Land-based public transport is the most depressing entity know to man. When is was in secondary school I lived in a small village about 5 miles South of Lincoln, which is on the route to Newark. 5 buses a day go through here and the environmentalists are telling me to leave the car at home. Anyone want to share a car next time we play Kyle of Lochalsh away?

Is that including the pitlane in a mine shaft and the hotel? Can't believe that's true, but if it is, it doesn't really make an impact of the racing in the same way as say Eau Rouge or the Corkscrew. There was even a turn at the old Autodromo in Buenos Aires very much like Corkcrew which was always a challenge.

Tilke's tracks look good on paper. Long straights with hard braking zones. They just don't have the soul of Spa, Monza, Silverstone or Suzuka. With Spa and Interlagos I think changes in elevation play a large part, as do local weather patterns.

Been trying to resize it, but can't seem to get it and keep the animation. Oh well.

IIRC... Beatts was third in the Cup Final season, 1 less than Henry, 2 less than Van Nistelmoose. Rasiak probably would have been top scorer. Think he was joint top with Earnshaw around the time he was dropped. In the playoff season, Rasiak, Saga, BWP and Kenny all got double figures. When was the last time we had 4 players do that in a season?

You could say stuff like that about a lot of sports though. "It says a lot about darts when the highlight was a lardy northerner throwing a dart at a small piece of cork." I'm don't think it's a case so much of having a whipping boy as having players who are regularly crap. Wotton may have put in a few decent performances recently, but by and large he has been gash the rest of the time. Hence he has been criticised. As for the others... we didn't get relegated twice in 4 years by playing brilliant football. There are always a few idiots who will never see a player have a good game because it fit's their outlook on the game. Generally however, most posters on here can recognise a decent performance from an inconsistent player and give them credit for it.

Just back from work, forgot to record the race, although that appears to have been a good thing. Great to see another win for Red Bull, hopefully they can be a bit more consistent next year. Assuming Macca and Ferrari get their acts together (and if Kimi goes back to McLaren), the WDC could be an 8 horse race next season. Kudos to Kobayashi too. Finishing ahead of Trulli in his second race is quite an achievement. Do you reckon next year's car will be better Ponty? I'd hate to see Kubica stuck in dog again.

Bit harsh IMO. Jordan is a tallentless slapper. Cole, whilst hardly Leslie Garrett in the vocal debt, is a moderately tallented pop singer and isn't exactly famous for sleeping around. I agree Ashley is the biggest tool in B&Q, that (and the stupid tatoos) are the only things I'd really hold against her. Metaphorically speaking.
