  1. Fonte will be out, Jos is definitely out and Jaidi won't be anywhere near match ready after knee surgery. I think we'll see Cork or Fox at centre back. --------------------BART----------------- FRAZER-----MARTIN-----CORK----HARDING SDR------HAMMOND-----JWP---------FOX -----------LAMBERT-----GULY------------ Subs: Davis, Stephens, Schneiderlin, Holmes, Reeves, Connolly, Lee
  2. My mate and I met Tadanari Lee when he came out of the reception after the game. Shouted after him, he turned around as did the people he was with (looked like his parents) and my mate did the purple archer celebration at him. Tada and all the people he was with burst out into huge grins and gave us the thumbs up! Saw Kelvin and Nige having a bit of an in-depth discussion in the reception as well before Nige went back to the players dressing room.
  3. Really poor performance tonight, but there was no strength in our team at all. Their No.9 Bamford was quality, looked a very good player. Luke Shaw made some good runs down the left but that was about it really from us... Lesson from tonight: SIGN UP BAMFORD!
  4. Excellent news, hopefully he'll get a bit of gametime on Saturday. Fantastic signing on a free transfer as well! Congrats to the person who scouted him, nice big bonus methinks.
  5. It was compulsory when I started my GCSE's back in 2007. I mucked about in the lessons, never did any work and didn't get on with the teacher (who subsequently predicted me an E) and came out of it with with an A. My school did the 'Ethics & Philosophy' course, which sounds a lot more interesting than it actually is. Basically it's RE except we talked about the Iraq war for a bit and the morality of it all. The RE course isn't indoctrinating in any way, it actually focuses few lessons on Christianity, looking at more colourful and interesting religions in a bid to interest the kids. Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Sikhism are looked at.
  6. Off to this game tonight, looking forward to seeing our young players in action.
  7. Allow me to be controversial, but I still think he's a massive c*nt. If he plays well on the pitch and works hard, fair enough. If he plays like he always has done, sulks and doesn't pass to anyone, I might not be so generous. I'm not going to forget what he said about our club and our fans easily, although it's in the best interest of the club to put it behind us. Until he proves me wrong, I still hate him.
  8. Rickie won't go to Everton. For starters, he's a Liverpool fan. Next up is the fact that he'd cost at least £5m. Then there's the point that he's nearly 30. After that, he's never played above this level, and this is his first season above L1. Still want a few more reasons why that won't happen?
  9. P!sses me off when people criticise Cortese. I think he's running the club properly, which is something that we can't claim to have had for....well, nigh on 10-15 years really. He doesn't want to pay over the odds for players, and isn't going to be held to random by agents and all the other hangers-on that players seem to have nowadays. He's turned us around, hired a manager who built a great side and won us a cup final, then hired another manager who's seen us promoted and also top the Championship for almost 4 months. To criticise him now is just stupid I think. It's clear that we're making bids for players, but bids don't always come off. Have a bit of patience and stick behind the man who brought Markus to the club and has run us properly.
  10. Save £10 if we take the coach. Every penny counts.
  11. Hopefully the fact that he's now in England might shut a few people up. Don't expect him to feature for long against Millwall or Cardiff, maybe 15 minutes off the bench vs Millwall and 30 minutes vs Cardiff.
  12. Hope he heard his name being sung last night as welll.... followed by the words "...THE W4NKER, THE W4NKER!"
  13. What does this mean for anybody wanting to buy the club now? Will a deal still be able to go through?
  14. Kingsland North, 37 & 38. No noise coming from the Northam nowadays, all the chants are started in the Kingsland.
  15. Fitz Hall or Matthew Connolly please.
  16. In the process of dropping out, but i've never let it affect my Uni work. Never smoked when I had an essay due, when I had a lecture in the morning, or when I had an exam coming up. My second cousin had a drug meltdown, started using in her early 20s and she spent the next 6 or 7 years in a right mess. Luckily I think she's clean now (don't have loads of contact with that side of the family, they're distant relatives) but she was on the verge of death because of the scumbags who had her hooked on these substances. Take the drugs out of the hands of these criminals, regulate them properly and provide proper treatment facilities and centres and hopefully we can cut down on instances like hers.
  17. Everything about tonight was f*cking dire. Our game plan was wrong, and Leicester executed theirs perfectly. Without Rickie on the pitch, we had nobody to hold up the ball from the long passes we kept pumping up there. Guly's touch completely deserted him tonight, although tbf he always had 3 men on him as soon as he got the ball so he didn't have much of a chance. Pretty dreadful all over the pitch tbh, the only player who can really say he did well tonight was Hooiveld. Hope we've got him back before Cardiff, otherwise we're screwed. Aside from the rubbish on the pitch, what really f*cking infuriated me was fans leaving in their hundreds on 75 minutes and those who booed at half time and full time. Call yourselves Saints fans? Absolutely disgraceful.
  18. We've put ourselves on the reserve list for the next away supporters coach if they decide to put another one on, ought to hear back from the club in the next few days.
  19. Going up with my mate for this one, anyone know a good way to get to the stadium? Most sites say get the train to South Bermondsey but it's looking pricey - £28 each. Anyone know a cheap way either?
  20. This. Of all the people I know who take drugs (and that's most people I know, in one way or another) not many of them are scared by the possible repurcussions of their actions. I myself smoke cannabis once or twice a week, and I don't ever let it interfere with my working life, my academic life or my social and family life. I've been smoking cannabis for about 2 years, and i've never tried any other drugs. Most of my friends have, and I have nothing against them for that. However, i've just never been tempted by other drugs in that way. I think that shows that someone can be a moderate user of soft drugs and not just a person on the path to harder drug use like everybody is told. I've seen enough of most drugs in common use in this country to see their good side and their bad side (seeing my friend almost comatose after taking ketamine has definitely put me off it!), and I feel that I can make an informed and educated decision about drugs because of this. The nanny culture that we operate under at the moment with regards to drugs helps nobody, and all it does is put money into the hands of criminals. It'd be a very radical step for this government, but I think if they can be controlled properly and regulated, drugs should be legalised.
  21. @Pearcesport Jury told that when Redknapp was director of football at Portsmouth his contract entitled him to 10% of net profit on any transfers Pretty cushty deal that 'Arry, pay any tax on it?
  22. @Pearcesport Prosecution say Redknapp "no ordinary employee" and "unusually talented". Say he "in recent times gained widespread popularity"
  23. Thank god that people are finally realising that R + M are massive crooks! Bout time too.
  24. Cortese isn't picking the team ffs. He's trying to remove a disruptive influence from the squad, and I don't think Nige has him in his plans either tbh.
  25. With no Glasto this year, I think i'm going to have a year off from festivals (unless Reading pulls out an amazing line-up for a day, in which case i'll go as it's only 15 minutes up the road). Probably going on holiday with mates instead.
