  1. Dave Jones is a great appointment for them imo. Will have them pushing for play-offs in the Championship by this time next year with proper investment.
  2. Just keep trying, you'll get there soon enough. Maybe in another 8000 posts time on a board you don't care about you might have another chum like Hypo to back you up in arguments.
  3. Holepuncture, I nearly vomited into my glass of water when I saw that picture. Please refrain from posting any images of that c*nt ever again. Many thanks, SuperMikey esq.

Alright mate, how's it going? Everything good with the move?
  5. Jonnyboy is the best poster on here in terms of taking the p!ss appropriately and effectively. Never fails to make me chuckle when I see one of his witty posts. Does that hurt you inside Turkish? Constantly seeking the approval of strangers on an 'internet mong board' but finding nothing but contempt? It's probably because some people like to have a conversation about current events, football, music, cricket...whatever, but you trying to validate your sad little existence will ruin threads constantly for people. I know it's not important, it's only an internet message board, but some people like it and find it good to come on here and post their thoughts on a topic at the end of a day at work. You seem to be on here 24/7 though with your bizarre grudges against people who dare to speak up against the Mighty Turkish. I hope you enjoyed the attention that post gave you, and i'm sure you'll have a nice witty retort. I look forward to reading it babe
  6. No, that's not what i'm saying. Andy doesn't live in a little village, the place where he lives has a population at least 10x the population of where I grew up. But surely if you grew up in St Marys you would come into contact with other cultures more regularly than somebody who grew up in a hamlet? You can learn directly through the people you mix with. All of my friends growing up were as white and middle-class as I am (unashamedly - that's who I am in the eyes of society), and that was as a result of my environment. Had I lived and gone to school in St Marys I would have almost certainly had more friends from wider ethnic backgrounds as population in that area is more ethnically diverse, therefore I would've come into contact more regularly with those from other cultures and would know more about those cultures through direct contact. Obviously i'm not saying that is indicative of all people that live in culturally diverse areas, but i'm sure somebody will make that point...
  7. Funny how often Turkish refers to 'internet mong boards' but he seems to be the mongiest of all the mongs. King Mong.
  8. Yeah, it looks pretty stupid reading that back... But the point I was trying to make was that living in a city like this gives you a much wider experience of other people and cultures than where I was previously living. People can become cocooned in a certain way of living and it's good to get out there and meet people from around the world instead of sticking to one demographic all your life. People should be less insular.
  9. He's already chair of the PFA - he'd make a great Minister for Sport.
  10. Jo Swinson is the biggest waste of space ever... I don't even know why the Lib Dems put her forward to go on QT! Clarke Carlisle is very good whenever he's on though - would make a good politician I think.
  11. What are you doing watching Question Time you little nerd? Shouldn't you be balls deep in some perma-tanned slag right now? Going to catch QT when I come back from work tomorrow - who's on the panel?
  12. F*cking hell, I hope i'm dead by the time i'm 35 if this is what i've got to look forward to!
  13. Guly tends to go missing in away games, I would rest him and have him fresh for Ipswich tbh. Start Punch on the left and Chaplow on the right, with Steve coming on later in the game.
  14. Joy Division - Closer Kings of Convenience - Riot On An Empty Street Dry The River - Weights & Measures EP I'm in a happy mood this evening...

Only eaten it once in about 5 years, and that was when I was staggering back home from a particularly heavy night and it was the only thing open at 4am (the 24hr one in Burgess Road). Didn't go down well, we'll put it that way.
  16. They could play Kevin Phillips, Robbie Fowler and Brett Ormerod up front....
  17. Blimey. Fair enough! I didn't know that. From memory the article in the Sun mentioned his replacement having a close affiliation with the club. Must've got mixed up in my mind.
  18. I might be in a minority thinking this, but I hope P*mpey get bought by somebody and don't go bust. I want them to be severely punished for their misdemeanours, but I want them to remain competitive in our rivalry and stay in existence in their current form. I think a best-case scenario for me is for them to get bought by somebody, agree a CVA and then get relegated after selling their best players to pay for some of their debt and then be in L1 for 3-4 years while we take the Prem by storm!
  19. Wouldn't say Hammil is sh!t... he had a few good games for Wolves last season for them in the Prem and was great for Barnsley before he went to Wolves. People just seem to remember his awful loan spell here and not everything he's achieved since!
  20. I can't remember who it was, but I read something in the Sun on Sunday that Megson would be fired so Milan could hire somebody else who was more closely affiliated with the club - the name has escaped me though. EDIT: It was Dave Jones. Would be a cracking appointment for them!
  21. Why should there be a dominant culture? Is there even a need to have a cultural identity in a cosmopolitan nation like ours? We eat Indian food, drink Dutch lager, watch Brazilian players in our local team, watch American TV, drive a Korean car... is there anything still present in day-to-day life which is quintessentially British? I currently live in Highfield, moving to Portswood in June. My neighbours include Chinese, Czech, Indian, Ugandan, French, Polish and Russian people. Two of my good mates are Argentinian and Uruguayan. I'm exposed to other cultures on a daily basis, but I don't choose to practice all of them. We all choose our own way in this culture - I could convert to Islam if I wanted and start going to the Mosque tomorrow morning, but I choose not to. I think having a choice in your culture is a great thing, but you can accuse me of naivety for thinking that if you want.
  22. He can argue a point eloquently and concisely. I think he's definitely the front-runner.
  23. AFC Wimbledon were unstoppable in FM2010, but then again the club are set up to be of League 1/2 standard - which is where they were within 5 years on my game (I wasn't managing them).
  24. Post of the year imo.
  25. I was speaking of the club, not just the people on this forum! I'm not sure an XI consisting of forum members would be able to beat Leeds
