I think we should offer him a 1 year deal if he can prove his fitness. He's a good player to have around, works hard and is a great bloke (won lots of community awards for his work with the local children's ward).

Crashed here as well.

Scuba divers are going down once the ship is deemed 'safe' to explore the submerged levels and see if there are any bodies down there. Given the fact that there was a f*cking huge hole in the side of the boat, there may well be.

We started with a diamond against Cov then switched to a 4-4-2 later in the game, so we could be following that tactic again. Wasn't very effective until we went 4-4-2 in the Cov game though...

Morgan tends to drift into the middle like Lallana when he plays on the right, he's not so bad out there. It's just when Morgan and Adam both play on the wings, we have no directness like when Steve or Chaplow play. We'll be looking for Harding to overlap down the right side like he did against Coventry then. I'm actually quietly confident about this one - although i'll wait and see who's on the bench first...

Nigel was very open about where he stands with Jason in his interview the other day, basically he said that Jason came back from his loan at QPR, we ran a fitness test on him (or an MOT as Nige calls it - what a nutter!) then they sat down to discuss his future. I think as far as I can tell, he will be leaving. Nigel said that if somebody wants to put a bid in for him then we're willing to listen, although he mentioned that he wasn't looking to loan him out again - probably prefer to get him off the wage bill and take the transfer fee. Wouldn't surprise me if he went to Celtic so he could be with that other petulant w4nker Lennon, but I would be surprised if it was anything to do with the Hooper deal.

Here is the proof of Gary Hoopers Skills!

The Scottish league isn't as bad as people seem to think it is. Back in the days of McCoist and Larsson (who regularly scored 25+ goals a season for about 6 or 7 years), Celtic and Rangers were among the top teams in Europe. If the SPL had the same amount of TV money as the EPL it would be a different story. The Old Firm have a huge fanbase, european quality stadiums and great youth academies - they could be good EPL sides. Then you've got the likes of Hibernian, Hearts, Abderdeen, Motherwell etc also with big fanbases, good stadiums and youth academies (particularly Motherwell). The standard of football isn't that great, but the pitches are tougher to play on when there's no money in the coffers for nice fresh turf like we have at SMS week in, week out! Anyway, back to Hooper. As MLG has said, he's an excellent poacher and you have to have the right type of footballing brain and foresight to get into positions to score from 3 yards. Most of those goals were from him losing his marker and drifting into space at the back or near post. You don't need to score from 30, 40 yards out when you can score 1 of those each game. They all count the same. How many times this season have we seen crosses go over players heads in the box with nobody to collect at the back post? That's where Hooper would thrive. -
I was thinking about that the other day as well, a team like this could be a real possibility in 5/6 years time: GK - ? RB - Stephens LB - Shaw CB - ? CB - ? CM - Ward-Prowse CM - Schneiderlin RM - Isgrove LM - Lallana ST - ? ST - Sinclair

I hate to say this, but you couldn't be much more wrong than you are with those choices. You might not like those films, but they all represent revolutions in contemporary filmmaking.

If you go in on a certain day they have hairdressing students from the local college in practicing, I believe you can get a haircut for next to nothing then.

Rory Delap...

He is still under contract with the club then, just not a professional contract. A bid would have to be made for him if another club wanted to sign him. Although you can have 17 year olds on youth contracts, so I think my original point may have been a bit wrong...
-
Like MLG said, you can offer a youth player a professional contract at any time which will take effect as soon as they turn 17. If we didn't do that there would be a huge scramble to pick off our best players for nothing just before they turned 17 as they would technically be available on a free transfer.

I hate Adele. Not only does her voice sound like somebody repeatedly stepping on a dog's tail, she's annoying and last year she whined about having to pay £4m in tax when she still made another £4m for herself. C*nt. Manufactured music like hers is killing the industry, 99% of music in the charts is absolute sh!te which all sounds the same. My god, do we need a musical revolution right now.

I go to Oscars on Portswood high street, student haircut is £8 and unlike most hairdressers they never manage to completely f*ck your hair up. Cracking that.

Another vote for Arcade Fire here, they are just phenomenal. Their studio work is great, but the songs just spring to life when they're played live. The band has a reputation as one of the best live acts ever for a reason, they will blow you away. I have had the pleasure of seeing them live 3 times now, and every time I come away from the gig just completely astounded that one band can be so utterly brilliant! I fell in love with them properly during this moment, standing in a muddy field with my Dad at the age of 15 watching grown men crying around me! Just sublime. And if you want a real crowd pleaser, you can't get any better than this: Right, i'm going to listen to all 3 albums now.

Got to be Lee will rock you. Catchiest one.

I've never met Oli, but his mum is a teacher at the secondary school I went to and is well liked there. Hope he turns up alright.
-
Good that they've made allowances for lots of me time. I'm booking tomorrow.

Doubt we'll sign him and register him in time for the Forest game, but great news nonetheless. If the FA made an exception for him then he must be a real talent!
-
He's on here, posts under the name of Ludwig. Common knowledge ffs.
-
Nobody seems to give a f*ck, but Michael Kiwanuka won. Supremely talented bloke, not sure if he'll have the mainstream success of past winners like Jessie J but nice to see some proper talent recognised!

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..

Not sure if anyone else shares my opinion on this, but I really rate Emile Sinclair from Peterborough. Scored Boro's consolation goal this season at SMS with a good run and finish. He's very quick, tall, good with the ball and would be a good option to have in the team I think. Whether Boro would sell him or not is another thing, really we should have nipped in for him when he was at Macclesfield as we would probably be forced to pay over the odds for him now.
