Why did I stick dosh on a Saints win.....dull first half by the sounds of it.

The weather conditions are replicating the dreary play on the pitch at St Mary's as heavy rain begins to bucket down at the end of the first half. Neither side are making an impact in the final third, and the closest we have come to a goal is a 25-yard drive from Adam Lallana that was pushed onto the crossbar.

Southampton captain Adam Lallana buys himself a yard of space with a deft turn and the midfielder cracks in a rising strike from 25 yards which Ali Al-Habsi just about finger-tips onto the crossbar. Brilliant effort. By the way, there are hundreds and hundreds of empty seats at Southampton. Not sure what that is all about.
