She provoked a lot of criticism after writing an article about Gary Speed too. She's either too dim to realise what she's saying and how she's hurting people, or she's just doing it to illicit a reaction.

I want to go and see him when he plays in Basingstoke but i'm not sure if I can afford it at the moment.. Big fan of his though.

I read the article and found it pretty nasty tbh, but it's the backlash from her which makes this whole situation more pathetic. After saying that Nicklinson should wish for an infection so he can die, she got offended after Stanhope called her a "c*nt" on Twitter. That's fair enough I guess (read the Chortle article at the top of the page for an overview of the Twitter exchange). Pearson has responded by labelling Stanhope a "vile misogynist" and saying that his comments were "vile incitement to hatred against women". She has also said that he told her he wished she got cancer (when in actual fact he said he wished she got a "fetid ovarian cyst" - not easily defensible but not on the same level as wishing somebody had cancer). Fair enough, Doug may not have handled the situation very timidly, but that's not the person he is. Watch some clips of him on YouTube and you'll see that he is very brash, opinionated and just doesn't care about what people think about him. Pearson could have just picked him up on his language or maybe even ignored him, but the fact that she retreated to the deplorable "misogyny" excuse just eliminates any sympathy I would've had for her. His comments were not misogynistic, although they could be viewed as a bit harsh. I'd be interested to see what people thought of this situation: Doug had good reasons to attack her on this, but did he go too far?

I'm still gutted that there's no Glastonbury this year. Haven't bought any festival tickets for this summer so far...

I think if 'Arry will have a hand in choosing his successor he might go for Chris Hughton - he coached at Spurs for a long time, got Newcastle promoted easily from this league (and did well in the Prem too by all accounts) and is doing a decent job with no money at Brum. Could be a good bet for them.

Oh dear, I voted for Wotton Tbf this just shows how much Morgan has improved, aside from Cork and Lallana he's easily our best midfield player now.

It cleans up the whole "what did Jenner whisper to Rick at the CDC?" thing as well. Supposedly the reveal that "we're all infected" will be in the final episode of this series, along with lots of other cool stuff...can't wait!

It's either going to have to be "To The End" by Blur or "Time Has Told Me" by Nick Drake. My uncle has told me that he definitely wants Going Underground at his funeral. Will be interesting to see how that goes down...

6 episodes, penultimate one just aired on Sunday (in the US) - last one of this series is on Sunday (in the US). Not sure when they're on TV here because I watch them online. Go through the sometimes-tedium of episodes 7-9, because after that it gets very tasty indeed.

The same thing happened with another character earlier on in the same episode - the theory amongst fans is that everyone is a carrier of the dormant infection, but it only 'turns' you when you're bitten/scratched by a walker or you die and your bodily functions stop happening naturally.

Second series just about to come to a close, penultimate episode was aired in the US last night. Have to say, after a few drab episodes in this series it's really kicking off now! 3 major character deaths in the last 2 episodes with more to come (i'm ITK) in the final episode. Cannot wait!

Apparently he's lost over a stone in weight since he's been at the club. He'll be lean and mean for the run-in, but he must have been frustrated to see DC get a run-out before he did.
