List the players still at SFC with suspect temperament/commitment

Amazing. The number of people who 'know' alpine is a negative wotsit, yet still chose to open this thread. -

I think whether you are possivite or negative depends on how accurate your prediction is. Last season for example, some people claimed we'd definitely be in the top half, probably at least make the play offs. Others said it was a ridiculously poor squad and we'd get relegated. The former were accused of being happy clappy, the latter we're negative budgies. At the end of the season we were relegated, so the latter proved to be correct rather than negative. Sadly I can't think of a recent example for the other way around as Saints have seldom exceeded expectations in recent years. I guess those happy few who went to the Mad Stad expecting a win would count, whereas the vast majority expecting us to get dicked were just being negative. -
I have yet to see an unfunny, lard based joke.

You're stretching things with those. Nowhere near good enough in those possitions, if at all some of them. Overall I agree though, it's not a bad squad, but Gordon Bennett we need some pace and width in midfield.

I think Saga's attitude has always been dead on. One of the things I like about him. I've never seen a lack of effort from him in the games I've been to. I thought him and Paterson put in a decent shift against Milwall and then I come home and read how he is so lazy, clearly can't be a*sed, wants out etc. Things like that and the Notts Co thread just show how some people just want to hate a player. People will believe one sniff of a rumour with no proper source to back it up if it suits their agenda. One long ball he doesn't run on to, one 50/50 tackle he backs out of and that's all some people remember from the game. It's tragic. If you want to see a team of our world class youth players giving 100% in every game, I suggest you buy last year's DVD and watch the first half of the season on a repeated loop.

One can dress up in women's underwear too. I wouldn't post it on the internet if I did though.

And there was me thinking all Saints fans were negative budgies. Somehow optimism doesn't quite do this thread justice.

I guess time will tell.

Lloyd James strangles baby kittens. Just seen on SSN. Absolutely shocking.

Hate to interupt this mud slinging fest, but has it actually been confirmed anywhere that he's going to Notts Co? I can't find anything official anywhere and it would seem a strange move if true. Yes I know they could offer decent money, but they'd probably have to offer him £20k a week for him to give up his international career. Still, it will be great if he does go. Having no striker at all is way better than having one who isn't scoring. Sure it's just a matter of time before we start winning with Jamie White up front.

Yes, I forgot about Delph. Still, he was very much the exception rather than the rule. Name another L2 player who has cost anywhere near that amount. Delph was probably the brightest prospect outside the Premiership. I know some of you think our youth set up is the best in Europe etc. but it isn't. And again with the "He's 19 so he must be worth millions because he is going to go on and become world class" theory. Managers wont overlook the fact that he is completely ineffective just because he is young and has a good touch. I saw a 10 year old doing keepie-uppies in Flemming Park last weekend. Young, skilled... must be worth £4m at least. Just checking, but you are joking yeah?

We sold Dyer for less than that to Swansea and he looked much more exciting a prospect than Morgan. Blackstock left for about £500k and he had scored in the Prem. We sold Mills for less than that and got similar amounts in tribunals for Cranie and Best. Griffit left on a free, as did Sparv. All these players I rated more than Schneiderlin. Some on here seem to believe every player who signs a pro contract on their 17th birthday is worth £5m and you have to wait until they're 25 before you can criticise them. You're only worth what someone is willing to pay for you. From what I've seen of Morgan over the last season and a bit, I wouldn't spend more than £500k on him. Just because Lowe was that stupid, doesn't mean someone else will be.
-
Christ on a bike you're off your trolley with that one. When was the last time anyone spent £2m on any League 1 player? Lambert cost us half that and he scored 29 goals in a season. MS has done f**k all and was left of the bench. The only things which Morgan has going for him are a decent first touch and the fact that Lowe paid a ridiculous amount of money for him. I'd take £500k tomorrow.

Just back home. Went to all three days at Spa, great weekend. Gutted about Lewis and Jenson both getting wiped out by rookies on lap 1. I was sat on the outside of Pouhon for the race, so I never got to see a racing lap from them. Still with Rubinho only getting 2 points and none for Webber (again) it could have been worse. Vettel closed the gap a bit, but he was a long way behind and this track was always going to suit the Reb Bulls. Mixed bag RE: Fisi. Great that he got pole and 2nd is a great result, but he did deserve to win that one. Much quicker than Kimi. I guess it's been a while since he's had to defend the lead from a Ferrari though, but Les Combes is the best overtaking spot in F1. Eau Rouge and Kemmel are steeply up hill, which tends to slow everyone down a bit and Kimi had KERS. Was really hoping Fisi could get him back at the end, but it just wasn't to be. Can't begrudge Kimi his first win in over a year though. That guy is the master of Spa. Got onto the track at the end too, which was brilliant. Walked from Pouhon backwards to Eau Rouge. Stopped at Malmedy to look for bits of Carbon fibre, but the best I could get was a photo next to a great big tyre mark where Lewis hit the barrier. Thoroughly reccomend it as a weekend for any F1 fan.

If Old Twitchy bought Morgan at Spuds, I would dislocate my arse laughing. I really don't get the hype about thus guy. He has yet to register a goal for Saints and as of the Huddersfield game, hadn't got an assist either. He doesn't track back, tackle, move and according to the stats, he won 1 header in the whole of last season. Yet some people continue to be impressed by his "neat touches" and "great vision" despite the fact that they have thus far produced the square root of fook all. Yes he is young and may well go on to have an exciting future. You could say that about any of them though. I have seen nothing to distinguish him from the likes of Dyer, Gobern, McLaggon, DMG, Gillett, James or any of our other recent academy products.

Poor old predictable bungle. You might get a rise out of Alpine by repeatedly telling him he knows nothing about football, but I know I'm always right Anyway, if it's all the same to you I'll just show I know absolutely nothing about football again: I'm guessing you went to the Brett Ormerod school of the more you run the more it means you care about the club. I'm not just including movement in my analysis of "effort", I'm including thinking too. In my book just hoofing the ball up the field whenever you get it constitutes a lack of effort. Beside's he is hardly a box-to-box midfield work horse in the Prutton/Viafara mould. Just because he has no skill and throws himself wrecklessly in to challenges doesn't make him committed. P.S. :finga:

Sequel to a fishing simulation game.

Always been fascinated by Prypyat for some reason, no idea why. Seen a lot of photos and have to concur that the COD4 map is very realistic and well made. Would love to go and visit one day (and Kiev), it's just one of those things I'll probably never get round to. The Stalker map is less accurate (Prypyat is South of the Power plant in Stalker, but North in real life) but does capture the eerie atmosphere well IMO.
-
Could do, but if I don't think I've ever seen anything genuinely impressive from Nelsinho at Renault, even taking the politics into account. In his last race, Badoer qualified 14 places behind Kimi. Nelson qualified the same distance behind Nando in Hungary.

Are you on your period or am I missing something. What's exactly is so stupid about my post? :-?

Occasionally.

I'd like to see DC get the seat. True he hasn't raced a 2009 spec car and I know he isn't going to get it, but there are few better options out there.

I'm not being funny, but there are always a few idiots slapping each other about after a match. 15,000 home fans, 2,000 away fans. Most of them men, many of them pìssed, it's almost inevitable. Unless someone gets seriously injured it's hardly news.
-
Yeah, I'd rather not see Badoer when I go to Spa next weekend if I'm honnest. He was nothing to write home about when he last drove (for Minardi) 10 years ago.
