Media representation of protests and the overall vibe and atmosphere of a protest are always going to be different. The media are interested for entertainment purposes, they will try and deliver whatever is most thrilling and interesting for their viewers - which may not necessarily be an accurate representation of events that transpire. I'm not tarring all protesters with the same brush, believe me. The power of protest is a great one and it's a privilege that we in this country often take for granted. Protests attract a wide variety of people across the political spectrum depending on the issue. People will be drawn into action or inaction depending on the issue at hand, which means that the demography of a certain protest will always be different to another one. There are elements at any protest who are 'hardcore' and will attend many protests spanning across a wide range of issues because that's what they like to do. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but from those who I have observed I have found them to be slightly odd.

I don't assume that everyone that turns up at a protest such as the one this morning is a nutjob, but it does generally seem to be the case in this country. Radical action against the government often attracts the most radical of people. I've been on protests before, and I know many people who have been on protests also. Often the hardcore element of government protesters are slightly...unhinged. It's not a slight against these people, because they're raising awareness of a plan which has been slammed by those who actually know about the medical profession and what it requires (unlike our Minister of Health) and they're doing a good job. My point is that those who are attracted to radical action (radical being going out and physically doing something unlike most people who silently disagree with the plans but ultimately accept them through inaction) are often of a radical nature themselves.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17093082 Andrew Lansley was heckled this morning by protesters when he was on his way to a meeting with David Cameron about the NHS. While it was the usual bunch of nutjobs there, one particular protestor had a huge rant at Lansley in a Python-esque shrill timbre, it's absolutely brilliant viewing and the best laugh i've had in ages! Watch the video in the link above.

Almost certain they'll be linked with the Donny game.

I liked our little segment last night, thought it was great. Brilliant to see the nice atmosphere at the club, everyone seems really positive and upbeat. Lol'd at Punch trying to get on camera 7 or 8 times... haha! Agree about the Bompey leg break as well, made me wince when I watched it. Never nice to see anyone get seriously injured like that. That Daniel Powell from MK Dons looks handy as well, good movement and finishing. If we didn't already have the plethora of strikers at the club that we do I would say we should get him on the bus...

Too true. I was disappointed at our support on that day, but there's still the opportunity to pack out SMS with noise and fans in April.
-
I've used it a few times - very good. Saves having to keep a load of takeaway menus lying around.

I'm not a huge fan of 'nawty boys' at away games going out and stirring things up, but I think our away support could be a lot more vociferous than it is. The Millwall cup game was a good example, there were only pockets of 10-20 fans singing dotted around, there wasn't a whole section like at home games where everyone was singing. I appreciate some people go to games to watch, but it's embarrassing at times when we can't really get a song started. The numbers are fine, it's just the noise that needs to be increased.

And that's it. Full time. Brighton humiliated and a decent team through to the next round of the FA Cup. Quality.
-
Streaker on the pitch! What a brilliant game this has been!
-
6-1! Suarez makes up for his penalty miss with a header from close-range after a knock-down. Brighton have been absolutely awful in the second half.
-
Kuyt wins a penalty and.... Suarez promptly misses it. Hits it straight at Brezovan (who has been awful)! Couldn't poke away the rebound either.
-
Kuyt, Shelvey and Kelly coming on for Liverpool. Kuyt to score another imo...
-
And there you go, another own goal makes it 5-1 to Liverpool! Knew I should've put some f*cking money on that at HT... Wonder what excuse Gus will trot out post-match?
-
Some really, really, REALLY sh!te defending by Brighton leads to Gerrard making it 4-1 with a tap-in. All of a sudden those Liverpool to win 5-1 odds that flashed up at half time don't seem so ridiculous...
-
Andy Carroll makes it 3-1, glad that he got one because he's been unlucky today with being fouled all day from set-pieces.
-
Craig Noone coming on for Brighton, replacing Buckley. ESPN commentators note that Noone did the roofing on Steven Gerrard's extension!
-
Good game so far, Brighton being their dirty cheating selves as usual. 2-1 at HT. El-Abd all over Carroll when a corner or cross comes in, should've been booked - ref hasn't even had a word with him. Calderon with a horrible challenge on Downing just outside the area just before Liverpool scored, again went unpunished. Obviously Brighton are trying to shut down Liverpool, but they can't cope and they're committing stupid fouls which just aren't being noticed by the ref, he needs to get a grip and show some yellow cards before somebody (El-Abd) gets carried away and hurts someone.

I think Coventry, Doncaster and the Skates will go down. I want the Skates to stay in business, but I think League One is a fresh start for any relegated team. If we'd stayed in the Championship after our administration I don't think we would've had such a quick ascent to where we are now. I want to see them straighten themselves out in League One and eventually make their way back up to the Championship with a solid foundation. Despite the hatred that I hold for the club, I want to see them be competitive. Maybe even with a fans takeover...
-
Jos, you are a f*cking legend! 1-0
-
Listening to the first half before going out to work at 4 - hope we score before then because I don't want to miss the action!

Tbh while I don't read The Sun and have no interest in most of the celebrity sh!te they fill the pages with, people buy it for a reason. I'd much rather people read The Sun than nothing - at least it's relatively informative. I'll pick up the 'I' a few times a week, but tbh I get most of my news from the BBC website etc.

Good old internet.
