  1. Would be a brilliant idea.
  2. Hardly, the whole attitude towards football is different now. Since WGS left it's always been moaning and whining about poor players, now it's more a question of trying to fit in all the different players because so many are playing well. I reckon our second strongest XI managed by Pardew would beat last season best XI which just shows how far we've come.
  3. Failed a late fitness test so i assume he'll be ok for Thursday
  4. Just looking for a reaction, can't stand Talksport at times.
  5. He does seem quite down to earth compared to a lot of billionare types.
  6. I might do the same, bought £206 worth of tickets so it has got to be worth a go. AStill got the recipt so gonna send them an email.
  7. You're arguing with the same person that compared taking the **** out of someone for being ginger to racism... it's a lost cause.
  8. I bet MLG is a hoot to sit with at football.
  9. SWT sold 16,000 train tickets to London for the Sunday!!! Luckily I got on the 6.55 early doors and got a decent spot, saw a few people fainting and being sick because it had gotten a bit too hot for them which was a bit worrying, especially since the train wasn't stopping anywhere and going straight through. Surely SWT should have put on extra trains when they realised they had sold 16,000 tickets?
  10. I wouldn't have swapped my seats for any in the ground, they where perfect.
  11. I thought you where in there.
  12. He's good enough but I don't think he's the right sort of player to go with our midfield now, the 2m or so it would cost to buy him back could be spent better on someone else imo.
  13. Are there any places in Southampton that stock Johnstone's paint? I might start using it instead of Wickes and Dulux now after yesterday...
  14. Probably won't bother unless they open up the terrace, already been once this season and don't really fancy another midweek trip there.
  15. Is your name Peter Storie?
  16. Everyone around me cheered Cortese when he was on the big screen, didn't notice any booing at all.
  17. Went to the Metropolitan bar and it was gash. Should have gone to the Green man or the Globe really. Was heaving but luckily the bar staff where decent and never took more than 5 minutes to get served. Went to the Wellington and the Hole in the wall afterwards, great atmosphere in those two. Shame that was our last London away of the season.
  18. I don't think Lambert will leave, there aren't many CCC clubs that can afford him. We signed him for 1.2m or so and would need to a decent deal to tempt Pardews hand - looking at 2m~ for a 29 year old... Agree that we need more quality in midfield, a box to box player to play alongside Schneiderlin and get 5-10 assists/goals a season.
  19. Anyone else manage to miss two of the four goals? Such a mong, I hardly ever miss the start of the second half not sure why I did yesterday. Shame Schneilderin had to miss out, any word of his injury? Hopefully nothing serious.
  20. Davis - Hardly had a save to make, his season has been the total opposite of last season. 6/10 Mills - Looks a very good prospect and must be learning a lot from Harding, hopefully he won't leave in search of first team football. 7/10 Harding - Fantastic again on the right, really gives his all in every game and yesterday was no different. Pardews best signing. 9/10 Jaidi - Rock in defence as usual, won everything and never looked threatened. 8/10 Fonte - Calm, composed and strong in the air. Probably still has Doble in his pocket now. 8/10 Lallana - I've noticed he has started getting into the box a lot more since the turn of the year and he has a nack of getting on the end of things when he's in there, similar to Lampard... Just needs to convert a few more of them if he's to play at the highest level. 9/10 Antonio - If it was ever in doubt he earned himself a contract yesterday, looked better when he played on the right rather than through the middle. Can't ask for more from a winger - decent delivery, pace and a goal threat. Puncheon will come back into the side on Thursday but having Antonio back fit will be a great option from the bench. One of the best performance I've seen from a Saints winger in years. 10/10 Hammond - Works hard and does the dirty work in midfield, lacks a creative spark without Schneiderlin but the attacking threat from four in front more than make up for it. 7/10 Wotton - He's no Schneiderlin but he worked hard and done his job well yesterday. 7/10 Waigo - Very important player, always takes a foreign player some time to adapt to a new country and league and he's started to improve a lot recently. Sign him up! 8/10 Lambert - I think he won everything in the air yesterday, Carlisle couldn't deal with him at all. Would love to see him hit 40 goals in the season and if he can stay fit next season he will surley get 30+ again. 8/10
  21. His little flick to Lambert in the build up to his goal was absolutley fantastic. Would love it if we could sign him for next season, gives us something different to Barnard.
  22. Ever since Orient away I've been 100% sure we should sign him, great performance yesterday as usual.
  23. Any highlights anywhere? I missed the second and third goals at the bar
  24. the trains are going to be busy enough without a load of balloons. If people need balloons, fancy dress and face paints to get up for this game they probably shouldn't bother going.
