Those Bullingdon club dinners aren't exactly light on calories.

Good for the youngsters to play alongside more experienced pros, it means that they get used to playing with higher level players and also against higher level opposition based on the squads that teams have been bringing to play against our U21s, which means that the step-up to the first-team squad isn't as high as it was before when most youth team players just played against other youth team players week-in, week-out.

Agree with that, you only need to look at 2 separate incidents in Kenya over the last few days to see that. A British tourist murdered in Kenya - obviously a very sad and important news event, there's no doubting that - dominates news coverage for days, but upwards of 100 people killed and dozens more seriously injured as well as a large area of Nairobi destroyed in the same country is regarded as non-important by the British media and public. It's a sad state of affairs really that we in this country seem to not care about things which don't involve British people or Britain itself.

Just answer one simple question f*ckwit - WELL WHY'D YA STICK YA FINGER UP WHEN YA WENT PAAAAAHST?

I'm torn between wanting a good cup run and concentrating on the league. If our promotion ambitions start to wain, I would be happy to concentrate on getting as far in the cup as possible.

He's obviously a disturbed person, taking pleasure from abusing the friends and families of dead people. I think a short 'lesson-learning' custodial sentence and a psychological analysis could prove worthwhile.

I detect a tinge of jealousy on this thread from numerous parties - if SWF was a chat show Dubai Phil would be the star of it with his reams of anecdotes and golf tips. The question is - who would be the internet version of Jonathan Ross, hosting procedings?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-14879401 One can only imagine the scenes while that was going on, terrible thing to happen. It seems to have disappeared off the BBC news 'most read' section very quickly though, obviously the UK public care more about Phillip Hammond talking about trains rather than dozens of people being killed and horribly disfigured in a third-world country.

I have to admit when I saw the short highlights on The Football League Show, I thought there was a trip. After seeing the highlights on SaintsPlayer, it's clear that Davis had his leg out, but not to trip him. Derbyshire trailed his leg over Kelvin's and then went down like he'd been shot! Appalling dive tbh.

I was impressed whenever I saw him play, he looked good on the wing. He'll end up playing at a higher level than Winchester City fo' sho'.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-14872725 If anyone has any info on this, please come forward and speak to the police. I know we have some users on this forum that live in the area. The driver didn't even f*cking stop. RIP Jack.

I'm glad that it's 2 newly-promoted clubs at the top of the Championship rather than the parachute-flush ex-Prem teams like it usually is. As long as we finish above them, I don't care how they do this season!

This could be a problem, I am planning on moving to Canada in the next 8-10 years and I think an easy way of getting a visa etc would be having QTS.

Have to agree, the rules about not having drinks outside are just stupid. Barely any room to move around in the KA now.

I was also at school, we got sent home early (we weren't told why) and came home to find my Mum and Dad both back from work sitting on the sofa dumbstruck, watching planes smash into buildings. I was too young to understand what was going on at the time, but I knew it was a monumentous event. Hard to believe it's been 10 years already.

My prediction that Miller would cause us problems was pooh-pooed on here by some, i'm sat here smug in my Nostradamus-like aura now. Think we should've signed him tbh, missed out on that one. And McGoldrick is pants, was amazed when we got £1m for him! With our awful financial state at that time, i'm surprised we managed to get that much.

Chill out Simon, it's just a lot of Saints fan feel a bit confused about where we stand with AFCB. A few years ago we were loaning young players to you, holding fund-raising friendlies to keep you in existence and generally helping you out (didn't we loan our groundkeeping staff to you to keep Dean Court in order when you couldn't afford anyone to maintain your ground?). All of a sudden AFCB have been promoted to the same league as us, and your fans are lording it up and acting like everyone involved at Saints had gone to Bournemouth on a King Herod mission and slaughtered all of your first-borns! One particular memory I have is standing at the ticket office for the league game at SMS last season when your fans were escorted past us by the police, shouting "SCUMMERS! SCUMMERS!" and hurling abuse at us Saints fans just standing at the office waiting to get our tickets for the game. No abuse from our side, just watching the AFCB fans getting all riled up for no particular reason and screaming abuse at us! Absolutely bizarre.

Thanks for your response mate, appreciate that. It's a route that i'm exploring at the moment, just trying to get some sort of a rough plan together for after I graduate.

Gutted I missed this one, but it was at the back of my mind when I was working today. Very pleased to get 3 points, Forest are a good side and the scoreline suggests they gave us a few problems at the back. Injuries are an interesting one, we've got Richardson, Harding, Butterfield, Seaborne and Jaidi out at the moment. If any of them are out for more than a month (as Seaborne probably will be), I can see Nige dipping into the loan market.

Suddenly I feel more confident about this game now.

Mmm, that is one of the drawbacks to this hare-brained scheme of mine.
