I go jogging with a dog. No bodies for me yet, and I run past a small wood in a rural area, with a retreiver.

Interesting sh*t. Can someone PM me the link please.

I would rather have Cork at CB with an inferior player at RB, rather than have Cork at RB and have an inferior CB. In my laughably unqualified oppinion, a fullback having a bad gave is not going to be as bad as a CB having a bad game. I watched Saints train this morning. Obviously it wasn't competitive, but Morgan didn't seem to be putting himself into challenges with much enthusiasm. It kind of backed up the impression I got of him against Wolves. A big lad, but didn't put himself about as much as he really should do.

Got our tickets this afternoon. Managed to get three together, so I guess there must be a fair few left. R31 Row Q

Most people seem to be forgetting we played Jermaine Wright at RB for most of last season. Whilst he had his problems, his lack of height was hardly the worst of them. Gillett is much quicker and I think could do a decent job.
-
Well, the race I saw failed on both counts. Jeff Gordon lead for all but one lap (around the 200th lap when he was overtaken, then took the lead back on the next turn).

Jan was there. Had a good natter with Killer during the second half. Lee Holmes was sat next to us in the stand. Didn't speak to him, seemed to be moving freely enough. Was sat with some guys I didn't recognise. Didn't see any other first team players who weren't playing, or Lowe or Wilde.
-
Just back in here's what I thought of it... Good to see Killer back in action, although he did look a bit off the pace, which is to be expected I guess. Put in a couple of good challenges, but we wont get away with playing him AND Perry on Saturday or we will be murdered by and kind of pace. There weren't too many chances for either side, although I think overall a 1 goal win was about fair. Met Killer just as the second half was starting. Said he was okay and wasn't showing any signs of injury. Think it was just a precaution. If you are interested, the formation was: - - - - - - - Bart James - Killer - Davies - Mills - - - Pulis - - Wotton - - - Thomson - Patterson - Gasmi - - - - - - Robertson As for the players: Bart - 5 A few smart saves but nothing really special. Looked like he was beatten at his near post for their goal. Bit of a scramble, couldn't see it too well. Sliced a clearance and made a hash of deal with a back pass and ended up in a 50-50 with a Swansea striker, which he was lucky to get away with, injuring their guy in the process. James - 7 Played solidly at RB but was excellent in midfield after Pulis went off. Put in a few decent challenges, especially in midfield. Seemed to have a decent understanding with Thomson. Killer - 6 Couple of decent challenges, but off the pace and I would give him a couple more reserve outings before I stick him back in the first team. Good to see him back though and seemed to get through 45 mins fine. Davies - 6 Not totally comfortable, but no howlers either. Seemed to work well enough with both Killer and Imudia. Wouldn't have him in the first team yet though, even ahead of Lancashire. Mills - 7 Probably our second best player tonight. I would have him in the team for Reading with Skacel in midfield. Fish seems to have a decent engine and was never skinned or caught out of possition, despite some surging runs forward. Couple of decent crosses and seemed generally quite switched on. Thomson - 8 Very good performance from him. He's got loads of pace, although the end product needs working on. Great through ball to set up the goal. Made a few surging runs, including one to win the penalty. MOTM. I'd have him on the bench for Saturday to run at tired legs. Wotton - 6 A typical Paul Wotton performance. Solid but reliable. Most passes found their targets, even if none of them split the defences in half. Wouldn't have him ahead of Morgan, but as Fowllyd said, good to have as back-up and was barking out instructions all night. One or two rash challenges I'd rather he ironed out too. Pulis -5 If his dad doesn't rate him, I hardly had high hopes. Never really showed anything to suggest it he was wrong either. Pretty forgettable if I am honnest, but it was his first game in fook knows how long. Gasmi - 6 I actually thought he looked useful in the first half, but faded a bit after the break. He's got some good moves in him, but I didn't see much end product. On the plus side, he seems asured with both feet. Assuming I were to play Fish at LB, I'd have Skacel in ahead of him any day based on tonight's showing. Patterson - 6 Worked hard and showed some good hold up play in the build up to our first goal, chesting it down and laying it into Thomson's path. Never really looked like scoring though, which is a bit of a bummer for a striker. Worked well with Robertson, taking it in turns to drop deeper, in the hole. Robertson - 7 Well taken first goal, cool finish from a 1 on 1. Shame I didn't see BWP in the stand as he could have learned something. Well taken penalty, high to the left with the 'keeper going the wrong way. Also worked hard and did some good work playing deeper in the second half. Subs: Imudia - 6 He's lightning quick, but never tall enough to play CB for the first team. Dependable enough and kept a clean sheet for his part. No real errors, so can't complain. McLaggon - 6 Made one or two decent runs, but wasn't on the pitch all that long. Replaced Gasmi on the left wing. If I had to chose between them, I'd say Gasmi just edges in, as he looked a bit more composed on the ball. Someone also replaced Pulis and played RB. Couldn't tell who it was, but they were solid enough, without ever providing a threat going forwards.

I went to a NASCAR race last year and the F1 at Spa this year. Had to say, I liked the F1 more, even though it was only qualifying. The NASCAR race was the Phoenix 500. ABout 350 laps and one accident. It was so boring. As a spectacle it was pretty impressive, with a USAF flyby, fireworks and the huge crowd. We were sat on the side of a hill next to the raceway, fighting with the rattlers. Tickets on the hill were only $30, compared to E75 for the whole day at Spa. I did get much loser to the action (20ft from the track, with no fence in the way) compared to nearly a quater of a mile away in Phoenix.

Anyone else going tonight? I'm going to trip along with LatvianTolix. Haven't been to Staplewood before, is parking as much of a pain as the OS claims it is? Let you know what I find.
-
Lol. You were the one who didn't want to wait another 15 minutes. But yes, 5:50 till 7 next week sounds good.
-
Common misconception IMO. A good substitute appearance doesn't nescessarily merit a start in the next match, especially with young players. Players like Walcott, Rooney and Ronaldo were all eased into the first team with a few sub appearances here and there and maybe a couple of starts in the Carling Cup against lower league teams. You can't go from making a decent first team debut to suddenly being a stalwart in the first team. Especially if you are 17 and the rest of the team is barely in its 20s.
-
... Better luck next week then. We need 10 definite names to bother turning up I reckon.
-
Where do you live?
-
Nowhere near ready for the first team yet on the basis of the last 2 games. Been quite rightly taken off at half time in both.
-
Anyone know anything about the floodlights?
-
5:00 till 6:30 if that's okay with everyone. And what's wrong with Mike?
-
Could this work? I would have to say yes. Playing at RB his lack of size is going to hinder him less than in a central midfield roll. He has a good engine and could, IMO, do just as good a job as Cork. Seeing as we have no senior right-backs at the club it's surely worth a try. The big advantage would be it could free Cork up to play CB, and thus eliminate the need to play Lancashire. For the Reading game, L2R: Mills - Perry - Cork - Gillett. With Skacel in midfield.
-
1. I don't think we were lucky. We were very unlucky to have a ref who sent Euell off for a 50-50 tackle, then waved away 2 penalty shouts. 2. Euell wasn't an idiot, he was, IMO, our best player until he was sent off. 3. Headless chickens up front maybe, but we had some good possession and weren't chasing the game. 4. Cork and Mancienne are both on loan from Chelsea.
-
That ref was a retard. Couldn't believe how many decisions he, and the two lino's, gave their way. From what I remember three of our players, Cork, Skacel and Surman (I think) got booked for dissent.
-
I'm not sure whether it was the 10 men factor. We'd got ourselves back into the match a while before Euell was sent off. Besides, Euell was playing well IMO. Provided the closest thing to a big lump centre forward that we've had since Kenny left. I think the sending off was what prevented us from scoring from open play and therefore wasn't helpful. DMG was never going to score on his own and Lallana and BWP were playing too far off him. I think the best thing about today was that woman proposing to her boyfriend (how emasculating) and the Northam singing, "You don't know what you're doing."
-
I'd generally go along with most of that. I know we've never seen eye to eye on Skacel, but I don't think you can accuse him of putting in any less effort today. And he was still going up until the final whistle. He was booked for dissent after yet another terrible ref decision. (He brushed past a Wolves player's arm, who then collapsed in a big heap). Not clever, but not the actions of a man who doesn't care either. Also seemed to be barking out instructions to Gobern and Lancashire in the first half.
-
Ignore him, he's probably been drinking.

Aryton Senna sh*ts all over Hamilton. Anyway, so it starts at 9am? Which days do they let peasants in to watch?
