------------------DAVIS------------------ FRAZER-----FONTE-----HOOIVELD-----FOX STEVE----MORGAN-----CORK------LALLANA ----------LAMBERT-----SHARP------------- Subs: Martin, Hammond, Chaplow, Guly, Lee Keep Sharp in the first XI after his great performance on Saturday and give Lee a run-out late on. Start SDR at RM, they have no pace at the back and he will tear Crainey apart.

Kelvin has earned the No.1 shirt next season. The season after that? Well, that remains to be seen. He has spoken of his desire to go into coaching though, so I think he'll probably have 1 more season as a full-time player then sign a Player/Coach contract as we bring in a younger keeper.

However, I do have SaintsPlayer and presumably the interview will be going up on there as well. D'oh.

Tbh I prefer nuclear energy as well. Much better as a short-term solution over the next 50-75 years than renewable technology which hasn't really been developed to make it as efficient as it can be yet.

Can't wait to hear the interview, will it be on Solent as well as South Today? I don't have a telly you see.

Hmm, nice groove and love the bassline, but not a fan of the singer. No soul... Still, i'll check out some more of their stuff!

Agree with whoever said Giles Barnes was their best player above, Simon Gillett really impressed me too. He's certainly matured as a player since he was with us.

That's renewable energy pushed back by 40 years then...

Saints 2 V 0 Doncaster Post Match Chat!!
SuperMikey replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
I thought he got booked for a tackle, but I don't really remember tbh. -
They host their own tournament at the Emirates, unlikely they'll want to take part in 2 tournaments in 1 summer. More likely our friendly vs them will just be an ordinary friendly. Napoli and a Spanish team I think. Perhaps Bilbao again.

I think West Ham are finished for automatic now, their form isn't anywhere good enough (especially at home) and they keep getting too many suspensions + injuries to keep a balanced squad. Reading are without Jason Roberts for a few weeks though, and he's really been a talisman for them. I think the most likely result is a draw, and it's the one I favour.

Saints 2 V 0 Doncaster Post Match Chat!!

It was really getting to him towards the end though! Diving mouthy pr!ck - how the ref didn't book him for dissent is ridiculous. He was in the ref's face every 2 minutes screaming at him. -
I don't think people that leave early are "plastics", but it doesn't look good to see home fans leaving the ground early when we're winning. Fair enough, you might have a valid reason, but I would much prefer to sit in 15 minutes of extra traffic and applaud my team off the pitch than leave early to get home sooner. Just my opinion really.

This. Jos makes it his duty to do a lap of the pitch after the final whistle and applaud the fans, the least you can do is stay and applaud your team off imo.

Sharp by a country mile, but Fox was also excellent.

You heard the Donny fans!? Jesus christ
-
Butterfield left him stranded, he didn't want to get up past the touchline so it made SDR's play very one-dimensional. I have to say that I don't really think he plays best up front though, he's better running at his marker from the wing. Thought he was decent today, I rate him and hope we keep hold of him and he's not moved on in the summer.

Saints 2 V 0 Doncaster Post Match Chat!!

We didn't play very well, but we probably deserved to win based on the last 15 minutes alone. Knocked it about very well and cut Donny apart at the back. However I think they played excellently up until we scored, then they faded. Thought they probably deserved to get a goal before half time tbh, but they lacked incisiveness up front. Piquionne was a waste of space and Diouf is a c*nt. Their #11 should've been booked for climbing all over Rickie, but it's no less than every other centre back has done this season when marking him. A few notes - Butterfield shouldn't start for us again this season. I like him, and he's a good influence on the players and a calm head, but his passing was awful today and he didn't want to venture further than the touchline, leaving SDR stranded at times and having to chase long balls up the touchline. Rickie wasn't really in the game much today, and a few of his passes went astray which wasn't like him - perhaps he was carrying a slight knock (hence the sub)? Was great to see Lee Barnard back on the pitch as well, although we seemed reluctant to pass to him even though he found a lot of space and made some good runs. Good 3 points and onto the next game! -
I don't mean to brag, but I started that chant. Praise me. It does pain me when I see our fans pouring out of the ground with 10-15 minutes left to play. Even worse when people are leaving on 27 f*cking minutes to go to the concourse.

Jos and Jose best centre back pairing in Championship?
SuperMikey replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
Read the article earlier - both are very good players but I don't think they're the best in the Championship. In terms of performance, they've both been outstanding at most times this season, but there are better players in this league (Curtis Davies, James Tomkins, Winston Reid). I think they'll be a solid partnership next season should we go up, no need to replace either of them. Maybe bring in a younger CB to replace Jaidi/Seaborne - Shane Duffy from Everton? -

With all due respect Jill, you could never possibly understand.

My bills probably come to about £50 a month (I don't pay council tax as i'm still a student), rent is £300pcm and then around £20 p/w for food and about £15 for fags. Saints is probably my biggest expenditure, £20 for a ticket then around £30 for the bus, lunch and the pub(s) means I usually fork out around £50+ for a home game. If it's a midweek game then i'll probably only spend around £35 as we'll start drinking later. So saying we have 3 home games on average in a month, it'll put my total expenditure for the month at around £535 - I usually earn slightly more than that from my jobs. Been very skint recently though, so food has gone down to around £7 a week and i've been working more hours - should be in a better financial state this time next week after pay day!
