1. Is he Latvian?
2. I'd go with Davis Murty Thomas Trotsky Harding Mellis Hamster Spiderman Holmes Rasiak Lambert
3. Exactly, they, and all the other countries in the coalition were protecting their interests, i.e. the Saudi oil wells. They didn't go to war with Iraq the first time to nick their oil, they were protecting their existing supplies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Saddam controlling the lions share of middle eastern oil would have been an ecconomic disaster.
4. I've got it on Windows, not sure if it will work on a Mac. I thought it was great, but then I'm not really a big gamer, so I can't compare it to much. It's pretty dark, but the overall gameplay is excellent.
5. Really? Those semi-invisible blood suckers put the willies up you a bit, but I don't think it's that bad. I've got Shaddow of Chernobyl and thought it was brilliant. Keep meaning to get Clear Sky but I've not got round to it.
6. You guys are seriously deluded comparing the Lockerbie bombing to either Iran Air 655 or the invasion of Iraq. The Lockerbie bombing was a deliberate act of terrorism aimed at killing as may inocent civilians as possible. IR655 was a (very negligent) accident when the USS Vincennes thought it was under attack during the Iran-Iraq war. We could argue until the end of time about the rights and wrongs of the recent invasion of Iraq, but killing innocent civilians was never on the agenda. Yes, to stop an evil tyrant with the 4th largest army in the world from controlling half the Wests oil supplies. It wasnt about greed or industrial back-hands at all.
7. Half that "big squad" is just accademy players who have been given squad numbers. Add to that the fact that Molyneux, Wotton, Lancashire and Pulis arent good enough and we have about 5 keepers in there. Actually we are pretty thin onthe ground in terms of players who CDAJFU. GK - Davis, Bart, Poke Def - Murty, Thomas, Perry, Trotman, Mills, Harding Mid - James, Gillett, Morgan, Hamster, Holmes, Lallana, Melis, Gobern, McLaggon Str - Lambert, Rasiak, Saga, Pato 22 players and we are hardly flooded in any possition.
8. Not the right player for this team, but I wouldn't get rid of him yet. Needs a few reserve outigs to sort his game out without the pressure. Saints need proper wide men who stay wide and cross. P.S. And why are people obsessed with Matt Holland? The guy is 35 feckin years old and if he came it would only be for one last pay cheque. He was released by the Addicks for a reason and obviously failed to impress Colchester.
9. I'm sure things will improve, but I'm sorry, there were no possitives from that game. Lambert got one decent free kick on target and put the other in the grandstand. Nothing exciting there. His chipped shot came from a bad mistake by a Swindon defender and was nothing at all to do with the creative tallents of our midfield. Pato running onto a long ball from Davis and putting it into the grandstand again was not exciting either. There was nothing to be optimistic about from that performance. We simply squandered a couple of half chances born from Swindon mistakes.
10. Bale and Skacel did pretty well. A lot of goals came from the left flank that season. Vignal was also pretty good at getting up and down and linked up well with Licka a couple of times under Pearson. Ostlund could get forwards well too, although his crossing was a bit off.
11. I don't doubt that, but I think it's different in this situation. All clubs have players who want out and I doubt Rasiak and Saga are walking round moaning about how sh*t SFC is. As someone said, all clubs have 1 or 2 players who want out for one reason or another. Ronaldo and Tevez didn't do Man Utd any harm last season. Real Madrid have Van Nistelrooy and Huntelaar. Chelsea have won several trophies with Robben, Duff, Mutu, Crespo, Bogarde et al. sulking around.
12. Everybody, do the substitute dance... 1... 2... 3... waaaaaheeeeey... That was perhaps the worst thing about tonight. It wasn't like Pardew was making the best of a bad situation. Sometimes players give there all and fail, sometimes they're lazy but still pull it off. Sometimes a manager sucks every last drop out of what's available. Sometimes a manager assembles a tallented squad but utilises it poorly. Tonight we did none of these things. An apparently clueless manager with a crap squad full of players who looked like they couldn't give a hoot. There was nothing possitive what-so-ever about that display.
13. Criticising people on £4k a week who we spend good money to watch play complete sh*te. Who'd have thought it. I don't doubt he is a nice decent bloke. So is the guy who runs my local Indian, he wouldn't be my first choice midfielder either.
14. A Torres post I agree with... can you print a copy, sign it and send it to me so I can frame it and hang it in my hallway? I singled Wotton out because, despite some terrible performances, I can see a valid case for putting any player in the team. Except him.
15. Worryingly, it wasn't just slow running, it was slow thinking. By the time we got round to attempting a pass, the target had been closed down and it just ended up with a hoof or a backpass. Nobody played with any intelligence at all tonight.
16. Nope, disagree. There is no way you can pin this display (and judging by the timing of the OP I'm guessing that's the idea here) on those two not wanting to be here. Neither of them played until the 82nd minute and up until that point I could have picked 6 or 7 players who have put in far worse efforts than Marek and Rasiak recently. Our problems run much deeper than just a bit of bad attitude rubbing off on a couple of players. The team today was clueless, idealess and completely lacklusture. There are so many things we need to do before we worry about offloading our strike force.
17. Those two are the least of our trouble at the moment. We could have Drogba and Torres up front, they wont get the ball and we'll still let in set pieces.
18. He really is THAT bad.
19. Just back, f*ck me that was absolute gash. Travelled all that was for one decent free kick and Lambert missing a sitter. I don't know what Pardew was thinking with the substitutions and why he took so long brining them on. 82nd minute IIRC when he decided we might need to mix things up a bit. We couldn't even bring on the subs properly. When Swindon wanted to make a change, the player stood up off the bench, they signalled the 4th official and made the change. We on the other hand had Rasiak stood scratching his arse on the touchline for about 10 minutes. Think we were well into injury time before he eventually wandered on. I can only assume Alan must have walked in on Gillett slamming Mrs P up the sh*tter for him not to get a game ahead of Wotton. How that halfwit earns a living as a professional footballer is beyond me. Seriously worried about Pardew. Today it wasn't just a case of needing to know the players better or not having the players available. He just didn't seem to have a clue. As for the players themselves. Davis - 6 Don't know what everyone's raving about. A couple of decent saves, a couple of average, comfortable saves, but his kicking was way off. How many times did he put it out of play well in our own half. James - 6 Reasonable enough game, pretty forgettable. Thomas - 6 Pretty good in the air, and won a lot on the ground. Distribution shocking. Lancashire - 5 Wasn't all that bad by his standards. No real howlers, but not a good player by any stretch of the imagination. Harding - 7 MOTM He did well defending against two very good right sided players. The short, black RM was particularly good IMO. Paterson - 2 Not a roght winger. Hopeless. How he stayed on 2nd half is beyond me. Wotton - 2 "Sunday league" would be his agent bigging up his tallents. Schneiderlin - 3 Powerpuff Girl. Lallana - 2 Nothing from him except running into tackles. Gave Harding no help at all. Mellis - 4 Like Lallana, but had the sense to offload it a few times before he was challenged. Lambert - 5 Had our only 2 chances. Missed a sitter, decent free kick. F**k all service Subs: Touched the ball about 3 times between them. Saga had one decent flick on and lost a header against a guy a foot taller than him. My last memory of Gobern was of him running onto the pitch. After Rasiak came on I had just enough time for a quick p*ss before full time. Pardew - It was like some horrible flashback to Burley in 2007. Clueless. Crap selection, no tactics, retarded use of subs.
20. Is that another woooooooooooooossssssssssh!!! ?
21. Tucson is a cool place to fly a plane. There's actually an international airport around the possition that video was taken. Didn't get abducted when I went there. And I think that video might just be fake.
22. If your holiday destination happens to be right outside the terminal for Frankfurt Am Main or Barcelona, then you would probably save 3 hours flying there, tops. In reality you could still end up spending upwards of an hour traveling to your hotel even from those places. It all depends where you live and where you are going.
23. All we need now it to sign Brian Sausages from Aberdeen.
24. Ok, how about this formation Davis Thomas Perry Murty Harding James Lallana Mills Saga Rasiak Lambert Basically Davis rolls the ball out to Lallana, the other 9 players shield him from the Swindon team and we slowly dribble the ball forwards and accross the goal line.
25. Well, that depends on where you are going. Ryanair go to a lot of places which are right on the edge of the city and used by any other airline. And I can't think of a single airport which is 3 or 4 hours drive from the city centre. Hahn is 1:30 hours from Frankfurt. Prestwick is 50mins from Glasgow, Beauvais 1hr from Paris, etc.
