We're not all as dumb as I am. I'd love to go for a beer mate, still got my number? I've got yours, i'll give you a text closer to the time.

He's quite intelligent this one - he was hiding in my cupboard so I put a piece of cheese by the door of my room to tempt him out. He took the cheese and promptly went straight back into the cupboard. Bastard.

My student digs is occupied by a few mice at the moment, went into the kitchen to get a drink the other morning and one of them was just the other side of the door and scuttled away when he saw me. Just got back in from work, dumped my work stuff on the floor and one was sitting on my bed. Don't really want to put poison down and have a load of mouse corpses littering the house, so what do I do? Humane traps are probably the way to go, but they can be quite pricey... More worried at the moment about the mouse that's in my pile of laundry in the corner...

Completely shocked by this, he seemed like a great bloke and his death has obviously affected a large number of people judging by the outpour from footballers and people involved in the sport. Grew up watching him play for Newcastle, always thought he was one of the best midfielders playing in the Prem at that time. Also remember him from his Bolton days, and even though he was getting on a bit he still bossed it every week for them. RIP Gary

Guly's touch gets away from him in the box...f*cking sort it out saints!

Close the fred now ffs, it's just boring now.

They do, but only if you haven't received a full A-level qualification in them. Didn't include them in the post because I couldn't remember the points thresholds...
-
It relates to A-level results. It breaks down like this: A* = 140pts A = 120pts B = 100pts C = 80pts D = 60pts I've got 340pts (BCCC) so I should be okay - the course i'm currently on wanted me to get 380pts but I managed to scrape through somehow. I agree that it's not an incredibly useful degree course, but I want to do something that I enjoy and relates to a career - my next step would be to join a graduate training programme or jump straight into the industry itself. MEANWHILE, BACK ON TOPIC... I agree with Andy that immigration is a good thing. Despite what the right-wing nutters would have you believe, people come to this country with the intention of working, not just sponging on benefits. People are leaving their countries of origin because they can't get jobs, their quality of life is low and most third-world countries are experiencing exponential growth in birth rates and population increase. They're jumping before they are pushed, so to speak, in order to provide a better future for their families. A lot of the people coming into this country are highly-skilled workers like doctors, and who would choose to keep a foreign doctor in this country as opposed to a British burger flipper?

Nice to see that people care more about me leaving uni than immigrants coming over here, taking our jobs, impregnating our women... Window Cleaner, this is the course - http://courses.bournemouth.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate-degree/radio/none/1461/

It's no surprise more people came to this country last year, the whole world was in economic sh!te so it makes more sense to move to a country with a larger economy than the one you currently live in. Immigration is not a problem that can be solved in a day though... it's foolish to think that imo. Tougher border controls could be implemented in a few months but we need to train staff, improve systems and administration etc, all of that takes time and money. Can't see this government making major strides towards really strict border controls until our economic situation picks up - which, with our lack of economic growth over the last 18 months, could take a while.

I love giving gifts at christmas but receiving them from others just makes me feel a bit... awkward. I'll usually spend about £20 each on presents for my little brothers, and about £10-15 on a present each for my parents.
-
David Templeton, Eggert Jonsson and Andrew Driver would all be decent signings.
-
26,800. Half of the words towards the end of the second page struck me as being fictional....
-
Lukas Jutkiewicz.... is he worth signing?
SuperMikey replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I qualify for Ireland through my grandmother, Sweden through my other grandmother, Scotland through my grandfather and England through my other grandfather. Of course, I doubt i'll be representing any of them anytime soon - except Scotland perhaps. -
Saw him at Glastonbury 2009, I wasn't too sure about seeing him but my dad persuaded me to go with him. We were very near the front, having been there since about 7pm to watch Kasabian beforehand (who were excellent). I didn't know too much of Bruce's music, but I knew the odd song of his - my dad has been a fan of his since he was a student and knew every word of every song! He played for 2 hours and it was mindblowing. His energy, stage-presence, connection with the crowd, the amazing songs, the amazing band and his amazing voice absolutely blew me away. It's still one of the best live sets i've ever seen, hands down. The only thing that beat Bruce that weekend was seeing Blur the next evening. If you get a ticket for IOW, make sure to go and see him. He is simply brilliant live. It won't be the same without Clarence on the sax though... Still gives me shivers whenever I watch that video!

What happened, did you get jilted? I've got a vision of you sitting in a corner in a darkened room, your face lit only by Turkish's Facebook profile on your laptop, a bottle of gin in one hand and your own penis in the other.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/nov/21/bee-gees-robin-gibb He's been hospitalised a few times over the summer, and a family friend has said his condition is "not good".

I'll dangle them over your head, and you can reach up and paw at them like a kitten would. Text me and we'll arrange something xxx

I was in Block 37, Row LL. They were in Block 38, 2nd row from the back. Where were you?

There were a few 'lads' at the top of the Kingsland North singing "HIV Positive, HIV Positive" for the whole game - a bit of banter like "We can see you holding hands" etc is fine by me, but I think that was too much. Nobody seemed to give a f*ck though, even when they were singing it as the bloke was being chucked out a few rows across.
-
Just saw that on MOTD2, absolutely amazing that nobody picked up on it! Shocking officiating all round.
-
My mate lost his accy, but he did win £160 after putting a tenner on Rickie to score a hat-trick yesterday! Needless to say, drinks were on him after that.
-
I have to admit that I was impressed at how well-spoken Appleton was in his interview with Solent after he was hired, I thought he'd be a thug but hopefully we won't be blugeoned with excuses when listening to Solent after games like we were when the Wurzel was in charge down the road. 1.7k is a decent following for a Championship team though, guess they were looking to welcome in their new manager.
-
I was a few rows above him, I didn't see why he was chucked out but my mate said that it looked like he threw something. Can't say whether that's true or not though, he looked mighty annoyed to be thrown out.

David has always harboured ambitions to be a contortionist. An opportunity came up for him last week to join a troupe, and in his audition David attempted the famed 'Bendy Leg' move, where he put his own leg over his head. Unfortunately during the audition, David's leg was severed from his body and had to be pritt-sticked back on, which has caused a minor groin strain. He should be back in 2 or 3 weeks.
