  1. Cork was excellent on the right against Forest, and Hammond and Morgan were great in the middle together as well. I wouldn't change that until De Ridder is 100% fit again.
  2. -------------------DAVIS---------------------- FRAZER-----MARTIN-----HOOIVELD---------FOX CORK-----HAMMOND-----MORGAN-------FALQUE ---------------GULY-----CONNOLLY------------ Subs: Bart, Harding, De Ridder, Holmes, Reeves
  3. Think he's on about £30k p/w, which is above what we're paying for wages now. Would be an excellent signing though.
  4. There's probably one or two in their U18 squad WCDAJ, or rather what they've got left of their U18 squad. I should imagine Jason Dodd and Martin Hunter would have scout reports from when our U18s played theirs a few weeks ago. From the first team squad, there's not many I can think of who would improve our squad that much tbh. Pearce is a decent CB, but i'd much prefer to play Martin instead. Huseklepp wouldn't improve our forward line too much, Norris is a dirty c*nt and the same for Lawrence. Aside from those 4, nobody really strikes me as being that good...
  5. Alex isn't as quick as Theo, but his movement on and off the ball are of Premiership quality, whereas Theo still has to massively improve that part of his game. If Alex plays say, 75% of the remaining Arsenal games this season, I reckon Capello will name him in the Euro 2012 squad. If not, he'll light up the Olympic squad at least...
  6. We will not lose against Leicester. Fact. The most pressing concern for me at the moment is that we're playing West Ham, Cardiff and Burnley in a short space of time. Those are 3 crucial games against promotion rivals (excluding perhaps Burnley, who will be play-offs at best). If we can win 2 of those games, I would put us as a certainty for automatic promotion imo. This is a vital time!
  7. We'll never know exactly what went on, same way that we'll never know exactly why Pardew was sacked. It's not good PR to have spats inside the club out in public knowledge. Rumours are rife that he was bullying Chambo when he broke into the team, causing himself to be disliked by the players and staff. Whether that particular rumour is true or not is debatable, but the fact remains that he's a petulant w4nker who comes across as pretty f*cking simple. The sooner some mug comes and snaps him up, the better. There's a reason he's never settled anywhere.
  8. Me @jasonpunch Nobody's going to want to sign you with an attitude like that, be a man about this situation you stupid *****. Him Funny when people talk about something they no nothing about..bunch of clowns..just laugh to myself Me @jasonpunch The bunch of clowns that pay the wages that you don't deserve you mean? It's called being a professional, hope you get fined. Slagging off the fans that effectively pay your wages is just not on, hope he rots in League 2 for the rest of his career.
  9. What a stupid c*nt. Have made my feelings clear to him about what a pr!ck he is. Petulant, arrogant moron.
  10. Is it a grower? Given it 2 or 3 listens but not really clicked for me yet. Quite different now from their twee shoe-gazing first album!
  11. Anyone know what's happened to Frimpong in the Wolves game? Just switched onto Final Score and they were looking very serious and saying there were 8 or 9 medical staff around him on the pitch. Broken leg?
  12. He's not that bad, solid at this level at least. Got a good cross and set-piece delivery on him.
  13. I'd much rather they stayed in business and we got to thrash them at SMS in April rather than be 4pts clear at the top again tbh.
  14. I got Macdonald on the back of my shirt while Scott McDonald was playing for us. Mostly I got it because it's my surname, but I thought it linked quite well. Got the shirt for my 10th birthday.
  15. Shame that he's denied the move, Mathias would be a sublime signing! One of the highest rated young centre backs in Europe.
  16. This is the time that we put a cheeky bid in for Sam Magri. £150k, take it or leave it Skates!
  17. I think if we don't sign another striker in this window and we go up we'll probably go for Maynard on a free first of all, just for that bit of pace up front. Problem is we need somebody ideally who has a history of scoring at Prem level. Our real priority should we go up would be to get a goalscoring midfielder for that 4th CM position. Cork, Schneiderlin and Hammond are great players but none of them will score most games. Somebody like Peter Whittingham is ideal.
  18. If we'd sold 25k+ by the time the article was published, the OS would indicate that tickets were selling out fast, but the indication in this article is that there are loads of tickets left. That's what I read into it anyway.
  19. This discussion is on another thread, Lee might take a bit of time to bed in properly and we have other issues with our strikers: Lambert - Consistent, first-choice striker (even if he is suspended at the moment!) Guly - Class act Connolly - Great player, but injury problems Barnard - Good player, but uncertain future and injury problems too Forte - Looks to be on his way out De Ridder - Really a winger. If we get promoted this season, I can see us getting rid of Barnard and Forte, and Connolly won't always be available. Ideally, we need 4 top strikers in our team.
  20. I'd much prefer to have Hooper than Rodriguez though, Hooper is a different type of player. He's a finisher, and with the amount of chances our midfield lays on he would thrive in this team. Rodriguez is much more of a target man. Tadanari Lee is a pretty big fella as well, so he can operate in a similar type of role to SRL, dropping deeper and linking with the midfield. I agree that it's a bit of a circus, but what would you expect when we've taken so many people by surprise with our season so far and the fact that we have money in the bank to spend? I think it's a sign of the times, and i'm happy to see it. 3 years ago I would never have guessed we'd be bidding circa £6m for a player - 3 years ago I was wondering whether we'd still have a club to support or not...
  21. There was an article on the OS the other day about tickets still being available, so I would imagine they're not selling as well as we would hope. Probably get about 25k in the end I think.
  22. Cork was amazing on the right last week, no way i'd drop him to the bench for this game. Needs to negate the threat of Konchesky at LB as well, having a defensive player at RM will hopefully stop him getting forward as much.
  23. My great-great-great-grandfather was an admiral in the Swedish navy, had his own ship and everything. We've got a picture up in our house of it. My grandfather was a Major in the Black Watch regiment during the war as well...
  24. Pete is brilliant, best person on Twitter by far!
