From snippets I've read it seems that Spurs want to do cash+player exchange which will free up some of their dross but we're offering straight cash which Atletico prefers.
The new forest is amazing, unappreciated by most of the inhabitants of Southampton I reckon, I rarely go to the town centre but don't mind a long drive into the forest.
If footballers are employees of the club they will pay tax as a normal employee would, if they are self employed it's a different matter and they probably put most of their salary into a pension whatever status to increase the tax bands.
LOLZ! Spurs fans aren't liking the arrogance of some the Saints fans, they may have a point. DT, you're mentioned in here!

I think there's a limit we're willing to bid and if Spurs know it then they just bid more. The club will look at it with less emotion than us fans and will take into account his injury record when thinking about a valuation.
If we miss out on him I have faith the club will bring someone else in who can do a job.
We might have put a bid in on what the club realistically thinks he's worth and won't go above it, say £15M, Spurs might come along and slap a million or 2 on top of our bid, in which case we'll never get him.
I think the Morgan saga could drag on so any expensive replacements will also drag on. The cheaper players that are on a limited contract are probably relatively easy to get in but if we're eyeing players on £10m+ then there will be competition for their signatures etc and will take a while.
A professional doing his job, never offered his undying love and never slagged us off. Decent player, I like him but I won't give him a second thought now.
