The current benchmark is a 10 year old 19" CRT with a knackered VHS player and no HDMI ports. Not sure I can wait until "after the first year" for the price to come down. On a slight aside, was also thinking of getting an Xbox 360. Do they have an HDMI link?

No it doesn't. Not for some homicidal wack-job with 15 life sentences for raped, torture and murder. No chance of rehabilitation or release from prison and they would deserve (IMO, although this is a matter of fierce debate) to die. And there is no way on Earth a couple of 9mm rounds are more expensive than upwards of 50 years of food, heating, electricity, guards, medical expenses etc. As for being on death row for 25 odd years, f**k that. That's how the American's chose to do it, but the Iraqis got Saddam done and dusted in a few weeks. And as has been pointed out, there is a difference in the levels of "doubt" surrounding a conviction". You could put together a case beyond reasonable doubt with forensics, eye witnesses etc. However I would reserve execution for cases which were beyond all doubt. Not being privy to the exact details of forensic investigation, I cannot say where the line would lie here, but there comes a point when you can say 100% that a person is guilty.

I can't tell who's being ironic on this thread anymore. :-s FWIW I think the EDL preach a fair enough message, i.e. supporting British troops and denouncing Islamic extremism, but in reality it is never going to function in civilised society. Whilst most members I am sure tollerate liberals of all races, a group like that is always likely to attract the far right Combat 18 types who just want to chuck bricks at Muslims. I will not be joining that group, but that doesn't mean I do not support our troops or that I am a 'left-wing mussy-loving' nutcase etc. Seems to be a lot of people putting bullsh*t words in other people's mouths on this thread just to discredit the 'other side'. Nobody is saying the behaviour of the extremist minority at the soldier's parade is acceptable. Nobody is slating Islam as a religion or saying they don't belong here. It's sad that we can't have this debate without such petulance.

Not Prem class, but excellent in CCC. Bit like Rasiak really. Good luck to him.
-
Why, does he have a distinguishing feature?

Not 'arf as funny as the sweaties.

Haven't decided yet. Train is about the same journey time and price for one person alone, but I guess you can drink more. Point taken. Edit: Ron - apparently it's £26 return on a Saturday. None-stop from Temple Meads to Central.

Anyone got one? Saw a few in Currys, PC World etc and have to say they look the absolute mutt's nuts. Amazing picture, low power consumption and I've had scabs on my knees which were thicker. Anyone reccomend a decent model or had any problems? I was looking at the Samsung 7000.

Mandatory No and yes.

Should be moving to Bristol in October and intend to go to all Saints matches when I'm not working. If anyone wants to share a lift and spread the cost of petrol around let me know. Ta
-
No When he was at Saints there were plenty who rated Euell and plenty who didn't. Likewise when he left some wish he'd stayed and some were glad to see the back of him. I doubt there is any one person who slated Euell and now wishes we'd kept him.
-
I mean this in the nicest possible way, but Euell is a load of donkey gash. He was a night out in Ipswich away from not scoring throughout the whole of last season and his build up play didn't exactly give me a boner. If he scored against Newcastle then good for him, but didn't a couple of part time welders score for Havant against Liverpool a couple of years ago. Hardly proving us wrong is it.

I would personally support the idea of the death penalty in certain cases. Namely rape and pre-meditated murder or mass homicide. Life in prison is just an expensive and completely pointless existance. Just sitting there playing scrabble and watching daytime TV for the rest of their lives. And our prisons should be run by this guy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio I certianly wouldn't go bashing grannies and nicking their handbags if I was facing a couple of years in tent city wearing pink knickers.

Don't think we've had widespread violence in recent years. There is ALWAYS some drunken idiot taking a swing at a rival fan after a match. Usually it is reported on this site and people respond with comments like, "our fans are all violent pikeys FFS!" and "this happens evey match, are fans are getting worse" In reality it usually just one or two muppets in 20 odd thousand.

I seem to remember his strong point being able to find Kosowski with a 50yard crossfield ball.
-
Pretty much how I remember that game too. I say remember, I wasn't there, but there were about 25 mins of highlights on MOTD and I was crapping myself watching Soccer Saturday. Every time one team had possession in the others half, you thought they'd score, and they usually did in the first half. Liverpool would have to be our best performance of that season.
-
Wasn't there yesterday. When I've seen him this season he looked promising against Millwall and completely lost at Swindon. I just don't see a case for him being our best player, or the best ball player in the League when he can't get into the team bottom of L1.
-
It's weird. He is like the opposite of David Prutton.
-
Pardew also confirmed he'd rather start with Lloyd James than, "the best ball player in the League"
-
This just shows how blinkered some fans can be when it comes to our own players. How can a man who has yet to register a goal or assist for Saints be the best ball playing midfielder in the League. Yes he is one of the best passers in our squad, but I am sure teams like Charlton and Leeds have much better. Ask a fan from any of the other teams in this league who they think the best ball player in L1 is and I doubt you would hear Morgan's name all that often.
-
Good luck to him. It's a shame he left IMO as I think Pardew could have recognised his attacking tallents and got the best out of him playing in midfield. Given how badly we've been lacking width and creativity this season, he's the type of player we've been missing.

I'd have said that is covered under the title of "Post Match Reaction" Ta

Maybe not lucky, but it might inspire Fish to score a goal.
