  1. Rasiak is on loan until the end of the season, when his contract here expires and will not be renewed. We have seen the last of him in a Saints shirt.
  2. Saga's loan runs out in January. We MUST bring him back then. Stick him up front in a 4-4-2 formation and we might just score a few goal, and defend from the front.
  3. Obviously Lowe can't fire JP as this would be an admission that it was a mistake to appoint him in the first place. Lowe would rather stick stubbornly to a strategy which clearly isn't working than admit fault. "Mutual consent" however is entirely possible, although no-one would believe it.
  4. I am willing to cut Jan some slack, owing to the tought circumstances he's had to work with. However, recently his team selections and tactics have been poor. It's a trip back to the, "I could pick a better team myself" days of Burley's second year in charge.
  5. I can't stand McIntyre. Whenever I see him on Mock the Week or 8 out of 10 Cats, I find him so tedious and just not funny at all. There's just something about his camp, attention seeking persona which makes everything he says not funny. Bit like Alan Carr.
  6. Shout outs on Radio 1 annoy me. Completely meaningless phrase. "A big shout out to Dave in Coventry" How many f*cking Daves are there in Coventry.
  7. Ah, scrap it then.
  8. Well if you say you will go and Botley does, then I'll go too. We can kick a ball about with 3 people, even if it won't be an epic match. It's up to you Rob.
  9. And Robsk and Calvin?
  10. Well I'm going to turn up. Even if it's just 4 of us playing heads and volleys, it's better than nothing. Should be a laugh. If we can get 6 or more, we should get some sort of game, even if it's in a cage. What time shall we make it?
  11. Hmmmm. What shall we do then?
  12. Yes. One miss is conclusive proof that we don't need any experienced strikers in the squad, and especially not Stern John who, despite missing numerous sitters, still scored 29 goals last season. It's not like DMG and BWP have never missed sitters either.
  13. So, who is actually planning on turning up this evening, and at what time?
  14. They can't just put out a team of kids, then blame the fans for not getting behind them when they keep losing. I am sure they are trying their best, but that doesn't mean they're up to it mentally or physically.
  15. I reckon the whole rumour about the big Prem teams all fighting to get him off us is mainly generated from within the club. The board are just trying to make it seem like we have a very exciting young team in order to generate more interest and boost attendances. In reality, I think MS would struggle to get into most top half CCC teams. There is no way on Earth Fabregas is losing sleep over him.
  16. If we had started with BWP, he'd have been completely useless, as he always is when he starts. For me he is a sub or nothing. Ideally the latter, but seeing as we've got rid of all the other strikers, he will have to play some part. Euell and Skacel in the midfield would perhaps have been better. Wotton is pretty ineffective in midfield, so I'd have him at the back ahead of Lancashire, who really doesn't look up to it yet. I'd go for something like this next weekend. - - - - - - - Davis Cork - Wotton - Pearce - Mills Lallana - Surman - MS - Skacel - - - - - - - - - - Euell - - - - - - DMG
  17. Here's how I saw it: Davis - 7 Great save for the penalty in an an otherwise pretty boring evening. Cork - 6 Reliable enough, but didn't really contribute creatively. Lancashire - 4 Looked poor and p*ssed around a bit when he should have cleared it. Completely lost his man for the goal. Pearce - 6 Generally good, appart from the handball for the penalty. Also a bit dodgy for the goal. Skacel - 6 Reliable in defence, but I'd like to see him in midfield, giving the strikers something a bit better to work with. Surman - 6 Typical Surman. Good passing, but a bit of a fairy when it came to getting stuck in. Wotton - 4 Typical Wotton. Solid enough, but pretty forgettable. Gobern - 3 Like a fish up a tree Thomson - 4 A couple of decent runs, but didn't offer much creatively at all. Lallana - 8 Only real good performance in there. Always running at defenders and created a few chances. DMG - 5 Looked lively, but lacks that killer instinct. Never going to outscore an in-form Rasiak, John or Saganowski. Subs: BWP - 4 Ran around a lot, but Chamberlain signed peace treaties which were more effective than he was. Euell - 6 Pretty reliable, without really influencing the game. Should have scored. Pekhart - 3 Send him back.
  18. Could just as easily be applied to McCain supporters, so there is little real point in that video. Bit like the "Your just a small town in..." you tend to hear at matches.
  19. A crocodile and an alligator. Crazy sh*t.
  20. There is no Sky curse. We are just as sh*t when nobody's watching.
  21. I'd heard the one about the speed check over Arizona before. Pretty funny, especially as most of the F-16 and F-18 pilots around were c*cky gits.
  22. First game of the season for me, driving down from Lincolnshire. If any Saints players are reading this, please don't be sh*t tomorrow.
  23. I knew there was something else we agreed on Chez! Mind you, this thread seems to have generated universal agreement between all souls who post on SWF. Perhaps it shoul be moved to golden posts. Feel sorry for any Charlton fans reading this and can't find one single possitive about Darren Powell.
  24. But it wouldn't be for the sake of keeping Skacel. If we were still that badly over our wage bill, we wouldn't have brought in players like Pulis, Gasmi, Smith, Forecast, Robertson and Pekhart. None of which are regulars in the side at the moment.
  25. Perhaps those running the club haven't quite reached the top of the insanity tree yet and have realised that to stand any chance of surviving in this league, we will need a couple of players who have finished puberty. I believe Wotton, Killer and Perry are the only other outfield players over the age of 23, and none of them are first team regulars at the moment.
