  1. Did you spill Bovril on your lap at half time or something? Chill out a bit ffs.
  2. Just back from the game (and the pub). Great to go 2-0 up within 20 minutes, but after that I think we switched off. When they went down to 10 men, they got everyone behind the ball and frustrated us. It didn't help that we were making mistakes as well. I think we weren't involving the midfield in the build up play as much in the second half, the ball tended to switch from flank to flank or from the defence up to Rickie. Something to improve on, because we didn't use our possession very well in the 2nd half.
  3. A load of 'hard' kids aged between 12-15 were running down my street throwing eggs at random houses earlier. I was outside having a smoke at the time, and I caught the eye of the 'leader' and gave him an intimidating stare. He looked scared and then ran off after the rest of his gang. I feel well cool.
  4. Surprised nobody has mentioned the Love Walrus yet:
  5. - Open Steam - Click on 'Library' - On the left side of the screen will be a menu of games that have been activated through Steam - Right click on Football Manager 2012 - Select 'Properties' from the drop-down menu - Click on 'Local Files' - Then click on 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache' - Steam will then run through the game files and replace anything which is corrupted, the game ought to run properly then, it'll definitely sort out the crash dumps problem.
  6. I thought he was released because he was stealing training kit and selling it on? Not heard about the armed robbery before!
  7. --------------------DAVIS------------------- BUTTERS------FONTE----HOOIVELD------FOX CHAPPERS--HAMMOND---MORGAN----LALLANA ------------LAMBERT----GULY--------------- Subs: Bart, Martin, Cork, De Ridder, Connolly 4-2 Lambert x2 De Ridder Lallana
  8. She had the baby "earlier this year" - great journalism there.
  9. If i'm not standing at a game, it is quite uncomfortable - mostly because i'm 6'5" but also because I do carry a bit of extra meat on my bones. I fit on my seat just fine, it's more not having any leg room which annoys me.
  10. No, I had to take them off for work. I'll be wearing a black coat though, can't be too many people on Tuesday night wearing those surely?
  11. Just read the IMDb 'Parental Guide' which outlines the more violent bits in the film. It would be hard to justify some of that stuff artistically!
  12. Look out for me on Tuesday Dune, I have a shirt that says MIKEY 4 DUNE on the back of it. If you see me, come over and say hello.
  13. Surge Radio...the best student radio station in the south!
  14. I thought the Boro fans were singing "Where were you when you were sh!t", hence the waving of the STs. What a bunch of f*cking morons. I used to stand in the Northam when we were in L1, but I much prefer being in Block 38/39 now. Better atmosphere, singing is louder and you get to watch all the old dears in the Kingsland South clapping along to the songs.
  15. Chaplow was brilliant yesterday, but he tired visibly towards the end of the game. I think he deserves a rest on Tuesday, he's run his socks off the last 3 or 4 weeks. My vote goes to Guly because he looked incredibly chuffed when he scored, and it's good to build his confidence up. If he repeats the feat on Tuesday then I think he'll be second choice striker behind Rickie.
  16. May I recommend that you manage my Swedish team - Malmo. They have a very good team, some quality players (including Daniel Larsson, quick as f*ck) and play in Europe. Good way to build up your rep. If you can get the job that is.
  17. He was great against Watford, just ran out of steam towards the end of the game because of a lack of playing time. Give him a chance ffs!
  18. Coming up to January now in my Saints game, sitting pretty in 2nd place in the league just behind Reading (one of only 2 teams to have beaten us so far). Highlights of the season so far being a 4-0 win against Brighton and a 2-0 win against P*mpey (both at home breaking attendance records). Made a few signings on the recommendations on this thread, including Darwin Quintero who has been an absolute beast. If only he finished half of the chances he was presented, he'd be on 100+ a season! My current team is: ----------------LOACH--------------- KELLY-----FONTE-----BAMBA-----FOX ---------MCCANN-----CORK---------- DE RIDDER-------------------LALLANA --------LAMBERT-----QUINTERO------ Subs: Davis, Hooiveld, Livermore, Oar, Helguson SIGNINGS Darwin Quintero (ST) £3.3m - Great so far, very pacy and turns defenders inside out. Scott Loach (GK) £2.5m - Very solid, although he's not saved a penalty for me yet... Stephen Kelly (RB) £1.7m - Dependable, experienced and good down the flanks. Chris McCann (CM) £3.2m - Handy in defence and attack, great box-to-box midfielder. Tommy Oar (LM) £1.5m - Young winger, scouts say he'll be a good Prem winger in the future. Sol Bamba (CB) £1.5m - Good foil for Fonte in defence, good in the air and on the ground. Cheap too. Heidar Helguson (ST) Loan - Brought him in as back-up for Lambert, my first-choice cup striker. Great target man. Shane Duffy (CB) Loan - Brought in as 4th choice centre-back, not played too much but always played well when he has. Jake Livermore (CM) Loan - Jack Cork was out injured for 6 weeks so brought him in, very good. Might get him permanently. Oliver Korch (GK) Free - 16 year-old Danish goalie, one for the future apparently. Got rid of Forecast so he's 4th choice behind Loach, Kelvin and Bart. Miles Addison (CB) £725k - Hooiveld loan expires in January and Addison is coming in to replace him. Good young English defender, not many of them about for that price. I'll update y'all when I win the league!
  19. The world is your oyster Actually, the Scottish leagues are good for building up your reputation as a manger - see if you can break the Old Firm grip on the league and you can get almost any job in Europe.
  20. My Gran lives up in the Perthshire hills in Scotland, and there is an escaped black cat living in the surrounding countryside near her. It walked past her house the other week while she was brushing her teeth in the morning. It's been identified as a Puma, due to general size and tail length. She found a half-eaten, mauled deer carcass about 100m away from her driveway earlier on in the year as well. Scary really!
  21. Yes, definitely go for it. Impressed so far.
  22. Dimbleby is the best part of the show! Who would you have instead?
  23. Was round at a mate's house earlier and he found that a package had been wrongly delivered to his address - inside? A NEW PC VERSION OF BATTLEFIELD 3! In 2 minds as to what to do with it... can't send it onto him as he's put the wrong delivery address in and f*ck sending it back to Amazon!
  24. We usually start off at The Giddy Bridge in Bedford Place around 12:00, then walk down to the KA from there at about 1:00, leave for SMS at 2:30 and get another quick one in in the concourse before kick-off. Perfect!
  25. If the weather is clear on Saturday I reckon we'll get a big walkup - can see us getting around 28-30k.
