Staggeringly obvious? If we're not spending pennies we can go for a loan. That's all that was said. How is that staggeringly obvious about not spending a transfer fee? If anyone other than MLG said it no one would care. But you carry on.
Bunch of hard men beating on MLG. I know he makes the obvious obvious but he was actually responding to someone who said about us not spending any more pennies with loans not being free. He's right, so why be d1cks about it?
Would smack of massive arrogance to throw a game thinking the route coming 2nd is easier. We'd go and lose. I want to beat the best teams here and put in quality performances. Keep that winning mentality and win the group.
I think it's perfectly legit of Hughes to have assurances of what he can spend and reshape the squad how he sees fit, I love the fact he doesn't seem to be a man who will get told what to do with regards to the squad and has a bit of steel about him. I'm sure when he signs it'll be because he is happy that he has a semblance of control and that's fine by me. I reckon he will sign before the end of the week when Les relinquishes some control and then we can enjoy the world cup... Hmmmm.
Saints have said in the past that people at the club are just one part of a machine that should be replaceable and the machine continues to work. Or some bullshlt like that. The same should apply to Les, he shouldn't be allowed to make himself indispensable.
Im sure there are people out there that are/have been in the football industry and know what to do with regards to being a DoF at Saints. He has overseen a great rise to the premier league but he has plateaued now and holds too much power on the face of it and too many big mistakes are happening. He has to go and we need a DoF with different ideas.
Thanks for that, saved me listening as watching Evil Genius. That reads ok to me, they are not happy with the season, realised that mistakes were made and hopefully trying to rectify them, first off by tying Hughes down for a bit longer.
Not really, I think he's talking about the season as if it's finished snd what Hughes has done to get them over the line. I wouldn't read too much into it.
I've seen this mentioned a few times but what is more important to thw players? Getting a record points score or being fit for the world cup and injury free? The points haul only matters to fans, the players won't get any bonuses for it.
Also with regards to the odds, Saints favourites for this game and Swansea favourites to stay up, some clever gambling could see a profit being made here.
