Remember the phrase from years ago when they said "The ball looks like it's glued to his feet"? He displayed some remarkable ball control against MU when that actually looked the case.

We'll see what happens if he gets left out of the starting line up for a while. He's doing fine right now, I'm hoping he has grown up a little in his attitude. Time will tell.

I can dream too. However, what I do know is that Cortese is one focused motherf#cking tough SOB with ambition. Like him or loathe him, he always demands more than should be possible to deliver. It would be unwise to underestimate the mobster!

Yeah, I think he is done now, but his contribution to Saints has gone well beyond what he has done on the pitch. He has been the biggest contributor to the team spirit, and deserves a place on the coaching staff. Saints thrive on team spirit, and he is a great motivator.

Our gate was pretty darned good for bloody Villa! Seems to me we have just the right sized stadium right now.

Yep! That was bloody annoying! On the plus side, Saints Player had the extended highlights up very quickly. That was great for me because my stream didn't really help me see the game at all well.

I can't blame the Bompey fans for getting all exited at having us at their level for a while, if I'm honest. I would have been the same.

If we can get Clyne to play both sides simultaneously, we are sorted! I'm very impressed with our new signings. My only complaint is the stupid timing of the end of the window. It was crippling for the new teams that need to build their teams in the first few games when the existing sides already have a PL setup.

There has been some nonsense on a lot of other sites, just as there is here. However, Villa seem to be holding the record for arrogance and ignorance of other teams after yesterday's rantings.

And to think that years ago nobody even published a table until after 5 games. If you wanted a table you had to get out a pencil and paper. Of course, my house was made of mud in those days.

Yes. Definitely yes. It's all to easy to forget what a good defender does for the team. I'm very impressed with him and his skill....But his commitment is solid.

Biggest win for me, apart from Gaston's awesomeness is that we can still turn it around in the second half. That was impressive!
