Can draw comparisons to CR7 to when he first came to England in his first season. 2nd season he found this and look where he is now. Basically I'm not saying he will be as good (well we can dream), but the fact that young players can only get this from experience. Of course, some never do find it and I would hope he isn't one of them at that price!

or it could be the fact that English players are so scrutinised that if he did bomb forward and get caught out he would be blasted in all the media so thought he would play safe...or maybe a bit of both

Still not sure on his best position from what I've seen. Can't play the tough tackling centre mid. Hasn't the pace to trouble opposition fullbacks..and not seen enough from him to say he can play in the AM role as well as AL, GR, SD so not sure where he will get his game time. Maybe a loan spell in the CCC would suit him if he wants to play a lot more than last season.
