A winger on either side, preferably both with pace. Two central midfielders. One brick outhouse holding type (Pele basically) and one attacking guy, again preferably with pace. Two centre halves. So, six players I guess.

...if it isn't the first caption competition of the new era. "Even Saints new 'hoverstrikers' couldn't give them a win against Millwall"

Who was the last Saints player to score on their debut?
Arizona replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Ah ok. Pahars actually played against Coventry too, so that doesn't count. Anyway, I've got a better one. Saganowski. If we're not including loans, he technically scored on his "debut" against Palace. -

Last permanent player would be BWP I guess. Robertson on loan against Norwich last season. Phillips at Leicester Griffit against Blackburn Pahars against Blackburn about a decade ago. Am I right in thinking Paterson scored on his first START for the first team at the weekend? -

Nah, Lammy. Then we can all go 'Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa' whenever he scores. -

Lambo sounds uber chavy IMO. (I'm thinking Devo etc.) Lammy is funnier. -
Match chat on here. Updates from anyone with a radio link or those at the match would be appreciated. Saints Davis Murty Thomas Lancashire Harding James Wotton Morgan Lallana Lambert Pato Subs: Bart, Perry, Gillett, Holmes, Thomson, Gobern, Rasiak

Bit of a Daily Mail thing to say IMO. What they did was horrific and I can't believe anyone is even remotely interested in the costs of the trial, which must add up to all of 3p per tax payer. Agree they should be shot though. There are situations where the death penatly is applicable. In certain murder and rape cases it fits the bill and this is one of them.

No it doesn't, he is under contract. It depends on whether anyone is willing to sign him.

Sorry, can I just check I've got this right: 'Everything in the Echo is bullsheet, unless it's slagging off the OB in which case we all take it as gospel'? Good, just checking.

That was my own fault, I spooked him. He's not biting anything at the mo, shedding his skin.

IMO: Davis Murty Lancashire Perry Harding James Gillett Morgan Holmes Paterson Lambert

Wouldn't excite me. We moan about players lacking pace and mobility in our side, but Campbell has all the agility of a combine harvester these days. Added to that he'd spent his whole career in the Prem, playing for teams like Arsenal. If he came he it would just be for wages and I doubt he would look remotely interested. It would be like Fowler and Hasslebaink at Cardiff.
-
DC to replace him please!
-
I'll drink to that. Realistically, we can make do with what we've got on the left if we have to, but I'm not planning on Holmes being fit for the whole season. Maybe I'm just panicing at the prospect that we might one day have to play Molyneux.
-
And yet on the first game of the season we end up with Lallana there as a make shift. Don't get me wrong, those players will do a job, but I think we need one more left sided player to have a full complement.
-
Definitely: 1 x LW 1 x RW 2 x CM 2 x CB I make that 6.
-
Gzregorz Rasiak Marek Saganowski Matthew Paterson at a guess.
-
I would, but I don't work in an office.
-
It would seem 98% of people want Lambert in the team. :-k
-
I've added the poll, but I've gone for a more evenly matched choice.

Actually, slagging off your boss on Facebook is probably the dullest and chaviest way I can think of to get fired. If you wanna go out in "style" come to work naked and take a dump on his keyboard.

Jees, I didn't realise Picnic was THAT bad.

I bought a ticket from the office at about 2pm, so they had a few left then.
