It is infuriating at times that we fanny about with the ball on the edge of the area, but our style of play is that we try and work space for us to shoot. It would be nice if we shot a bit more often though, Nige has mentioned it in his last 2 post-match interviews so i'm sure we'll be a bit more offensive with our play around the edge of the area.

Fox's red card was ridiculous, his first yellow was a superb challenge and the second was a case of Burke making a lot of very little contact and going down quite easily - although tbf it was a very slippy surface. Content with a point against the most in-form team in the league, my Brum supporting mate who comes to Saints games with me was devastated that they didn't beat us. Why didn't Rickie shoot at the end..although the visibility was appalling and they had a huge wall so it's understandable that he tried the far post tactic which has worked so many times this season.

Just heard on the radio that a similar operation will be carried out by Hampshire police where the Skates will be bubbled by the Police for the return fixture at SMS in April. They'll get a maximum of 3100 tickets. Probably knew this already, but not heard it on the radio before or seen it on this forum... tbh I haven't looked very hard!

That's the one, you can also 'like' our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/surgeradio) on which you can stream the show through the award winning 'Listen Live' app and also request songs. The good thing about it being on Facebook as well is if you have a smartphone like an iPhone or similar, you can stream it on that when you're on the bus...in your car - anything like that really. Not that you'd want to, mind.

It'll probably be more mainstream, but we've chucked a few proper anthems in there to give a bit of balance to the show. Expect to hear Underworld, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers...maybe even some Herbaliser as well. Cheers mate, Surge is broadcast on FM each year for a few weeks around Student Election time, this year it's going to be for a whole month which is the longest in about 8 or 9 years I think... Phil Jupitus broadcast from the studio before when we were playing on FM, his breakfast show was broadcast simultaneously on whatever station he was on and Surge. Still got the photo hanging in the studio... We may or may not have some stuff on the archive from past FM broadcasts, although i'm not completely sure that we would have kept everything... Ahh, the big 10. Breakfast of champions. I have to say, some shows are awful. But we're all amateurs really, some people have the knack and others don't. It's all just about having a laugh. As I said, the shows with the higher listenerships and quality have been picked for FM so it ought to be generally pretty decent quality stuff going out. The jingles, beds and adverts are terrible though, makes it sound really low-rent - but some more are being recorded over the next week or so, hopefully they'll be better...

Some of you may be aware of Surge Radio - the University of Southampton's student radio station which I present a weekly show on with some of my mates. From Monday morning, the station will be broadcast on 87.7FM for a month which means you can listen to it in your cars, at work, at home... anywhere! Our show has been switched to a Friday evening slot, so i'll be broadcasting from 7-9pm on Fridays - playing music, chatting and getting everyone ready for a big night out on Friday. The best shows from the station have been cherry-picked for longer slots, so the quality is high. It'll be worth tuning in during the day, but especially on Friday from 7-9! Get yer texts and that in. See you there...

He was quality last wednesday, had all the attributes to make a very good striker. If he can add a passing aspect and better movement to his game he'll be a good Prem striker. Good in the air, good finisher, good strength.

Fairly sure he's not OOC in the summer, otherwise Blackburn would've sold him already. If he is though, we should be right in there!

When's the patch out MLG? Hope you've improved Martin in it, he's sh!te on a normal game.

Connolly was dire in the second half, looked decent in the first half though. Would've preferred to see Lee or Guly start though. I'm happy with a point tbh, puts us 2 points clear of Cardiff still and 2 points behind WHAM. Looking forward to Brum on Saturday, it's a real make-or-break game if we want to get automatic.

Cork for me, buzzed around and dominated the midfield. Punch and Lambert were excellent as well.

Didn't see much of the ball tonight, give him time. He needs to settle into the team, our style of play, and most importantly - the country. You can see that his movement is quality anyway, but Cardiff's midfield closed off any channels for us to pass into him.

Agreed. A centre-back and possibly a RB are needed either now or in the summer.

I wouldn't care one bit about whether one of our players was gay or not - does it change how he plays on the pitch? It's a shame that not all gay footballers feel comfortable enough to come out, but unfortunately it seems that a lot of football fans are very narrow minded people who wouldn't accept it. Given the fact that somebody behind me at the Leicester game was saying racist things about Neil Danns, I can only imagine the kind of stick a player would get if he was gay - racist seems to be quite widely condemned across football but there's still a large element of homophobia present as well.

If only we didn't have this stupid 5 sub rule it'd be a lot easier to keep this squad happy...although I can see us letting a few players go tomorrow - Holmes and Barnard probably. Jose Mourinho maintains (and I agree) with a 23-man squad. 3 GKs (Davis, Bialkowski, Forecast) 2 RBs (Richardson, Butterfield) 2 LBs (Fox, Harding) 4 CBs (Fonte, Hooiveld, Martin, Jaidi) 4 CMs (Cork, Morgan, Hammond, Chaplow) 2 RMs (De Ridder, Puncheon) 2 LMs (Lallana, Holmes) 4 STs (Lambert, Sharp, Lee, Guly) Looking very strong there, and with players like Connolly and Barnard on the fringes - who would be regular first-teamers for virtually any other Championship team.

We've definitely got some selection problems now...
