Do you really believe we will be promoted this season,Yes or No ?
SuperMikey replied to bjk's topic in The Saints
If we can improve our away form and bring some players in to improve the depth of our squad then I don't see why we can't gain promotion. Champions is ambitious, because West Ham, Leicester etc will almost certainly be spending big in January, but I think we're in a great position to challenge for 2nd place and I wouldn't be disappointed with a place in the play-offs either. I suppose we should be grateful that West Ham have hit their poor patch of form at the same time as us, otherwise with arguably 8pts dropped over the last 3 weekend games we could be in a lot worse position than 3pts clear still at the top! That will help us to attract players in January and inspire the team. -
I do tell them not to watch the X Factor, they both have pretty good taste in music so it's a bit bizarre that they do it. I think they're just happy of the distraction!

Do they want Bart in exchange for Valdes?

I phoned my parents on my way home from work this evening, they told me. They'd watched the X Factor final on the telly - she 'performed' this song on it. M'kay?

Forte is better than SDR? Are you f*cking insane!??! SDR is inconsistent, that's his nature as a flair player. He will have some very good games and some very bad games. Forte is just sh!t. FWIW I think we need 2 strikers in January as well, hell maybe even 3 because Connolly has his injury problems and is out of contract at the end of the season. We need a pacy striker to play off the shoulder, we need a tall strong striker to come in for Rickie when he's out and we could probably do with signing a young striker to provide cover all over, somebody who we can develop as a player - unless we decide to introduce the likes of Sinclair, Hoskins, Doble etc into the first-team this season. Sharp/Maynard and Lukey Jukey would do it for me. Would be excellent signings, any of them.

Well, Trent Reznor anyway. You might know this song by the Johnny Cash cover too: It is, as my Dad so aptly described it earlier to me, an absolute abortion of the song. Can the SyCo bosses not perhaps write a song for their artists, or do they have to coat-tail their way around the industry on other people's songs?

Watching the highlights from today it's obvious he had a complete mare. However, we all saw him last season when KD was out injured and he was absolutely fantastic. Until Kelv is back he's our best option, no doubt. I do wish it was any game but the Skates next week considering the events of today, but i'm sure the coaching team will have a close eye on Bart in the week and will make sure that he's motivated and focused for the game.

I'm going to miss the game tomorrow because i'm working - first home game I will have missed this season. Bad omen?

Would be great foil for Rickie up front, we should definitely move for him!

Every death on every road in Great Britain 1999-2010
SuperMikey replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
Don't apologise, it's not your fault! I actually saw the article on the BBC website and was about to start a thread on it myself when I saw you had already made one. I walk past the exact spot where my neighbour was killed every time I walk to the pub when i'm back home, but I think having the exact details of the 'incident' on one of the most visited websites in the world for anybody to gawp at is a little bit wrong imo. Can't imagine what it must be like for Weston - if I was to lose a brother like he did then I sure as hell wouldn't want the details of it out there like this either. -
This. I don't care if some geezer in a lab coat knows I have asthma, and besides all the data is anonymous anyway. If it helps the progression of medical sciences i'm all for it.

Every death on every road in Great Britain 1999-2010
SuperMikey replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
I think this is a bit tasteless actually. I put in my home postcode and saw the spot where my neighbour was hit by a car and killed in 2002, with the exact time and date it happened. I understand the concept behind promoting road safety and showing 'black spots', but I don't think this handles a very sensitive subject well at all. 2 people that I went to school with have been killed in separate incidents within the last 4 months near where I live, and to think they'll just be an orange spot on a map this time next year is sickening. These were people, not 'incidents'. -
Without a shadow of a doubt, it's got to be Josh Dutton-Black.

I would love to go, but haven't had the money this year to go to away games as well as home games. I appreciate that rewarding travelling Saints fans is a good system, but if it is true that we've returned 400 tickets then why not offer them to ST holders or people on the database? I can't help but think this isn't true, we would surely sell the tickets somehow.

Before my time, but watching replays of him in action in various World Cups it's evident he was one of the greatest. Very intelligent bloke as well as a great footballer, wasn't he involved in Brazilian politics at some point?

------------------DAVIS---------------- FRAZER-----FONTE-----JOS---------FOX SDR-----HAMMOND-----CORK----LALLANA ----------LAMBERT-----GULY------------ Subs: Bart, Martin, Schneiderlin, Holmes, Barnard Was toying with the idea of putting Lallana on the right with Holmes starting on the left, but I don't think he has the match-fitness yet. Steeeeeve can do a job for us in the first half, Crainey is slow as fook and if Steve can tire him out early on then we can play wide and get crosses in for Rickie and Guly up front. Was also thinking about starting Barnard up front and putting Guly at RM, but Guly's been at his best this season up front and again Barney lacks a bit of match fitness. Will be weird seeing Brett and KP back at SMS again, although I think Brett will get a much better welcome than KP! All together now: "Posh Spice is a slapper..."

I was going to send the invite back SNSUN, but it's probably just easier to respond on here. I will be attending with one other, and I would like Chicken Nuggets for dinner. x
