Woah! Everyone's upset, but let's not say things we don't mean. JP may have overlooked the defence somewhat, but he isn't quite in Burley's league yet. Burley had a relatively massive budget compared to Jan, yet still decided going into the new season with 4 fit defenders (Vignal, Ostlund, Makin and Bennett) was a good idea. Jan, though possibly ignorant of our frailties, hasn't been anywhere near that stupid.

Come on lads. We're half way to stealing Middlesborough's glory!!

Off those 4 midfielders, Cork is the only one who CAN'T play at LM. I think they will line up more like, R2L: Lallana - Cork - Surman - Smith, if that is indeed the line-up. RE: BWP. Good!

http://www.watfordfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10400~37597,00.html Apparently Watford had 10 shots on target and 3 off, whilst we had 3 shots on target and 4 off. Given that 2 of those 3 on target were goals, it sounds to me like Saints own in house, "Tesco Value" brand of playing well, whereby we string it around a bit in midfield, but don't create any real chances and frequently leave ourselves badly exposed at the back. That's pretty much how I remember the game TBH.

If you say so.

:smt015 Lying to suit my agenda? The agenda that we were soundly beaten by Watford on the last 5 occasions? That's a strange agenda to have and I'm not sure how I would gain any personal proffit from it. Perhaps you could explain. I don't care if Watford only scored the winner in injury time, the fact is they won and they were much better than us on the day. Davis made a string of saves which, unless both the BBC and myself were imagining it, did actually exist.

To me Schumacher's success, however nausiating, did make it extra sweet when he was beaten, crashed or whatever. Who remembers: Getting it all wrong trying to knock Villeneurve off the track at Jerez '97 His burst tyre at Suzuka '98 to hand Hakkinen the title. Hakkinen passing him for the lead at Spa 2000 Coulthard passing him from the lead at Brazil '01 in a very similar move. Montoya slamming into the back of him in Monaco '04, behind the safety car Shumi smashing into the back of DC at Spa '98, then losing it in the Macca pit garage and Damon Hill winning. His engine failure at Suzuka '06 to all but hand Alonso the title (think Ponty might)

TBF, the OP wasn't asking which animal you'd like cuddled up at the end of your duvet. You've gotta respect the GWS as a superb killing machine. A predator which has been evolving since the dinosaurs were around. It can smell one drop blood in an olympic swimming pool and grows a new set of teeth every 2 months, or something like that.

If you are expecting a reply from him, you will be disappointed. Bungle doesn't do sensible debating, he just makes petulant remarks about other people's perfectly reasonable opinions, then b*gger's off and is never seen on the same thread again. Here's the match report from the 3-2 game. Seems pretty much how I remembered it at the time. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_1/6985051.stm It wasn't me who infracted that post by the way.

Thanks, glad you cleared that up.

I believe they do, it's something to do with preventing the cars running too low and bottoming out, which is what caused the crash that killed Senna. AFAIK they have yet to discover a more effective way of doing this than measuring the wear on a bit of wood. Sure Ponty can confirm this for us. Well, I would have been 5 years old then, so no in all honnesty I don't remember. The first race I can remember watching in full was the 1997 German Grand Prix, which was won by Gehard Berger. I have been a big fan of David Coulthard since he won the Italian Grand Prix a month later. I have seen enough on youtube to know Senna was a driving God, but never saw him drive live on TV. Probably better this way, I don't know what I'm missing out on. It's a shame McLaren didn't sign Button to replace Alonso. Reckon he'd have done at least as good a job as Heikki has this season. Bike racing I've just never got into. I've tried watching races numerous times on TV, but it just doesn't turn me on, no matter how close the racing is.

I don't think a lack of overtaking is necessarily going to put people off. There have been lots of very interesting races, most recently Singapore, in which there was very little overtaking. No matter how biased the FIA appear towards Ferrari, there are enough Ferrari fans alone to keep F1 in the public eye. When I went to Spa a couple of months ago, litterally half the fans and merchandise stalls were Ferrari mad.
-
I believe that hasn't been updated since last summer. RE: Pulis, I think by finalising the move, they probably mean he has signed a contract with us, but was still living in Stoke and being treated by their medical staff. Just a guess, but I am fairly sure he would have to have signed the deal before the transfer window closed.

So it's not just me who thinks McCain isn't dealing with a full deck. The thought of him and Sarah "I lived next to Russia, so I know all about them and I'm not scared of starting World War III" Palin having control of the most powerful nation on Earth sends shivers down my spine.

He was killed by a sting-ray, not Sting.

Hook, line and sinker. I too shall be rooting for Kubica and a Mass/Hamilton DNF, but only if both of them DNF. The most important thing is that Ferrari don't win the WDC.

Monaco isn't about the racing, it's about going to a Casino with Girls Aloud after the race. Of course that doesn't mean a thing to anyone sat at home, but I'm sure Max, Bernie, Flavio et. al. just can't resist the chance to rub shoulders with the rich and famous in Europe's most exclusive city. Regarding fans not turning up you are, rightly or wrongly, wrong, if that makes sense. Even in 2004 when Michael winning was about as likely as the sun rising, hundreds of thousands of people paid Thousands of pounds to come to a Grand Prix weekend. Even with all the bullsh*t politics going on and a lack of overtaking, people aren't going to stop going to F1 races. It's not like football, to some it's almost like a holiday. There are probably as many petrol-heads as football fans in the world and an F1 race is the world cup final every fortnight. Something needs to be done which will limit the budget enough for small independant teams to be competitive, but wont put off the big names. Things like free tyres. I am not sure if they are free to teams at the moment, but surely the publicity gained from supplying the whole paddock with rubber (except Max's office) more than compensates for the cost of 520 (28 tyres x 20 cars?) tyres every other weekend. I don't know who pays for what, it's just an idea. Another good one would be standardised parts, such as gearboxs and suspensions. Big names would still be able to show off who has the best aero package or most powerful engine, but the small teams wouldn't be bankrupt trying to shave a few grams off their wing mirrors every season.

Apparently it is being throw out because God doesn't have an address to send the legal documents to. Okay 3 points... 1. Does this exonerate homeless people from any crimes? 2. Surely if God is everywhere, they could just post the papers anywhere? 3. Some Americans really are retarded. More-so than in most other countries.

The Green Mamba. Lighning quick, highly venemous, but at the same time pretty relaxed. Has a kick as paint scheme aswell. Another nomination from our legless friends: The King Snake. Some variants look so venemous they would kill you if it sneezed, but they are completely harmless. They are completely immune to other snakes venom and have a tendancy to eat rattlers. I'm getting one after I kill my landlord.

Forget all hose foreign mercenaries like Pahars, Monkou, Niemi, Lundekvam, Ekelund and Killer. Give me a team of Jermaine Wrights and Chris Makins any day of the week. I don't care what nationality the team is, what matters to me is that they play for the shirt, they play well and they win. Nationality has nothing to do with that. Obviously I don't want a team made completely of foreigners, but there is some middle ground between that and having 11 teenagers born and raised in the same caravan in Hedge End.

Is it possible you can download a couple of albums by The Offspring before Saturday? Might help our chances.
-
That awful hoofball that got them into the playoffs twice in the last three years? Maybe I am just hard to please, but the stuff we played last season was just as bad and we've scarcely improved this season. The only difference between us and them is we shipped a lot more goals last year.

I like some of the new Circuits, like Shanghai and Kuala Lumpor, but I still think we need to retain some of the older ones. It's sad that Spa and Silverstone have both been threatened, when in reality they usually throw up some of the most exciting races of the season. Same with the Japanese Grand Prix being rotated between Fuji and Suzuka to keep Honda and Toyota happy, when Suzuka was already a brilliant race track. Canada I can understand, in that it's miles away from any other track now Indiana has gone, and I'm not so sure Canadians are huge F1 fans. I'd rather we kept Brazil from a racing perspective. Personally I think the Valencia GP can f*ck off. Street races are generally boring without rain. We have Monaco and Singapore, and Barcelona GP already in spain. I think the whole concept of a European GP is pointless anyway. How long before we get a Russian GP do you think?
