  1. Sunderland 2-1 Newcastle That's half my loling for the weekend. Let's all get behind Bolton tomorrow.
  2. I'm not in the UK, so can someone text "The Saints are coming" to 81199
  3. First rule when correcting someone else's grammar...
  4. Yep. Double whammy that, seeing John leave and then hearing that BWP's place in the team is pretty much guaranteed for at least a month. :smt011
  5. I also just kind of shrugged when I heard John had gone. Partly because Lowe isn't letting him play anyway, so it makes f*ck all difference really. Partly because I am so used to the disappointment that comes with all out bet players leaving. I expect crowds will drop further. If lallana, Surman or Skacel leaves in the near future, I reckon we could well see gates drop below the 10,000 mark. There's a depressing thought...
  6. Reaction on here please. I don't think we are very good.
  7. On here please.
  8. Chat on here please. Saints line up with: - - - - - - - Davis James - Perry - Cork - Skacel - - - - Morgan - Gillett - - BWP - Lallana - Surman - - - - - - - DMG
  9. Pre-match thoughts on here please. Squad news Ins: Lallana has travelled as have Euell and Schneiderlin, who played for the reserves in midweek. Outs: John and Bart obviously. Thomas and Holmes still injured, Killer will be at least another week. Lancashire suspended. Gasmi apparently not ready yet. Smith not in squad either. I'd go for - - - - - - Davis Cork - Perry - Wotton - Mills Gillett - MS - Surman - Skacel - - - Lallana - - - - - - - Robertson
  10. Kids, don't make me com back there. If I have to pull over...
  11. Personally I'd have Mills at LB, Skacel at LW, Surman and MS in the middle and Gillett on the right.
  12. I think JP is doing a decent enough job given the resources available to him. AT least we aren't adrift at the bottom of the league, like Colchester last season. Having said that I am sure we'd have been MUCH better off keeping Pearson.
  13. Davis Cork - Perry - Wotton - Mills Gillett - MS - Surman - Skacel Pekhart - Robertson
  14. The official attendance today, 29,351 Please give a very warm welcome to... Harry Redknapp Today we welcome Man Utd to St Mary's for this afternoons League game.

    Stern gone!

Made even more sickening by the OS follow-up article about BWP being ready to step into his shoes...
  16. Na na na na na na na na na Gzregorz Rasiak, Rasiak Gzregorz Rasiak Funny watching a group grown men singing along to such a naff tune, however there has only been one song in recent times which really made my hair stand on end... Marian Pahars Marian Ooooooooooooh Marian
  17. ... Nope, me neither.
  18. A loan would be great for Bart, however I get the impression from many comments on here recently, that some people have written him off already.
  19. If John leaving means we can afford to bring Saga back at some point, I'd drive him to Bristol myself. If however it is just another cost cutting exercise, then Lowe really needs to be taken out and shot. John's appearance alone may not be enough to bring another 5,000 through the gates, but if we can't find the net and keep getting beatten something - nil, gates could well drop below 10,000. I think some people are way to trigger happy when it comes to Bart. He has shown previously to be an excellent 'keeper. If someone can screw his head on straight and get his confidence back, he could yet have a big future. He wont reach his prime for probably at least a decade. We might aswell say players like James and Mills are sh*t and should be offloaded pronto.
  20. Or you could go Lucy Pinder style: -(oYo)- | /\ Reminds me of a midweek game against Wednesday. Freezing night in the middle of November or something. John Bull and Tango Man dancing topless near the corner flag in the Itchen North, with Saints singing, "He's got bigger tits that you!" That will stay with me to the grave... Also think it will be a while before we hear, "McGoldrick for England"
  21. Think Skacel in front of Mills could work. When playing in front of Bale in the playoff season, he was always pretty good at covering when Bale went forward on the overlap. I can't remember us conceding any goals from down the left when those two played together (I am sure there are a couple, but I can't recall any shockers). Having an experienced and generally reliable midfielder covering might give Mills a bit more confidence than say DMG, sulking around on the halfway line when the opposition attack. Oh to have Skacel in front of Vignal on the left. I would pay the entrance fee for that alone. They have both provided great entertainment at times in recent years.
  22. Spuds are adopting the Star of David as their new club logo. Nothing to do with their strong Jewish following, it's just because they will only get six points all season.
  23. As far as I can tell, this group has absolutely no link with Saints what-so-ever. I think we can do without take-over HCDAJFU.
  24. Barnsley, Doncaster and Norwich are hardly world class. I know we could have a 10 page thread on the quality of the CCC compared to the SPL, but I think if HCDAJFHOMFC, HCDAJFU. Besides, he only played regularly in midfield in the first half of the playoff season and managed 4 goals by Christmas. That is as many as any other midfielder has got in a season since MLT retired. Two of those goals came against Brum and away to Burnley, which are hardly easy fixtures. Scored against Celtic and Hibs a few times too IIRC. Hardly Sunday League teams. Anyway, however low anyone's oppinion on Skacel, you have to agree he is better than David McGoalkick.
  25. I wonder if that photo was taken from above, or they just glued a load of naked women to the wall. I've been considering the latter in my apaprtment, but can't seem to find the women in B and Q.
