  1. I'll pass that on to the person in charge of playlisting at the station, i'm sure he'd be happy to get some feedback. I agree that some songs seem to be played slightly more than others, but it's difficult to rotate the music evenly when there's only 2-3 hours of actual 'radio show' in a day - Bam Bam is the only DJ on the station. The playlist isn't infinite but there's new music being added to the playlist all the time so hopefully that should sort out the problem of songs being repeated!
  2. Great read, thanks for that. Tbh I don't mind that Cortese picks up that huge wage packet, he does a lot of hard work and we're in a position where we can afford to pay that kind of wage to a director - unlike our fishy friends down the road...
  3. I'm also a 6Music fan, they play a good variety of stuff compared to most other stations and I like a lot of the presenters on there (Lauren Laverne, Jarvis Cocker, Peter Serafinowicz etc). Locally i'll stick on Jack FM - the MD of the station told me today that if listernership keeps going up as it has done over the last 3 months then Jack will be the faster growing radio station ever. Decent music and no awful DJs like most local stations seem to have.
  4. What do you listen to? We've usually got Capital on in the team room at work, but i'm not a huge fan really - the music is awful. Just got a job working in promotions for Jack FM and The Breeze - anyone listen to those stations?
  5. A good team in terms of clubs where Ben could've gone on loan. Championship he would be struggling to make the bench, League One he would be a bit-part player at best, but in League Two he can hopefully get 5 or 6 games under his belt in the month that he's there at Daggers. If he impresses on this loan spell, he'll go out for a few months to a good League One team (Brentford etc) next season and then if he impresses there he could get a loan spell at a lower Championship club for the remainder of that year. He's got good potential, his game has definitely improved year-on-year and it's good to see him playing well and getting this move to earn him some more experience. Now, for those of you who were at the Millwall replay - "Number 1 is Ben Reeves, Number 2 is Ben Reeves..."
  6. I thought they were mid-table in L2! Shows what I know.
  7. Daggers are a good team, will be good experience for him. Been very impressed with him whenever i've seen him play.
  8. F*cking hell, how have Blackpool not capitalised on WHU not actually having a proper keeper on the pitch? Mental.
  9. Not even that, they'll just shoot them in the backs of their heads in the street like the dogs they are.
  10. Very few 'artists' on that list of nominees whose music will stand the test of time. All flash in the pan manufactured sh!te.
  11. Unfortunately it was even more disturbing than that.
  12. It's cheaper than a weekend ticket to a festival, minimal travel expenses, can crash at my mates house in East London and 3 of my favourite bands are playing on the same bill. Sounds perfect to me. Will hopefully end up getting festival tickets somewhere else through work though...
  13. I used to dream about Saints the whole time. Last night I had a weird dream about pickled eggs.
  14. Looks cracking - might be my 'festival' this summer with no Glasto.
  15. He loves Reading, has been employed there in some capacity for almost 20 years I think... Not sure he'd be too quick to leave the club when he could potentially have a nice bit of money to invest next season for a promotion push.
  16. I remember being on Kinshaldy as a kid, it was September and f*cking freezing but we decided to have a "day out" at the beach. Resulted in me freezing my arse off in the sea and getting sh!t on by a seagull.
  17. I thought he retired ages ago! Wasn't he at Bournemouth recently? Still involved with our youth coaching set-up as far as I know too.
  18. This. While I myself am not a religious person (raised Roman Catholic, now agnostic-leaning-towards-atheist) most of our culture is undeniably based around christianity. We are experiencing a cultural shift though, with more people getting married in registry offices etc. and also with more people of different faiths now present in the population. I appreciate the morals that christianity teaches, but just not all the "miracles and our lord above" baggage that comes with it. I'm sure when the results for this census are published it will show a steep drop in religious values held by those under the age of 30 in this country. I barely know anyone my age who would describe themselves as religious (aside from a few devoutly catholic friends, a few muslim friends and a few jewish friends).
  19. That's not so bad, Tayport's a nice area. Dundee is just one big concrete slab - although not quite as bad as Aberdeen. My Gran lives just outside Bridge of Earn.
  20. Don't really care about the Boro result, can't see them challenging us anymore. Blackpool to beat West Ham please, and Brum to draw against Barnsley.
  21. You don't live in Dundee do you?
  22. Highfield is a nice area. Not heard gunshots here yet....
  23. My gran lives about 4 miles away from Perth, Scotland. I love going up there, it's beautiful. Spent almost every Christmas and Easter up there as a kid - only spent 3 christmases away from there in my lifetime. I shall live in Perthshire after I retire.
  24. I think we'll get rid of a few players at the end of the season (Forecast, Jaidi, Seaborne, Holmes, Forte, Connolly, Barnard) which would leave us with a squad of first-team players numbering around 21. We can register 25 players for our squad, obviously discounting those players who are under the age of 21 (Reeves, Ward-Prowse, Stephens, Shaw etc), so I reckon 4 quality signings would do the trick. Kelvin Davis has been outstanding for us, but I think it would be worth getting a younger keeper in (Smithies? Lewis? Butland?) to provide cover. Harsh on Bialkowski, but he'll be a great second choice after Kelvin retires.
  25. ------------------DAVIS------------------ FRAZER-----FONTE-----HOOIVELD-----FOX CHAPLOW----CORK-----MORGAN---LALLANA ----------LAMBERT-----SHARP------------ Subs: Martin, Hammond, Puncheon, De Ridder, Lee I would rest Guly for this so he can recuperate properly from his illness and Steve needs a game anyway so he can try and win back his place in the side. Sharp to start as well because he needs that goal to get his confidence up and get him firing - dropping him to the bench ain't going to help. If he's not on it by 60 minutes we can put Lee on, because at that point Watford's defence will be tired and Lee will be able to exploit that.
