  1. Bloody hell! Portsmouth are offering price cuts of up to £120 with their cheapest adult ticket costing £575 .... in that ****hole!
  2. But with players like Idiakez etc out of contract we were showing the bank that costs were being cut - the wings closed, no buses. Nowhere has anyone suggested we could afford to keep John, Rasiak and Saga but to loan all 3...utter madness. Rigorous wage cutting may have save 10 points but how many have we thrown away this season by a shocking Dutch appointment in JP and the mainly youth only players in the first team! Forgetting all this board crap...I know your position which is very similar to mine except one point....that can be left now the only thing that will see us up revenue is wins. The crowd will support the team and manager if the results are there but to play 3/4 of the season with those plans is foolhardy at least and as I pointed out the abysmal waste of resources we had was nigh on criminal....good businessman my arse!
  3. I can as I won a crate of beer on the radio naming Euell as the scorer of that goal.
  4. Basics of budgeting...so you budget for a crowd of 17k then send out on loan 3 of your top goalscorers and alienate all your other senior pro's telling them they "are surplus to requirenments" and any hope of consistantly winning games to keep the 17k coming. Brilliant budgeting but then you would say that. Wotte sat in the background to see whats needed.....bugger me he sat still long enough didn't he for someone heralded as part of the Dutch masterplan! 90% of fans could of told him after 3 games or even before a ball was kicked what was needed...the same that has been needed for the last 4 years. A big bloke up front Euell and ball winning centre half in Size so fair play to Wotte for seeing the bleeding obvious and lets hope he continues for the rest of the season.
  5. Thats what I meant...how good they were! Apart from that incident then.
  6. I know its a bit unusual to have thread about the ref and lino's but I thought yesterday's were the best I have seen at SMS in ages. They got every decision spot on IMO. For the penalty the linesman flag went straight up and the ref gave it on his advice - how many times this season have they ducked out?
  7. I don't think its just coincidence that defensively we are better since Michael came in as coach. The one main improvement for me is corners...we actually now have someone in Size who can head the ball clear as well. At the start of the seaon and long way through any ball into our box was a free forwards header, recently we compete far more or have in the last 3 home games.
  8. So we were that close to administration we employed 4 Dutchmen, can afford 2 coaches on gardening leave, 6 abysmal loans that cost agents and loan fees as well as wages..have you considered that? Of course all that is far less than Saga's salary...or so some on here try to tell us.
  9. Bloody hell JFP you must of flown back by MIG Jet from the game....what's that you don't attend surely not such an uber fan.
  10. Fantastic performance and top class from back to front. McGoldrick was superb in the first half and worked his nuts off. Euell and Saga are such a great EXPERIENCED pairing that is what is making the difference as the ball is held up enough to get the support players forward to help - they feed off ech other so well. Size and my MOM Perry were superb as was the fantastic Kelvin Davis. Well done again Wotte although early days still I would love him to prove me wrong and us stay up.
  11. I think its too late to try it now but I think having Immudia as right back and Lloyd right side would add a bit more pace and steel. Trouble is Jeffrey hasnt really been tested at this level yet and we are not in a position to gamble. I have watched him quite a few times and he looks a decent player - think Kenton but without all the falling over and injuries.
  12. I am a horses for courses fan I think we should sometimes look at the oppostition and produce a side that counters their strengths and weaknesses. Cardiff usually play with wide men especially Whittingham who ripped us to shreds in the away game last year so we need to be strong on the right hand side of midfield - trouble is neither Lallana or Schneideling are good tacklers or strong.
  13. But as far as I can see it the main problem is this board and the previous ones are not fit to run this club. How many mistakes have they made in the last 4 years? How many mistakes have there been this season.....JP, Webster and Hockaday on gardening leave a good use of limited money, 6 pathetic loans, 4 Dutchmen here at loggerheads with each other rather than a Total Football(I hate that statement) now it seems abandoning the policies we have had for 3/4 of the season when 90% of the fanbase have been saying it all season. Crouch made mistakes especially with Dodd and Gorman and I am not advocating him back in charge at all and I still want an independant CEO to run this club properly now while there is still time. Given all the problems this lot have caused especailly Wilde do you trust them to see us through an Administration if god forbid that awful event happens? All this lot will do is look after number one and not whats best for the club.
  14. Yep keep quiet at an important time just like Lowe and Wilde did last season you mean...If you dont think there were calls for compromise in the last 2 years you are like others on here in the Lowe camp trying to rewrite history. Some of us have been asking for the 3 to work together for an independant CEO since the time this all kicked off but that doesn't suit your pro-Lowe agenda.
  15. Again why are you ignoring the main issue here....Connor was protesting against Wotte due to what he had written previously nothing to do with his performance in the 'short' time he has been here. Just so you are clear...there are very few who want Wotte to fail and if you took the time to read posts rather than jumping in with both feet you would also see that Connor also has written this on here. There are many silly previous appointments made by the current board that is quite understandable IMO if fans were of the opinion this would be another failure especially given the current managers history in Holland. I do not know Connor, never met him and due to an op on my knee couldnt attend the marches...although went to the games but he has done more in the last couple of weeks to move this club forward than many who post on here that rant and rave yet never ever go.
  16. There you go again proving my initial point...how do you know he is not a silly appointment based on 4 games isn't it Connor may well be proved right and you saying he was too premature is based on 1 win. Well thats what the Lowe luvvies try and kid us he has been here for...even though the OS stated he is part of the first team management. What happens if as possible we lose the next 3 games?
  17. There's klingons on the starboard bow starboard bow....
  18. How many have loaned out their 3 main goalscorers yet brought in 4 Dutchmen to run things, bought in 6 abysmal loans yet had no money....of course none of this had anything to do with the board.
  19. agree, personally I would hope that Connor admit he was prejudiced and protested too soon about Wotte (quote) Why then did you post that Connor protested too soon then? How do you know that he protested too soon? If you had read the reasons why he had his banner it was due to the comments Wotte made..nothing to do with his performance as a manager.
  20. Dont you think you are branding Wotte a success too soon?
  21. Are you being serious here ? Can you name me another club that has gone the Dutch route? Do you really believe we would have jettisoned ALL our main strikers at the start of the season in favour of an all youth policy had we had an independant CEO like we should of done. You are either trying to misdirect attention away from the real problems at the club or trying to re-write history or being blinkered or provocative. I know where my money lies.
  22. I believe it comes from his inability to say his name or his brothers name and it sounded like Fish so the name stuck.
  23. So is all of that a big shock then? Is this club and fans all happy and singing from the same songsheet? Of course not and there are major divisions in the 3 groups and I find it quite amazing that you think there will not be point scoring from all sides. You only have to see the threads raise recently with Jonah and his hangers on thrashing out like wounded sharks at 16 year olds with acne and popular members on here. There are then the Crouch followers whose fan friendly rhetoric see them swallow all that gumph. Funnily enough there are not many Wilde supporters who are prepared to stick their necks above the parapet. I want them all gone and realise that this is not possible but for the good of the club why cant they all disappear into the background and appoint an independant CEO?
  24. Well the loaning out of certain players has had such a wonderful result on both the league position and gate hasn't it. You luvvies do go to such great lengths to ignore the facts.
