't bother Empire State do Rockerfeller(Top of the Rock) go at sundown to get best of both costs about $30 and is awesome for views. Times Square pubs and restaurants are expensive and crap! If you want to try something expensive and different look at The View at the Marriott Marquis.
  21. Double Glazing. Will not tconsider Anglian, Pure, Apple or Safestyle.
  22. How reliable is this? We have had 3 quotes...the lowest is the only one on Check a Trade and gets good feedback and scores.
  23. Are you saying they are not entitled to that opinion...its a forum.....oh the irony!!!
  24. +1 I have as well....troll I came away from the last 2 home games feeling far better than I have done in many years. Having sat through the dross we have endured in the last few seasons it was brilliant. Saturday was no surprise....its what we have always done and will continue to do....I felt totally deflated but come Saturday will be back believing we can beat Leeds. We ALL want to be up a division but that doesn't stop us having to go through highs and lows, no team has the right to automatically go up and we have to earn it. We are rebuilding slowly and for the first time in many years I enjoy going why is that wrong...even if it is the 3rd division? Is it better being a Hull supporter right now getting stuffed every week?
  25. I do...met him a couple of times as he was going out with the best friend of my then girlfriend. Decent bloke.
