A few years ago I was talking to a German at JFK. He though I was American. He was telling me how the British are arrogant because they wouldn't join the Euro and wouldn't do some other stuff that Germany told them to do.............Um, OK then!....

After 10 years here I have pretty much kept my accent. My only problem is that I can't remember sometimes which words are American and which are English. I sometimes try to give the American one so that I will be understood, but get caught in a conflict trying to remember how I used to say it, or have I got it all upside down and thinking a word is English when it is American or vice versa.

Yeah, I know a lot of people have already said what a great post this was, but really. When someone sums up a situation as well as this post, then it should get all the praise it deserves, if only to balance out all the twaddle that normally gets posted here.

If I didn't live here, it would be hilarious. As I do, It's frooking tragic. The whole thing is just pure farce.

Well, I have skipped all the other posts because my opinion is the only one that matters. I'm strangely confident for the first time in years that we can finally get a good start to the season and carry it through to the play offs. For no reason based on anything but hope, I think De Ridder will be a great signing and amaze us all..............Now that I have that out of the way, I will also prepare for the usual disappointing start as well.

I think it just has to do with which part of any country you live in. I can go to a big city (Cleveland or Columbus) and see a few hot chicks, or I can stay in my one horse Ohio town in the country and stare at all the mono-toothed fat ugly slags. Honestly, if I see a good looking girl in my town, I mark the calender with a splodge of man-mayonnaise.

I'm not putting any stock in a rumour like this. However if any player were leaving, I now have confidence since our promotion and the standing of the club that we now have the pulling power to replace any player that should leave.
