  1. So called because it looks like a load of tits hanging from the cloud. Could be, I'm no meteorologist, but that looks like a definite wave shape over the left of that ridge behind the water. Doesn't exactly look like your avatar either. Proper mammatus
  2. I already mentioned Holmes, but you have a point with MS. I hope we haven't uncovered another Andrew Davies here, he seems to spend a lot of time in the treatment room. Euell and Skacel would have been fit at the start of the season, if we hadn't been p*ssing about trying to get rid of them.
  3. Reading may well tell us we aren't allowed to play Pearce incase they need to recall him and play him in their own cup campaign.
  4. The tragic thing is it could so easily be like that. Aside from Holmes' injury and Saganowski, we've had those players available all season. If we tell Smith, Gasmi, Robertson and Pekhart to sod off we could even afford to keep Saga, Skacel, Euell, Lallana et. al. Don't think that's the plan though. I still think Lowe is trying to turn us into a football accademy in League 1. Bring in a bunch of average youngsters, play them for a season or two, then sell them at a proffit.
  5. Looks a lot like clustered lenticular clouds caused by mountain wave to me.
  6. I've already explained how: a) Air travel is far from being a major cause of pollution and is infact only responsible for 3% of worldwide carbon emissions. b) Not building a runway at Stansted and or Heathrow wont stop people travelling and will only increase carbon emissions as people have to be shuttled to other airports further from the capital.
  7. - - - - - - Davis - - - - - - James - Cork - Perry - Skacel Lallana - MS - Surman - Holmes - - - - Saga - - - Euell - - - - That based on the assumption that Pearce will be cup tied, if he is still here. Also assuming, Holmes is fit, Saga returns and he and Euell are allowed to play.
  8. TBH, I think were safe with Swing Lowe. For starters, if they nicked anyone who sang it, the only people in SMS at the weekend would be three old ladies in the Chapel (I know it hasn't got much airing this season, but give it till after the transfer window). Secondly, it isn't all that offensive. Nobody is seriously suggesting we hang him from the Itchen Bridge.
  9. Had a header in the 50th minute. HTH.
  10. You do spend a fair amount of time on TMS.
  11. Bit early to be panicing about being 4th from bottom me think. We were always going to be there or there abouts, I dare say we will be in and out of the bottom 3 a few times before the end of the season. P.S. Hoddle would be a great appointment. Wolves are falling apart without him.
  12. Pot, kettle...
  13. 2-1 to Aalborg at HT. Lolage.
  14. Think this bit might put some people off: "He said he did not build Aiko as a sexual partner" £14,000 though. Surely you can get inflatables for less than that.
  15. There is no magic fix, but it sure as heck would help. 11 league games at SMS this season, 1 win and only 8 goals. Having one up front just isn't working. Saganowski, much maligned last season, scored at a higher rate than anyone in our current squad. One up front just isn't working. I would also disagree that Euell is better in midfield. I thought he always looked at his best up front for the Dons and Charlton.
  16. He was behind the player, there was no way he could have taken the ball without going through his legs, which would have been a foul. He did the only thing he could and got infront of the player and stopped him shooting. It was a brilliant challenge.
  17. Sorry, but I can't buy the idea that 4-4-2 might be alien to these players. I don't know about you, but whenever I played at school and with friends, 4-4-2 was the default setting. Having one guy up front on his own just isn't working. Especially when that player is someone like Robertson, who just seems to have no impact on the game, or DMG who is lazy and can't hold the ball up to save his life. We do have 2 decent strikers in Euell and BWP, and I think they would compliment each other quite well. Against Wolves, Euell's hold up play was excellent. He showed the strength and composure on the ball that was absent for most of last season. If we have him leading the line, with BWP playing off him and Lallana, Surman and Skacel all supporting from midfield, we may see a few more goals. Otherwise we're going to have a lot more games like Palace, Norwich and Charlton.
  18. - - - - - - Davis - - - - - - Cork - Pearce - Perry - Mills Lallana - Surman - MS - Skacel - - - - Euell - - - BWP - - - - Time for a bit of good old 4-4-2. Drop all this 4-1-2-1-1-2-1-1-2-1-1-2-1-2-1-1-2- formation ******. Keep it simple, have the players in a proven system and play some players who actually know how to play football. Drop James, DMG and Robertson who have been karp for too long IMO. Pearce can stay as I think Palace was just a one off 'Bennett' game. Skacel seems to be the only player who knows the first thing about crossing and can shoot when he gets forward. I never thought I'd say this, but Euell and BWP are our best option up front.
  19. Er... can we just leave it at that please. Yes Jade Goody is a pointless, attention-seeking, retarded waste of space, but I'm sure we all know (or knew) someone with cancer and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
  20. Maybe the Wolves ref would have given a red card and a penalty, but in the real world that was never a foul. Sky showed several replays, which showed it was a fantastic block and he got his leg in front of the ball before their guy could shoot. The striker (was it Beattie, I can't remember) then just dived hopelessly on the floor to try and get a penalty. Even the Palace players didn't appeal for that, it was a perfectly timed tackle.
  21. DMG 6? He did f*ck all. I don't actually remember him having a shot on target all night. And how can you possibly think Skacel was worse? I thought he was our best player. Aside from a brilliant tackle to stop us going behind after 50s, then again on 20 mins, then again on 80 mins, I can't remember him misplacing any passes. He also got forward well to support the attack and even found himself in a good shooting possition a couple of times, whilst DMG was wandering around outside the area. I think some people just mark him down because it's Skacel. If it was anyone Fish or Cork putting in a performance like that at FB, we'd all be raving about how he's the next big thing. He was also the only defender who didn't make some terrible mistake in the first 20 mins. As for James, no way was he that good before his mistake. In the first half he was hopeless. The first 20 minutes especially was just hit long balls over his head, or between him and Pearce and watch the chaos unfold. He improved second half to the extend that I'd even say he was average. He got forward, but never created any openings, apart from his shot which spooned off into row Z.
  22. So that's Gore, Pulis, Robertson, Pekhart, Smith, Forecast and Gasmi instead of John, Saga or Rasiak. Which spanner thought that was a good idea. Oh wait, I think I can guess...

    Robertson

It's not so much that I like Paterson as I don't rate Robertson. The way I see it, we can't lose anything by playing Pato instead as Robertson contributes very little, if anything to the team. No, the point of a loan player is to give ourselves another option in the squad. Ideally someone who is better than any of our current options, or provides cover in an area where we lack it. Robertson does neither.
  24. Arizona

    Robertson

Appart from his goal against Norwich, has he actually contributed anything to a Saints game? Yet again yesterday he looked lost and could have played till Christmas without scoring. Yes I know he is young, and I'd be all for giving him a chance IF he was our player. However the fact that he is a loan just defies the point of playing him. By the time he learns the first thing about possitioning, shooting and all that other good s**t, he'll be off back to Sheffield. Jan if you are reading... START WITH PATERSON!
  25. Oh boy, that was a*se gravy in its purest form. Don't remember forcing their goalie into making one real save. Absolute sh*te. Glad I was watching in a bar in Scotland where no one gives a sh*t. As for the players themselves... Davis - 5 Didn't do much except get the ball out the net 3 times. In no-man's land for the first, nowhere near the second and little he could do about the third. James - 3 Absolute toilet. Slow, short, made mistakes, none-entity going forward... it's like having Jermaine Wright back again. Just can't handle long balls over his head at all. Absolute howler for their third just to round it off. Pearce - 3 Deserved to go off. Was being pushed for the first, but had the strength of a fairy. Also struggled with long balls and there was just chaos whenever anything went between him and James. Perry - 6 Appaling for the first 20 minutes, seemed to wake up a bit after that. Reliable enough second half. Skacel - 8 MOTM. Absolutely brilliant diving tackle to prevent a goal after 50s. Made 2 more great tackles to deny players through on goal, including one off a Palace players feet, 1 yard out after 80 mins (he was offside anyway). Some decent crosses and was the player best possitioned to score on at least 2 occasions first half. You really can't ask for much more from a LB. Lallana - 6 Flattered to decieve. Plenty of running at players and fancy footwork, but I can't remember any crosses and only 1 shot, which was going weak, wide, outside the box and covered by the 'keeper. Surman - 7 Good passer, but didn't really create much.Probably our best midfielder today. Cork - 7 Solid enough in midfield first half, although most Palace long balls went well over the midfield. Much better than Pearce second half. BWP - 6 Good running at players and a few tricks, but never looked like scoring. DMG - 3 Sh*t. I can't really expand on that. Robertson - 3 As above. Send him back. Apart from the goal at Norwich, this guy has been as effective as cardboard plumbing. Play Pato instead. Subs: Wotton - 4 Forgot he was the pitch until he put a shot well wide after 70 mins. I guess that means he didn't make any glaring errors either. Mills - 6 Looked like he had something in him, but never really ha mch chance to show what he can do in an already beaten Saints side. Ref - 4 Didn't seem to object to Kuqi using Pearce as a punchbag and ignore what looked like a penalty for DMG after 4 mins.
