  1. Nothing to do with the skin colour, but McQ always reminded me of a Pepperami. Something to do with the bald head and facial expression.
  2. Those who didn't go missed the funniest own goal I have ever seen.
  3. I've been emailing the wife of a Nigerian diplomat. Apparently if I invest £5,000 in one of her husbands companies, I could be a millionaire withing 4 years. You might want to consider this.
  4. New Force India. Bit like the old one, but with a redesigned nose by the looks of it. The new RB6 is due out tomorrow.
  5. What are you guys on? We need to rest players from the League FFS!
  6. I've know for the last few weeks, but f**kin' 'ell it's just hit home this evening. A draw tomorrow and we're off to Wembley. If anyone is free tomorrow and not going you should be shot.
  7. ......... Did I win?
  8. I would always keep one of them on the bench, incase we need some fresh pace. I'd hate to be Lewington in that scenario. Having Waigo drag your sorry ass up and down the left flank for an hour, then have a fit and fresh Antonio come on and tare you a new anus. No matter how good they are, we need at least one on the bench. Excellent impact subs. I'd start with Waigo, given his odd surges in form in this competition.
  9. I disagree, it was excellent. Good form old chap!
  10. Seems a bit weird. Whenever I go to Asda (Don't hate me, it's by far the nearest) there are placards saying "Don't be offended if you look under 25 and get asked for I.D.". Never had a problem buying alcohol there and I'm 21.
  11. Having demolished the Gaza strip, apparently Israel and Palestine are on their way to Southampton to have it out this weekend. I was driving through town the other day and it seems they have already made a promising start in Shirley.
  12. :-s Doubt it. You'd have to t**t them over the head with a spade a couple of times first.
  13. :smt060 Ah well, I'm not the one who thinks the word 'gay' is funny. This is a funny name: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/spieler/75209/igor-****ov/profil.html As is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ufuk_Uras I said long shot, I haven't ruled anything out.
  14. Any relation to http://www.sporting-heroes.net/football-heroes/displayhero_eurochamps.asp?HeroID=46940 Bit of a long shot, given your guy is black, but still.
  15. Bart Thomas - Fonte - Jaidi - Harding Antonio - Morgan - James - Holmes Lallana - Lambert
  16. I agree. Scratching my arse now is more important than dreaming about what might happen on Tuesday.
  17. I'm undecided. Never had an ST before as up until October I'd been living everywhere from Ayr to Phoenix, AZ. Now I'm in Bristol I can get to Southampton easily enough, but I'm working roughly every other Saturday. Call that 12 home games at £25 a ticket, that's £300. Roughly the cost of an ST. With the added benefits of first dibs on cup tickets and away games, it might be worth it.
  18. Look at the team we had lined up in summer before the take over. Wotton, Bart, Perry, Thomas, Saga, Holmes, Davis, Lallana, James, Morgan, Molyneux, Forecast. That's about it really. I guess you could throw players like Paterson and Gobern in there, but they were hardly first teamers. That lot would probably have taken us down to League 2 without some decent investment, especially given how Lallana, Morgan, Saga and Davis at least would have left. Personally this season was always a write off as far as the League was concerned. A playoff spot would have been a welcome but enormous surprise. A cup campaign though was always on the cards and winning the JPT would be a massive bonus.
  19. What happened thereafter wasn't as a result of reaching the final previously. My point is that that run gave the club a boost, which helped us into the top four of the Premiership by Christmas. If we have a good enough squad, there is no reasons we can't challenge for 1st place next season. A trophy win would also give us the confidence and feel good factor, on top of that ability.
  20. Marian Pahars Marian Oooooooooooooooooooooohhhh Marian
  21. Or what about the Cup final in '03? The feel good factor from that, IMO, is what propelled us to a Champions League spot the following Christmas. I tihnk winning the JPT would be far more of a boost to the players and fans than moving up to 8th or 9th place in the League.

Funny you should say that... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFz-ViYM-ow From about 3:55 in.
  23. A few months ago we had a poll to see which competition was most important to people this season: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=18300 At the time the League looked a little more likely and there was 75% support for it as top priority. Now that we have apparently slipped back in the League and how far we have come in the two cup competitions, which one are you most concerned about. For me it's still the JPT. The chance of silverware for the first time in decades is just too important, no matter how trivial the competition is long term. Edit: By priority, I mean which games should we rest players for, which games would you go to if you could only afford one etc. Not a straight choice between winning the League, winning the FA Cup or winning the JPT.
  24. Sh*t, they might have a chance of winning now.
  25. The point is, our squad isn't going to leave en mass to play in a higher League. Lallana maybe, but the other three all signed for us in League 1 knowing we had the 10 point deduction this season. Can't see why they'd jump ship now.
