  1. I've seen us relegated twice, but never promoted. Not a good record...
  2. Fonte has been the most consistent by far, but we've really missed Lallana when he's not played. Lambert has notched up an impressive amount of goals considering his problems with injuries at the start of the season, and Barnard has also scored many important goals for us despite his off-field problems. Davis has been his usual solid self, and now has the record for most clean sheets in a Saints shirt. Chamberlain has made a remarkable breakthrough from youth team to first team, courting some of the world's biggest clubs along the way. In reality, the award could go to any of those players, but we can't discredit the hard work that the likes of Hammond, Butterfield, Harding, Jaidi, Chaplow etc have put in without necessarily sparkling like the others. It's not just the players that have helped our cause either - our backroom and boardroom team have done fantastically this season. Adkins has come in and given us stability at the managerial helm, given the players a new sense of belief and instilled a really positive attitude around the club. Andy Crosby and the rest of the coaching staff have obviously been putting in lots of work on the training ground - the number of goals we've scored from set-pieces is testimony to that. Nicola Cortese could have easily accepted a large bid for AOC in the January window, but he stayed firm and put the team first - something that not many of our former chairmen would have done. However much I would like to vote for the entire staff at SMS, my vote has to go to Lallana.
  3. Loughborough is a better University, but it's difficult when it comes to an Art course. One of my best mates is studying Graphic Design at Ravensbourne College in London (one of the best for Graphics in the UK), but he's not enjoying the course very much as it's not really focussed on the fields of Graphics that he's most interested in, so it's a bit tedious at the moment for him. Fine Art is slightly different though, as I imagine you'd be given more artistic freedom than on a Graphic Design course. Course content is a big winner - if the course at one place is centered more around what you enjoy and are good at, then that's always a good choice. Having said that, it's not all about the academic side of things. Accommodation is a bit thing - if one of them offers much cheaper accommodation without much difference in quality, then that's a big plus. There's also the nightlife of the city to take into account - I can imagine Notts would be far ahead on that side. Is it a campus uni, or is it in a city centre? Will there be much travelling involved to get to lectures etc? What is the cost of living in the area? I'm very pleased to have my place at Southampton, as it ticks all of those boxes for me (aside from cheap accommodation - i'm currently paying £4450 p/a for catered accommodation).
  4. Forte on for Lallana Martin on for Fonte.
  5. Fonte scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! WE ARE GOING UP!
  6. Whispering Dave is infuriated with Chaplow - he's giving away lots of silly free-kicks.
  7. YESSSSSSSSSSSS.....Sholing have taken the lead.
  8. "If you're listening to us anywhere funky, cool or nice this afternoon, then let us know." Christ.
  9. Hudders 2-1 up...f*ck
  10. Fonte brings down Yantorno in the area, no penalty given. 'Taters think it should have been a penalty.
  11. Seaborne booked, we're all over them though! Got to be a goal before HT.
  12. Plymouth beating MK Dons, Yeovil winning against Peterborough and Brizzle beating Bompey. Looks like we may be in for a bit of a play-offs shake-up.
  13. Guly puts it in!!!!!!! Ahh...offside. F*ck.
  14. Harding cross flashes across the face of the goal, unlucky! We need Barney to get on the end of those...
  15. I'd be up for a kickabout if I wasn't so appallingly unfit (plus dodgy knees). I'll get back to you in a few months PS: I think Hamster wants this thread to be a sticky.
  16. I don't think it's that much of a foregone conclusion - some polls are showing there to be as little as a 2 point gap between Yes and No.
  17. Just finished 'The Beach' by Alex Garland - loved it. I want to go to Thailand now.
  18. Even though i'm not really a fan of the AV system, i'll be voting Yes anyway, just to p!ss off the 'No' campaigners who have been saying completely untruthful things. Hopefully this referendum will cause a split in the coalition - I fear for the future of the Lib Dems the longer that they stay in partnership with the Tories, more and more MPs are coming out and saying they're utterly p!ssed off with the behaviour of the Tories.
  19. I'd be bitter as well if my home unbeaten record was ended at the hands of a team rife with injuries and half-fit players, especially if I had played my title-winning first XI against them.
  20. Here's hoping for a great result on Saturday - i'm off to Scotland now for a week without internet access. Try not to miss me too much!
  21. Got a ticket in the resale See you all at the Brothers bar!
  22. I'm going to run you over with my f*cking bus you c*nt!
  23. Lets hope that Brighton play a weaker team against us - on our day we can beat them but with the amount of injuries we've got at the moment (especially to key players) then it's looking very unlikely we'll take 3 points from them at home, against a full-strength Brighton team.
  24. That was f*cking hilarious, he's worse than 'Arry with excuses! Oh, and i'll take a 10-0 thrashing from Brighton every day of the week if it means that we finish in 2nd.
